"Who do you think you are to invade my world like this?"
There was the same arrogant tone that was in Morak’s voice as it said this, but it didn’t seem to have any effect on the corruption energy monsters when it rang out.
In the first place, the corruption energy monsters were driven by instinct, so it wasn’t as if they would be scared by something like this.
Unless it was something powerful that scared them on a fundamental level, it wasn’t as if they were going to back down from this.
So the rock creatures were still being chased even though Morak had shown itself.
Seeing that the corruption energy monsters ignored it, the one rock creature that had appeared covered in divine energy charged forward. It seemed like Morak was planning on using all of its powers to fight back against the corruption energy monsters.
When that rock creature covered in divine energy clashed with the corruption energy monsters, it was the corruption energy monsters that suffered for the first time.
They weren’t able to take the pure divine energy that was imbued in its attack and shattered apart with just a single blow.
"It’s that easy?" Morak couldn’t even seem to hide its surprise when it found that the corruption energy monster shattered like this.
But it soon found out that it wasn’t as simple as it thought.
After all, the only weakness of the corruption energy monsters was divine energy.
"This god’s a bit of an idiot..." I couldn’t help shaking my head as I muttered this.
Seeing Morak sending normal rock creatures out again to fight the corruption energy monsters, I didn’t know what it was thinking. After all, there were so many of the normal rock creatures that had already fallen to the corruption energy monsters.
Yet this god sent them out once again when it saw the corruption energy monster shattering under its blow.
"It wasn’t even watching what was happening before this..." I really didn’t know what to say when it came to how unprepared Morak was for dealing with the corruption energy monsters.
The only thing that I was certain of was that its arrogance had turned it into a fool.
But it wasn’t as if a god would be a complete fool.
So in the end, it was able to figure out the weakness of the corruption energy monsters and use its divine energy to fight against it. Morak even started splitting its divine energy down to the normal rock creatures in an attempt to push back the corruption energy monsters.
It was just that there weren’t enough of them left.
If Morak hadn’t gone on that suicidal charge in the beginning, this fight would have gone differently. But because it had sacrificed all of those rock creatures, it meant that there were more corruption energy monsters than there would have been.
In the end, it became a difference in manpower.
"How are there so many of them?" Morak’s voice was filled with bitterness at this point, but it wasn’t as if there was anything that it could do. After all, it was currently fighting a losing battle against these corruption energy monsters.
"Even if it’s losing this battle, it survived in the end, right? Or else it wouldn’t have been able to talk to me like that..."
This was something that I wasn’t as certain about.
After all, it wasn’t as if it was that easy for Morak to abandon this place like the robots did. The robots were a united colony, so it didn’t matter if they left most of their units behind.
As long as they found enough resources, they would be able to rebuild the units that were lost.
It wasn’t the same for Morak since its followers were living followers.
At the same time, most of its divine facilities were built in this place.
The moment that it abandoned all of this, then it would lose most of its power as a god.
If everything was destroyed, then it might lose all of its power as a god.
That was just how it was when it came to racial gods, they lost all of their powers when the race itself ceased to exist.
In the end, it turned out that I was wrong about all of this.
There was a special ability that the rock creatures possessed that allowed them to escape this place in the end.
Seeing that it didn’t have a choice, Morak suddenly called the most powerful of the rock creatures back. It didn’t care that the others were sacrificed, it only cared about saving its most powerful followers.
So the corruption energy monsters just swarmed those rock creatures that couldn’t defend against them at all, especially since Morak had pulled back all support with divine energy.
But they still made a wall that stopped the corruption energy monsters temporarily.
That was all that was needed for the rock creatures to gather themselves and the most important facilities together. All of it was made from rocks, so it was easy for them to move.
At the same time, it was easy for them to gather it all together since it was made of rocks.
Once they had all been gathered, they suddenly smushed up against each other as if they were melding with each other.
This process didn’t take long before a large rock ball appeared in the center where all of the rock creatures gathered. This rock ball was formed from the rock creatures that had gathered and the buildings that they had saved.
Once the giant rock ball was formed, there was this faint layer of light that appeared around it before it started floating up into the air.
With this layer of light around it, it started pushing up into the air.
It seemed like this rock ball was being lifted by the sheer divine energy of Morak, being sent to a completely different world.
"So it did escape in the end."
