Since there were many things that had to be dealt with before disappearing, I went back to the Kite Kingdom to take care of my matters as well.

It wasn’t as if I could just disappear without a single word to my wives.

After a moment of awkwardness, I asked, "Are you sure about this? This situation is different now, so there’s no need for you to force yourself to do this."

Noah just shook his head before saying, "I know, but this is something that I want to do now. I know that what you’re doing is a sacrifice that you’re making on behalf of the entire world, so I know that I should also do my part."

"You don’t have to do a single thing."

Though I had asked him before if he was willing to do this to help distract the world from the matter with the forces of Destruction, I knew that it was different this time. What he was trying to do was create a distraction that would draw people’s attention away from my disappearance now.

That had a completely different meaning from just being a distraction for the people.

What he was doing now was actually drawing attention away from me going to complete the trial of the gods.

I looked at him with a complicated look while Angela came forward as if she wanted to talk him out of this.

I looked at Angela and she just shook her head to show that she didn’t know anything about this. It seemed like both of us had no idea that there was this side to Noah even though we were his brother in law and sister respectively.

In the end, he still worked up the courage to go forward to talk to her.

When Shadow One saw Noah approaching with that serious look on his face, she thought that he was here to discuss some important matters with her.

Seeing that he didn’t say anything, she couldn’t help feeling more worried.

It wasn’t just the fact that he was her superior, it was also the fact that she had feelings for him.

But in the end, he said, "Do you want to get married?"

This was just too much for Shadow One as she had no idea what he was talking about.

Though it was awkward, at least they had both gotten what they wanted.
