Shota and his soldiers arrived at the Mount Hua Sect, a place filled with spiritual energy that they could not directly interact with. They were met with intense curiosity from the sect's disciples before being led to the main hall. There, the sect's elders greeted Shota, and negotiations began. Shota traded information about his powers for details about this world, learning that the corruption energy's release was an unintended consequence of the inhabitants' attempts to contain it.

"So spiritual energy can push the corruption energy and nothing else?"

There was a part of me that found this a bit hard to believe, which was why I took out a vial of corruption energy in the end.

The sect master and elders of the Mount Hua Sect were naturally caught off guard when they saw this. They immediately raised their guard as if they thought I was some kind of assassin.

But since the corruption energy was contained, they quickly changed their tone.

The way that they looked at me made it very clear what they were thinking.

"They know so much about the corruption energy that they’re even able to contain it like this. There’s no doubt that they’ll be able to solve the crisis that we’re facing."

Which was why they cooperated with me to demonstrate their abilities.

"So it can’t seem to swallow the spiritual energy fast enough, which is why it can push it. But if there isn’t a constant supply of spiritual energy provided, it doesn’t seem like it’ll last against the corruption energy."

Something as simple as this even I was able to figure out on my own.

It was just that I couldn’t understand what was so special about spiritual energy that made it hard for the corruption energy to swallow it.

It wasn’t as if spiritual energy was that much denser than mana and it wasn’t anywhere close to the same level as divine energy. Or else it would have been able to directly get rid of the corruption energy instead of just pushing it like this.

So there had to be something that made up the spiritual energy that gave it this property.

The problem was that I couldn’t keep analyzing the spiritual energy.

The way that the sect master and elders of the Mount Hua Sect looked at me, it was clear that they were hoping that I would demonstrate my abilities in return.

Which was why I had no choice but to show them the divine energy.

I could have had the others do it, but it definitely wouldn’t have been as effective as me demonstrating it myself. At the same time, it was also a good show of force just in case they were thinking anything.

Once they saw the divine energy, they couldn’t help looking at me with awe and shock.

But as they were looking at me, I couldn’t help feeling that their expressions were slowly changing.

The way that they looked at me was almost as if they were looking at something that they should worship. But for them to look at me this way made me confused since I didn’t know why they would feel this way about me.

"Lord immortal, please teach us your ways."

I was completely caught off guard when they suddenly asked me this and I couldn’t help looking around as if I was making sure that they were talking to me. But the way that they looked at me as they said this made it clear that I was the only one that they could be saying this to.

It was just that I couldn’t figure out what they meant by this.

"This is immortal energy from the upper realm. No matter how you look at it, this is immortal energy."

"Huh?"

It didn’t make any sense what they were saying at first, but slowly I was starting to understand why they were saying this.

Divine energy was the power that belonged to the gods, so from the perspective of the magic fantasy world, it could be said that they were upper beings.

When it came to the cultivation world, the equivalent of this would be the immortals of the upper realm.

"So does that mean that the gods of this world are the immortals?" Then after a pause, I couldn’t help thinking to myself, "Are there even immortals in this world? After all, this is a cultivation world that’s hidden under the magic fantasy world."

The more that I thought about it, the more that it seemed like this was something that was created by the God of Creation.

It would be similar to the different worlds that the God of Creation copied in the hidden floor of the dungeon.

Still it didn’t matter what this was, the only thing that mattered now was that we had discovered something else that was useful against the corruption energy.

Spiritual energy was something that could be imbued and used through artifacts, so if we could get some of these artifacts from the sects of this world, it would certainly be useful against the corruption energy.

But the first thing that had to be done was to learn more about this world and establish connections with the other sects.

It was hard for a single sect to provide a bunch of artifacts, but if there were a bunch of sects that were all giving a few artifacts each...

Even a small amount would add up if it came from all of these different sects.

"Is it possible to host a gathering with the other sects of this world? If possible, I wish to meet with their representatives so we can discuss cooperating with each other. After all, we all have the same common enemy."

There were awkward looks that appeared on the faces of the sect master and elders of the Mount Hua Sect.

Even if they didn’t show these expressions, I already knew what they were thinking.

It was just that this wasn’t possible to begin with.

Even if the Mount Hua Sect was the first sect that we met, it wasn’t as if they had enough power alone to help us.

What we were facing was the combined might of the forces of Destruction, so it was only natural that we would need the power of this entire world behind us.

Seeing that I wouldn’t bend on this, it seemed like they had no choice but to agree.

Which was why the sect master said with a sigh, "I’ll contact them and see what they say, but I can’t guarantee anything."
