Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure Chapter 2430: Visions of corruption (5)

The corruption energy monsters didn’t just let Morak and the rock creatures escape that easily.
When the rock ball covered in light started ascending to the sky, the corruption energy that was on the ground also started surging.
The corruption energy monsters started gathering together before going up into the sky as if they were chasing after the glowing rock ball. It didn’t seem like there was a problem for them to reach up into the sky, no matter how high up the glowing rock ball went.
It would never run out of corruption energy to keep building these tentacles that were chasing down the glowing rock ball.
So in the end, there were parts of the glowing rock ball that had to be discarded.
It wasn’t that they were being discarded to reduce the weight, they were being used as a sort of bait for the corruption energy tentacles chasing after them. The corruption energy tentacles were reacting to the parts of the glowing rock ball that were being released.
I couldn’t help thinking of how flares were used to counter heat seeking missiles.
In a way, this really was similar to that.
But the more that was discarded, the less power that the glowing rock ball seemed to possess.
All of its remaining power was being used to lift it upwards, so it really seemed like it was going to hurt the glowing rock ball in the long run.
Regardless, it seemed like they had reached a point where it was far enough from the corruption energy tentacles that it was considered safe.
It seemed like there was only a limit to how far the corruption energy tentacles could spread away from a planet.
"Is it because the gravity of the planet has an effect on it or is it because there’s something else that restrains the corruption energy from going any further?"
Regardless of what it was, it was what allowed the glowing rock ball to escape in the end. But when it escaped, there wasn’t even a third of the original glowing rock ball that was left.
Only that glowing rock ball didn’t dare remain on this planet for a second longer out of the fear of the corruption energy tentacles.
After the glowing rock ball disappeared, the corruption energy that remained acted the same way as before.
It first started swallowing everything that had been left behind before it started collapsing in on itself. It didn’t seem to matter that there was only the corruption energy left, it just continued to collapse in on itself before it completely disappeared without a trace.
This time, I couldn’t help wondering what happened to the space after the corruption energy had finished collapsing in on itself like this.
However, I didn’t get to see it.
Once more, the scenery changed in front of me to another planet.
This was also a planet that I recognized since it was the last one that I had visited before leaving the hidden floor.
This was also the one that seemed to have suffered the most because of how the world was created.
Since each of the different islands was isolated, it was already too late for the creatures that lived here to do anything.
In fact, it didn’t even seem like they cared at all if there was something that took down one of their farms. To them, there were plenty of other farms that they just didn’t mind if one broke down.
By the time that the cone headed creatures of this world reacted, the corruption energy had already spread to several different islands.
With several different islands worth of corruption energy gathered like this, it really was hard for them to fight back. There were countless corruption energy monsters that rained down on the main island that they all lived on.
But unlike Morak that just completely ignored its followers, Idon came out the moment that the fighting started.
Even though Idon was supposed to be a timid god that only hid away, it seemed like it really knew how to fight when it was being threatened.
Without any hesitation, it gave the cone headed creatures the divine energy that they needed.
It wasn’t that Idon knew that the divine energy had an effect on the corruption energy monsters, it was just that the divine energy was the most powerful weapon that it possessed.
The moment that they started fighting with the divine energy, the tides completely turned.
After all, Idon didn’t just give a bit of its divine energy to each one of its followers. It seemed to completely fill each of the followers with divine energy with how they glowed.
It really felt like Idon was burning its own life away to sustain this, but it also didn’t seem to be that way with how it continued giving the divine energy to its followers.
With how much divine energy Idon was able to provide, it really felt like there was no end to Idon’s divine energy.
I knew that this wasn’t possible since there was nothing that could provide this kind of divine energy.
Regardless of how many followers a god had or how the god might try to store divine energy, it was impossible to keep releasing this kind of powerful divine energy endlessly.
So there had to be some kind of trick or some kind of secret technique.
It was just that there were too many of the corruption energy monsters for Idon and its followers to keep up with. If they had found it earlier, then they might have been able to take it down.
But with all of these islands releasing corruption energy monsters, there was no way for them to stop it.
There were even more and more islands that were showing up as time passed.
It seemed like not all of the islands that were filled with corruption energy had come to attack this main island. There were others that had attacked other islands and swallowed them before bringing them over.
Even now, there was no telling just how many islands filled with corruption energy there were.
