A young magician questioned the absence of mana in the woods, leading the protagonist to mediate with the reticent wood elementals. The elementals admitted consuming the mana for their survival and harvesting it from deceased dinosaurs. The protagonist revealed that the dinosaurs gradually lost their mana abilities across generations due to an unsuitable environment, astonishing the elementals with his insight.

Just as we departed, a voice abruptly echoed from the surroundings.

"As long as you don’t lose your way, you will be able to find the truth."

I instinctively turned around to glance at the wood elemental ancestors, yet there was no response from them. Still, I recognized it as their voices suddenly resounding like that.

Regarding the reason they offered such guidance...

The surrounding wood elementals wore embarrassed expressions, revealing their own confusion about their ancestors' actions.

Nevertheless, my companions kept staring at them, seemingly urging them to explain.

Ultimately, I remarked, "It’s fine. I’m sure that they have a reason for telling us this."

My group didn’t appear entirely persuaded, yet there was little more I could add. The wood elemental ancestors had chosen not to reveal this to us, leaving us powerless to press further.

At minimum, we couldn’t allow this to damage our ties with the elementals, as their aid would prove vital later.

Despite the tense atmosphere lingering, we parted amicably with the elementals in the end.

Upon exiting, we followed our routine by sealing the entrance to the elementals' territory.

Yet trouble arose right after sealing it and departing the taboo zone.

"What are all of you doing here?"

Shock gripped me upon discovering messengers from various nations waiting for us. Their facial expressions suggested many had debated rushing in to locate us.

They wouldn’t have considered that without a grave issue at hand.

"It’s a disaster."

That captured the essence of their reports.

Everything tied back to the corruption energy scattered across the continent. Until recently, the weapons we supplied had kept it in check, but suddenly something agitated the corruption energy.

Corruption energy monsters erupted across the continent out of nowhere.

The cause remained unknown, but with countless monsters emerging, there was no moment to ponder it amid the crisis.

"What is the biggest situation?"

My question prompted awkward expressions across the messengers' faces, a familiar sight after the elementals' earlier behavior.

Time was short for delays, though.

"Tell me." I demanded firmly.

At last, a messenger replied, "It’s the Kite Kingdom."

Without pause for others, I leaped onto Joan’s back and soared away.

Royal guards trailed behind, but their pace lagged, prompting me to place my hand on Joan’s forehead.

Our combined effort boosted Joan’s velocity rapidly.

Soon, she left the royal guards far behind.

My sole concern then was arriving in time to rescue my family.

Achieving unprecedented speed, we swiftly reached the Kite Kingdom’s borders.

Arrival revealed utter pandemonium at the borders.

As my kingdom, I’d equipped our forces generously with divine energy weapons for protection. Even so, the troops seemed outnumbered against the onslaught.

Corruption energy monsters poured forth endlessly, as if bursting from every crack.

Still, our soldiers held firm without being overrun.

The rigorous training we’d implemented shone through in their response.

Yet the relentless spawn of corruption energy monsters hinted at an impending crisis, with no sign of abatement.

Thus, I stroked Joan’s head again.

Joan instantly grasped my intent, sensing the divine energy I emitted. Silently, she drew it in, concentrating it within her maw.

Upon peaking, she unleashed a single mighty breath enveloping the whole battlefield.

Previously impossible, this feat now succeeded thanks to our enhanced training and the amplified Mark of God power.

This devastating breath eradicated the corruption energy monsters, granting ground troops a vital respite.

Simultaneously, their gazes lifted toward us.

Hope gleamed in their eyes as they watched.

"Keep holding the lines! Support will be here soon!"

Roars of cheers exploded after my command, though I pressed onward without lingering.

More corruption energy monsters gathered afar, but my focus remained singular.

Reaching the capital without delay was imperative.
