Shota exited the hidden floor, finding a portal that he believed was the exit. A note from the creator confirmed it was the exit, but also hinted at the experience's purpose. However, stepping through the portal transported him to a familiar place, not back home, and he found himself in a memory state. He began to explore the memory, which seemed to depict a robot uprising, but then sensed a familiar corruption energy.

Corruption energy was a very unique thing, so it was very hard to mistake it for something else.

This dot of corruption energy that was on the ground was impossible to miss, especially since it was currently spreading. It looked like it wanted to keep spreading across this entire area until it swallowed everything.

It really seemed like there was nothing that could stop this corruption energy.

Since I was in an observer state, it wasn’t as if there was anything that I could do about this corruption energy. At the same time, it wasn’t as if I wanted to do anything about this corruption energy since I was just an outsider.

What I wanted to figure out how was why there was even corruption energy here.

At the same time, I couldn’t help wondering where the residents of this world were.

Even if there weren’t any humans left, there were still the robots that had taken out the humans. This was their territory, so would they really allow the corruption energy to spread like this?

"Well, it’s not as if they would know anything about corruption energy to begin with."

It didn’t take long for the robots to arrive, it was just that I had arrived in this place before the robots did.

The moment that they arrived, they immediately started analyzing the corruption energy that was there. But they didn’t just approach it right away, they released canisters that created a circle around the corruption energy.

It didn’t seem like the canisters were going to do anything at first, but then they suddenly released a blue light from them. It wasn’t a strong light, it was a faint blue light that created a wall between the different canisters.

"So it really was just a small outpost. It seemed like they didn’t even have most of their technology." I couldn’t stop the bitter feeling from filling me when I saw these canisters releasing this barrier.

Though I had already guessed this, it was completely different seeing it for myself.

After all, that confirmed that there was a powerful enemy that was after me.

No matter how I looked at the canisters, I wasn’t able to figure out what it was about these things that were releasing the barrier.

The only thing that I could tell was that the canisters were some kind of container for energy. As for how that energy was being converted into that barrier, I had no idea what the mechanisms were.

However, this wasn’t enough in front of the corruption energy.

Even though there was this barrier that was released, the corruption energy suddenly penetrated through it. The way that the corruption energy penetrated through the barrier was almost as if the barrier wasn’t there.

It didn’t seem to matter that the barrier had been deployed around it, it just went right through the blue barrier.

When it was done, it actually penetrated the robots that had been around and started corrupting them as well.

It didn’t seem to matter that these robots weren’t humans, the corruption energy broke them down just the same and turned them into corruption energy monsters.

The other robots started fighting the corruption energy monsters when they appeared, but it didn’t seem like they were able to do anything. All of the attacks that they launched were swallowed by the corruption energy monsters before they themselves were also swallowed.

It didn’t matter just what kind of weapon they used, it was all useless.

Not to mention that they brought out quite a few different weapons.

These were weapons that I had never seen before, they were weapons that were completely on a different level from the ones that I had faced. After all, these were kinetic and energy weapons, weapons that were far stronger than those simple exploding missiles and bullets.

But when it came to the corruption energy, it had no enemy at all as it swallowed everything.

The robots didn’t back down at first since they were all controlled by one thing and wouldn’t go against their orders. But eventually the one that was controlling the robots knew that it was useless to try and face the corruption energy head on like this and started calling the robots back.

The main brain of the robot network tried all kinds of different things as if it was desperate, but there was nothing that worked. Even when they tried to harvest samples of the corruption energy to study, there was nothing that they could do about it.

They didn’t have any containers that were able to hold the corruption energy.

Even those canisters that they produced were swallowed by the corruption energy and turned into corruption energy monsters. In fact, the strong energy inside of the energy canisters actually made more corruption energy monsters.

It was a canister that was filled with highly concentrated energy, so there was more for the corruption energy to absorb and use.

"Is this how this world ended?" A part of me was relieved seeing this since it meant that there was one less enemy for me to face. But if that was the case, then what was the voice that rang out in the dungeon?

Did that mean that this main processor had abandoned this planet and gone to another planet?

When they faced an enemy that they just couldn’t beat, this was a valid strategy.

As I was pondering this, there was something that came from behind me.

When I looked up, I found that there were several large robots that had appeared.

But instead of normal robots, I could tell that there was something strange that surrounded these robots. It was a form of energy that was actually on par with the corruption energy, even if it was a bit weaker than the corruption energy.

However with this, the robots had the ability to fight back against the corruption energy.

It was just that I had no idea where the robots got divine energy in the first place.
