Shota followed a guide down a hatch into a hidden underground gambling den where participants wagered their lives. Attracted by the possibility of winning big, Shota decided to participate in a particularly dangerous and rigged game, much to the surprise of his guides who intended for him to lose and be killed.

The room that I was led into was a room that didn’t have anything special about it.

No matter how one looked at this room, this was a room that didn’t have a single identifier in it.

Other than a few doors that were on the walls, there wasn’t a single thing in this place.

That was because this was a maze.

The game itself was quite simple, one just had to make it to the end of the maze and they would be able to win a hundred times their money.

But how could they have made this maze easy to progress through?

If they were offering those kinds of odds, it was only natural that they would make this place as hard as possible.

Which was why they had completely filled this place with all kinds of dangerous things.

Just a single misstep was enough to take one’s life, so this was not a place that one could freely move in. But at the same time, it was a place that they made as confusing as possible so that people would walk into these traps.

That was why there wasn’t a single clue as to where to go.

"How long do you think it’ll take before he gets ripped apart?"

"No more than three rooms."

"There’s no way that he’ll be able to get more than five rooms."

Up above, there were all kinds of talk that came from those VIP observers. Others might not have been able to hear this, but I was able to hear it very clearly.

Since I had their attention, it meant that it was time to start messing with them.

I suddenly moved forward towards one of the doors in front of me. However, I didn’t open that door once I was in front of it and pressed my face up against the door as if I was listening for what was behind it.

I could hear them mocking me for doing this, but I didn’t care as I continued doing the same thing.

In the eyes of the observer, it really seemed like I had no idea what I was doing at all.

But then again, it wasn’t as if anyone could have predicted what I was doing.

Walking around the room a few times, there were a few people that urged me to just pick a door and go. However, I continued walking around the room like I was trying to find the right path.

It took a long time before I finally opened one of the doors, but they were all disappointed as the one that I chose led to a safe room.

Even if it was a safe room, it wasn’t as if much had changed about this place.

This room was just like the other rooms, completely devoid of anything meaningful that might have given me a clue as to where to go.

So that was why I continued looking around the room again.

"Just pick one already!"

"Your beginner’s luck is already used up!"

"Show us blood!"

The more that I delayed, the more riled up the crowd was.

I could hear just how much they wanted to see me torn to pieces by whatever was hidden behind these doors, but I just simply didn’t give them that satisfaction.

After walking around a bit more, I chose another safe door.

I could hear the disappointment that came from the crowd and the sounds of the staff trying to calm them down. After all, the only thing that the crowd wanted to see at this point was my blood.

After three more doors, the mood among the spectators became even worse.

Especially since I was basically milking them for all that they had at this point.

"No, it isn’t this door." I said at the last moment before switching doors each time.

Just when they thought that they would be able to see blood, I suddenly changed it up on them and went to a safe door. That feeling of being able to get released was taken away from them.

In a sense, I was edging their bloodlust.

One could only imagine just how frustrated they were because of the way that I was acting.

However, this was all done deliberately.

After all, I knew exactly what was hiding behind each of these doors.

It was the same trick that I had been using the entire time, but it was on a bigger scale this time since the board was bigger. Though the basics were still the same since it still applied to this case.

It was easy for me to send my divine energy through the doors and scan the rooms behind them.

In fact, I was doing it on a scale that gave me a birds eye view of all the different rooms that were here.

Seeing all of this, I had to admit that I was a bit impressed with the scale of rooms that they had prepared. The different things that were waiting behind the doors, these certainly were not things that were easily prepared.

It was clear that there was a large amount of money that passed through this place that allowed them to prepare all of this. Or it could even be said that the sponsors behind this casino really were high up that they could get them this.

But since I was able to see the entire place, it was easy for me to figure out a path.

The path that I took was one that led me to the rooms that were the most dangerous, but there was always a way out. I would always reach for that most dangerous room before reaching for the safe door.

That way they felt even more disappointed when I avoided the dangerous room.

However, it seemed like there were more tricks up the sleeves of the organizers.

It wasn’t as if they would just let me do what I wanted.

Especially since they were getting suspicious of what I was doing.
