Upon returning, the protagonist was immediately taken by Max to a warehouse. There, he was ordered by his wives to sort through the loot from the dungeon. While Max seemed initially expectant, he quickly became disappointed by the common items, only showing interest in the dragon organs for their medicinal properties. The protagonist paused, considering whether to reveal information about a hidden floor and a new monster he encountered, but decided against it to avoid causing panic, hinting at more surprising items to come.

"Just some rocks?"

This definitely wasn’t the reaction that I had been expecting from Max when I took out the materials that I got from the rock creatures.

I had wanted to start small and not surprise him too much, but it turned out that this just meant that I was looked down on.

As he said this, I looked at him with a strange look as I couldn’t understand what he was thinking. After all, these were clearly not normal rocks, these were rocks that shouldn’t have been like any other rocks out there.

Yet he was still calling them normal rocks.

"It’s his lack of awareness. Unless one knows that these are rocks from another world, it isn’t as if they would start looking at the things that are different. From the appearance alone, these rocks are just nothing more than simple rocks."

So I explained what these rocks were in the end.

After hearing this explanation, there was still a doubtful look that was on Max’s face.

However, he decided to listen to me and took out his equipment to test these rocks.

The moment that the tests showed their results, the look on his face immediately changed.

When the data was in front of him, it was impossible for him to deny the truth.

However, it was still hard for him to accept that this was something from a completely different world.

Though the strongest emotion that he was feeling at this moment wasn’t shock or disbelief, but rather excitement. It seemed like Max really wanted to take these rocks back and study them.

Though what he was hoping to find was definitely different from what Lin Fan hoped for.

"I wonder if there are any foreign bacteria that are on these rocks. Perhaps there’s some kind of disease that I’ve never seen before?"

No matter how one looked at it, it was clear that he was only interested in what he was interested in.

If he were to take these rocks, then he wouldn’t study the things that I wanted him to study.

So in the end, I didn’t let him take these rocks away.

Though I did help him by giving him a clue of what kind of illness that these rocks could cause. It wasn’t the normal kind of illness, but it was still something that was regarded as quite deadly in my past life.

At the same time, that kind of thing was also used for medicine.

It was the kind of medicine that was considered too strong and only used as a last attempt, but it was still something that was used to cure people.

"But I can’t sense anything from these rocks."

I understood why he was confused since these rocks were indeed the most stable elements that I had ever seen, but there was a way to make them unstable and release radiation.

Since I had these rocks all this time, it was only natural that I had taken a closer look at them.

I knew that as long as one used the right method, they would be able to make them release this radiation.

"I’ll show you later. This isn’t the right place."

Max seemed disappointed when he heard this, but he understood what I meant by this since there were all these other items that were gathered here. If we started releasing radiation all of a sudden, there really was no telling what kind of response would come from them.

At the same time, we had been ordered to organize all of the different items that I had brought back. It wasn’t as if we had the time to mess around since there were still other things that I had to take out.

"What is this?"

Max’s reaction was completely different when I took out the mechanical parts.

This was something that he had never seen before, but he used things that were similar.

They were things that were created by the Democratic Union, so they were technically the same machines. It was just that this was magic tech that was based on the technology from past civilizations.

They were nothing more than simple versions of the technology that I had brought back.

If one had to mention a difference, it was that this technology ran on magic rather than on electricity unlike the tech that I brought back.

Since he was the one that had commissioned most of the things from the Democratic Union, it was only natural that he would know how the machines worked.

With that knowledge, he was able to see how a few of the things that I took out worked.

It was just that he wasn’t able to understand the entire thing since it was just too advanced for him.

Still, it was clear that Max was excited because he could tell that these things would be useful to him. As long as he combined these parts with the machines that he was currently using, he would be able to create something that was much more powerful.

He might even be able to see through those rocks from earlier.

Seeing the expression on Max’s face, I already knew what he was thinking.

This was the reaction that I had been looking for the entire time and there was a part of me that couldn’t help feeling satisfied now that he was giving this reaction.

If this was the reaction that Max was giving, I could look forward to the reaction that the craftsman from the former Democratic Union would give.

They were the ones that had made the machines for Max.

Which meant that they were the ones with the greatest knowledge for magic tech.

As long as they saw these pieces, there was no doubt that they would be filled with inspiration.

When the time came, it was hard to imagine what kind of things they would come up with. However, there was no doubt that the things they came up with would be helpful to the races that lived on the continent.

That was just the nature of machines.

They were used to solve problems.
