Shota explores a bizarre hidden floor, discovering strange, alien-like plants that absorb nutrients and water directly from the air. He collects samples, speculating about their potential medicinal properties and their interaction with corruption energy.

After collecting the plants, I continued exploring this place to see if there was anything else that I could find.

Since this was part of the dungeon, there should be some kind of monster in this place.

It shouldn’t be completely devoid of anything other than plants like this.

That was unless there was something that was driving everything else away from this place.

It was similar to how there was nothing in the area around the Fenrir cave. The Fenrir pack that lived there was more than enough to drive everything else away with their presence alone.

If there was anything that dared to challenge the Fenrirs, then they certainly wouldn’t have left that place alive.

It was the same for whatever had taken this place as its territory.

Which was why I had my divine energy out around me the entire time.

Since I had no idea what I was even looking for, the only thing that I could do was release the divine energy around me as a form of sensor.

The moment that something approached, the divine energy bubble around me would tell me what was approaching me and allow me to react.

However, in a large room like this, this was nothing more than a desperate countermeasure. After all, there was no telling how long it would take for them to actually come for me.

There was no telling just how long I would have to walk like this until I reached the end of this room.

There was a part of me that just wanted to directly skip this room, but there was another part of me that didn’t want to.

This was a rare chance to experience something like this.

Even if I didn’t know anything about this place, just the fact that it was an alien world like this was already more than enough to pique my interest. That was why I wanted to learn more about this place.

Perhaps there might even be some kind of secret weapon here.

But as I continued forward, the expression on my face became worse and worse.

"Is there really not a single thing here?"

Even with all the ground that I had covered and all the time that I had spent here, it felt useless since there was nothing that appeared.

At this point, it already felt like I should have already long passed the territory of whatever was living here. After all, it wasn’t as if they should have been strong enough to conquer a territory this large.

Or perhaps this floor was ruled by a single boss?

As these questions passed through my mind, I finally chose the most simple answer.

"Let’s just mess this place up."

I hadn’t planned on doing this since I had wanted to peacefully collect some plants and kill some bosses. But now with how things seemed to go, it really didn’t seem like I would be able to find a single boss at this rate.

In that case, the only thing that I could do was create as much chaos as possible and lure them out. It would be like how I had tried to clear the dungeon for the first few floors.

I was confident enough in my abilities to deal with whatever showed up, so that was how I started digging up the plants en masse.

Or that would have been the case if not for something that suddenly appeared.

"It’s feeding on it?"

I looked closely at the creature that was attached to the plant that I had just pulled out.

From the appearance, it looked like some kind of worm.

But in terms of structure, I had no idea what the inside parts of this creature were supposed to do. There were just too many strange looking structures that a human like me couldn’t figure them out at all.

Of course, none of them were like what a normal worm should have.

At the very least, I could tell that this thing was feeding on the round base of the plant.

It seemed that this was how the creatures of this planet gathered nutrients.

As for how they digested it or how they even swallowed it, it was hard for me to understand.

From the scans that I had done of this thing, it didn’t seem like it had teeth or anything that could digest these things. It really seemed like it shouldn’t be able to swallow anything at all.

But the fact that it was stuck to the base of this thing really made it clear that it was drawing something out of it.

After observing this thing for a bit, I raised my hand and created a sword above this worm like thing.

As if it recognized the danger from this sword, the worm like thing detached itself from the plant and then tried to escape into the ground. Only before it could, I let the sword fall down and stab right through it.

The problem was that I had no idea what was fatal to this strange creature.

Adding in the fact that it didn’t explode into loot when it was stabbed and was still moving around, it seemed like I hadn’t been able to finish it off.

So the only thing that I could do was release more swords in hopes of taking down this worm. At the same time, the swords that fell came back up once more and stabbed the worm from below.

Each time that the worm was stabbed, I made sure to keep track of where it was being stabbed.

After all, I wanted to see just which part of this worm was considered a vital part.

But in the end, it reached a point where it didn’t matter.

With how many times the worm had been stabbed, it had already been ripped to pieces and had been turned to shreds.

It was only natural that its body would disappear and it would drop loot at that point.
