Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure Chapter 2160: Surging power
Previously on Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure...
After the flash of light faded away, I discovered myself standing before a familiar statue.
This was the identical statue that contained all the previous inheritances from the God of Creation.
Standing in front of the statue, a mysterious flow streamed from it straight into me. This was a sensation I'd never truly detected before now.
Yet this clearly proved the progress I'd achieved.
As it surged into me, an inner transformation stirred deep within. However, it didn't seem like a massive shift.
Truthfully, a sense of letdown washed over me regarding this change. After all, it paled in intensity compared to the prior one.
It seemed like I was getting just a tenth of the previous amount.
This lasted until the flow began to taper off. Right then, every bit of disappointment I felt evaporated.
"What is this sensation surging from deep within?"
It felt like an explosion bursting from my core, a surge that totally surprised me.
Particularly because it threatened to overwhelm me completely.
Almost like the contents inside the vessel overflowed its capacity. It seemed inevitable that it would burst apart soon.
"Damn it, why is it like this?"
I could gripe endlessly, but whining wouldn't help in the slightest. The only option left was...
"You belong to me, don’t think that you’ll break me." I growled through clenched teeth while starting to rein in that inner surge.
I threw everything I had into holding back the force that felt ready to tear me limb from limb.
Initially, it appeared useless since the inner sensation kept building relentlessly.
Fear even crept into my heart, making me worry that I might truly explode.
However, it eventually hit its climax.
Just when I thought I couldn't endure any longer, the pressure abruptly began to recede. This sudden reversal caught me completely unprepared.
Still, I didn't hesitate and kept pressing down on that sensation.
The odd part was...
"Is it going away on its own?"
A hunch told me that even without my efforts, this inner pressure would fade by itself.
It truly seemed like a trial tied to this inheritance, probing how much I could withstand.
"Then does that mean that if I had been able to suppress it more or endure it, it would have given me even more power?"
Regret tugged at me briefly, but my rational mind quickly shoved it aside.
In the end, it was just speculation, not proven fact. Even if it felt true, nothing could verify it.
Thus, it was wiser to drop it and concentrate on reality.
Once the pressure fully vanished, a brand new realm seemed to unfold. The instant it lifted, my senses went into hyperdrive.
It overwhelmed me, pulling me into a stunned trance.
Finally snapping out of it...
"Ah, this is too sharp."
Adapting to this sensory flood wasn't simple or quick.
I needed time to gradually adjust. Even then, my vision stayed somewhat hazy.
This marked a total overhaul of my body.
I'd ascended to an entirely new tier from before.
That surge of power filled me with assurance.
"If it’s this kind of power, I should be able to face War..."
With nothing remaining to guard, at least I could avenge those I cherished.
What came after that, I had no clue.
"That’s for later, right now the most important thing is to take revenge." I muttered, as if persuading myself.
With nothing more here, I turned to depart. But something I spotted right then halted me in my tracks.
"Did it change?"
I wondered aloud, fixing my gaze on the statue before me.
After scrutinizing it closely, I pinpointed the difference.
"The mosaic...is weaker than before?"
The mosaic concealing the God of Creation’s face lingered, yet it had noticeably faded.
Though still present, it blurred less, letting me glimpse some facial features on the statue.
Nevertheless, the statue's face remained mostly indistinct. I could only discern its rough outline, nothing precise.
That single fact was proof enough that my power had surged far beyond its previous level.
Still, another notion struck me as I beheld the sight.
"I already knew she surpassed the other gods in strength, but exactly how mighty is she?"
Last time, I had been able to discern the outlines of the other gods, and further training only sharpened that vision.
However, the God of Creation's form remained completely indistinct to me, even at this point.
