"You’re saying that you’re the specialist sent by the kingdom and you’ve already found a way to revive the land?"

It didn’t matter how many times I told them this, it really didn’t seem like they believed me at all. But then again, it wasn’t as if I blamed them since I was someone that they were meeting for the first time.

Since I had been arranged to come to this place, it was only natural that the prime minister had arranged a contact for me that would help me take care of everything.

That included helping me convince these old farmers of this.

Though when I told them about this, it was clear that they were too prepared for this.

That contact didn’t doubt me for a second as they started explaining the situation to the old farmers.

Seeing this made me shake my head with a bitter smile.

It wasn’t hard to guess what the prime minister had told the contact before I came here. After all, they had prepared all of these old farmers to begin with for a reason.

Since the contact was someone from the kingdom with an official position, it was much easier for the old farmers to accept this. Though from the looks on their faces, it was clear that they still had their doubts.

Regardless of how they felt, I decided to start working on the fields that they would plant in.

Though I realized that to do some of the things that I wanted to do, it would mean exposing certain things. After all, it would take time to bring the fields back to life and if I wanted to show them something today, I had to use the stopwatch.

It was just that this stopwatch wasn’t something that I could show anyone just yet.

"Can you prepare some tools and bring them over?"

The old farmers seemed even more skeptical when they saw this, but it was a good thing that the contact was quick witted and understood what I wanted from them.

So they quickly brought everyone away to give me some private time with the field.

Without wasting any time, I transferred some of the dirt from my field over and started adding in the other things that were needed.

Once that was done, I activated the stopwatch and sped time up.

It didn’t take long for the field to be filled with life again, which was a good thing since it didn’t take long for them to come back. It seemed like the old farmers had even rushed back because they had been skeptical.

Once they were back, I naturally hid the stopwatch and moved out of the way.

The old farmers looked at me with strange looks, but they didn’t say anything since I had moved in such a way. They knew that I was letting them check the fields, which was why they didn’t waste any time.

"Hmm, the taste is a bit weak, but it’s still there."

I just didn’t know what to say when I saw them picking up the dirt and putting it in their mouths. Though to be fair, it wasn’t as if anyone would know how to react if people started eating dirt in front of them.

The only thing that I could do was wait for them to explain why they were eating this dirt.

However, it was strange seeing them pass the dirt among themselves.

This made it clear that this was some kind of old habit between these old farmers.

But at the same time, this was something that had been trained with experience.

This was the kind of thing that they would only start doing once they had the experience to do it correctly. Or else it would have been dangerous for them to do such a thing.

When they were done, they all looked at me with even stranger looks before one of them asked, "How did you do it?"

At least it seemed like they believed that I had revived the dirt.

However, it wasn’t as if I was going to tell them what I did in detail since it involved some secrets that I didn’t want to share.

The only thing that I told them was about the worms and bacteria that I had added.

"Umm..."

Seeing the blank looks on their faces, it was clear what they were thinking.

Which was why I stopped explaining this matter to them since it was clear that they didn’t understand. It wasn’t that I was looking down on them, it was just that they clearly didn’t want to hear anymore.

Though the one thing that changed was that they were looking at me with completely different looks.

It was as if they finally recognized me as the specialist that had been sent by the kingdom. If I was able to do all of this and change the dirt this much, they really had no choice but to believe me.

As such, these old farmers started treating me as one of them.

With the field’s status confirmed, they didn’t waste any time as they started plowing the fields.

While they were doing this, they actually told me all kinds of old tricks that they had.

They were old farmers for a reason, so they had picked up all kinds of tricks that made it easier for them.

Though it wasn’t as if I had any use for these since I didn’t work the same way as them.

I would use my powers to directly plow the land and sow the seeds, so it wasn’t as if I used these tricks.

Still, it was good to learn about them since it was an accumulation of knowledge passed down through generations.

This kind of thing was definitely something that was worth passing on.

After a while though, I went to take care of the other fields.

Since I had earned their trust, I was able to move all on my own which made things much easier.
