Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure Chapter 2131: Dragon roar
Previously on Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure...
While racing through the countryside, traces of corruption energy visible everywhere caught my attention.
The nobles of the Kite Kingdom had received weapons long ago to fend off the corruption energy monsters, yet the crisis was evidently severe.
Despite possessing these weapons, clearing out every threat proved challenging for them.
All they managed was rescuing whoever they could and safeguarding what was possible.
Yet, the widespread corruption signs blanketing the land were truly striking.
It genuinely resembled a massive catastrophe.
"Does this mean they're just going all out?"
After all, deploying such forces from the forces of Destruction must have required extensive preparation. This setup was meant for the elementals, so why unleash it now after we sealed the elementals?
The deeper I pondered, the more baffled I became by the whole affair.
It didn't strike me as a clever strategy from the forces of Destruction.
Another observation while soaring through the sky was that all the corruption energy monsters appeared headed in one direction. They dashed across the fields, united toward a common target.
That direction matched our flight path exactly.
From this alone, their destination was obvious.
"The capital... They aim to overwhelm it, hoping to break through and seize their target..."
Joan made a noise from beneath me, prompting my reply, "I'm okay, no need to worry."
After a brief hesitation, I continued, "Pick up the pace a little."
Joan stayed silent, but she channeled extra divine energy to accelerate.
Prior to this, we'd maintained a steady speed to conserve energy, but now the urgency escalated. The capital seemed on the verge of disaster soon.
Thus, we decided to exert ourselves for the final stretch.
However, nearing the capital, an unexpected roar echoed.
"Roar!"
Accompanying the roar, a surge of golden light erupted.
A lone flash of golden light streaked past us harmlessly, yet it repelled the corruption energy monsters below.
Far off, some corruption energy monsters even disintegrated from the golden light's impact.
This golden light was far from ordinary in its effect on corruption energy monsters. Seeing it and hearing the roar stirred a familiar memory in me.
"You don't think it's..."
I trailed off, but Joan's response confirmed she shared my suspicion.
If so, the crisis was far graver than anticipated, with even this unfolding.
"Go."
A single command, and we unleashed full throttle.
So close to the capital, one final burst would get us there. No time to waste now.
That's why we abandoned all restraint, tapping every ounce of power to maximize speed.
At that velocity, the capital was mere minutes away.
Those minutes, however, dragged on endlessly.
Upon reaching the capital, shock gripped us at the sight.
It was nothing like what we'd anticipated.
"Is that a golden dragon?"
This time, Joan remained speechless, equally stunned.
Words failed to capture the scene, but its clarity left no doubt. A barrier enveloped the capital entirely, shielding it.
The barrier's form mimicked a dragon, glowing with the same golden hue as the earlier light burst.
"This is clearly Arthur’s power, but why so potent?"
Joan offered no reply to my murmur.
We both struggled to comprehend it, but the capital stayed secure thanks to it. Despite relentless assaults, the corruption energy monsters couldn't pierce the golden barrier.
Actually, those touching the barrier faced backlash, their striking force rebounding to annihilate the contacting parts.
"Let’s help clear them out. No telling how long it'll hold."
Joan signaled agreement this time.
We summoned our power again, with Joan amassing flames in her jaws.
Power fully charged, we unleashed it in a torrent.
Flames engulfed the corruption energy monsters encircling the capital, purifying them instantly.
Curiously, upon touching the golden barrier, the flames appeared to bolster it further.
"What exactly is this power?" I muttered in awe at the sight.
