The protagonist struggled to damage a monstrous behemoth guarding the exit of a hidden floor. Realizing conventional attacks were useless, he recalled that such beasts in games were often defeated by sealing methods or specific weaknesses. After much trial and error, he discovered the behemoth's skin was vulnerable to a combination of fire and ice attacks, specifically those infused with divine energy. However, subsequent attempts with the same combination yielded weaker results, suggesting a missing element to the strategy.

"It’s acid?"

I was surprised to find that it was the acid that was the missing piece of the puzzle.

It turned out that because the acid had melted part of the skin previously, it allowed the flames and ice to have an even greater effect on the skin of the behemoth.

Just based on how deep the wound went, it wasn’t just a small effect that this acid had.

"The more elements that are combined together, the more powerful the attack is."

Though it seemed like quite the simple idea, it wasn’t as if it was that easy to execute. After all, the attacks that were created from the divine energy were much stronger than normal attacks.

The more powerful they were, the more intense the energy contained within these attacks.

The more intense the energy, the harder it was to combine them.

So to combine even more than this really wasn’t simple.

But I couldn’t help feeling interested in trying to bring in as many elements as I could.

In a way, it was like a challenge since it required me to control all of the elements separately to make sure that they melded with each other.

Though there really was no doubting the power that came from this.

It was evident that the power in these combined attacks were great as more and more wounds appeared on the skin of the behemoth.

However, this wasn’t the only thing that I was interested in doing.

"If I were to combine it with my swords..."

As I was moving around the room, I summoned the swords once more. But this time, there were all kinds of different energies that were surrounding the swords.

Though they were surrounded in these different forms of energy, they just didn’t have the same power as the combined energy from before. However, I wasn’t worried at all as I continued studying the swords that were floating there.

After studying them for a while, I finally shot the swords out at the behemoth.

However, I did make sure to shoot only specific swords out at the behemoth.

One was covered in flames while the other was covered in ice.

The moment that the two of them converged, there was an explosion that was stronger than any that had rung out before. At the same time, the behemoth finally stopped charging forward.

Before this, it didn’t seem like there was anything that could stop the behemoth as it kept charging regardless of what hit it. But this time, it had no choice but to back down since the wound that had been inflicted was quite the gash.

There was even blood that was dripping down the side of the behemoth, something that hadn’t happened before no matter how deep the wounds were.

I couldn’t help being amazed by just how deep this wound was.

But not only was this attack much stronger than the previous attack, it also used up far less divine energy.

"It’s a much more efficient system of delivering the different forms of divine energy to its destination."

It took a while, but I was able to figure out why it was stronger.

Since it was more efficient, it meant that there was less of the divine energy that was wasted. With less divine energy that was wasted, it meant that there was more of it to put into the attack itself.

That was why the attacks were so much stronger now.

But even so, I felt like there was more to improve on when it came to this method.

"Let’s try three of them this time."

Three kinds of energy wasn’t as simple as I thought it would be.

Before it could all reach the destination, there were two kinds of energy that came too close to each other and ignited one another. The third attack didn’t even get a chance to reach the destination before it was knocked away by the explosion.

That didn’t mean that the behemoth wasn’t injured because of this.

The power contained within the two forms of energy were more than enough to create another bleeding wound on the behemoth. And this time because of the wound, the behemoth completely backed away.

It knew that this was dangerous for it, so it was no longer charging in recklessly.

I was happy to see this since I wanted the behemoth to last as long as possible.

"Where else would I be able to find such a durable test dummy?"

Gone was the worry that I felt before, there was only excitement that replaced it as I wanted to use this behemoth for as long as possible. After all, there were more things that I wanted to test using it.

It was as if the behemoth could sense that I had bad intentions towards it and it couldn’t help taking a step back.

But in the end, it didn’t matter since there was only so much space in this room and the behemoth wasn’t that fast in the first place. Even if it wanted to run, there just wasn’t a place for it to run to.

That was why the only thing that the behemoth could do was take the attacks that I released.

It tried many different things to avoid them, but it just simply wasn’t fast enough to do so.

The speed of the swords was just on a completely different level from it.

But even so, I wasn’t able to achieve the goal that I wanted to.

It took a lot of concentration to try and separate the three forms of energy.

If I didn’t focus properly, then two of the forms of energy would touch and explode.

It really didn’t seem like I had enough focus to keep them separated until the final moment and it seemed like the behemoth would disappear at any moment from its injuries.

But at the final moment, I was able to do so and created a much larger explosion than any that came before it.

"Where did the behemoth go?"
