Shadows of the Deep Space Chapter 1732 - 546: Public Execution (Part 3)
Previously on Shadows of the Deep Space...
Wicket shook his head as his reply.
Su Ming's face turned grim the moment he heard this, and he whispered to himself.
"Ruoxue, please stay safe."
Right then, Wicket went on with a tone full of regret.
"Those scoundrels from the Heavenly Revelation Divine Country, after seizing back the rear production zone, launched a ruthless purge in a frenzy, slaughtering folks daily. We attempted resistance too, but without your presence, we achieved zilch; our only choice was to flee underground."
"Don't despair; I've returned."
Su Ming extended his hand, clapped Wicket on the shoulder, and declared.
"Yeah!"
Wicket and his companions answered with fervor.
"By the way, is the Emkaine Bishop still alive?"
Su Ming pressed further.
"It appears so."
"Then, where's he imprisoned?"
"No clue on that. We'll need to dig around."
Wicket informed Su Ming.
"Fine, work on locating the Emkaine Bishop's holding spot."
Su Ming directed Wicket.
The Federation faces imminent siege. To deal a heavy blow to the Heavenly Revelation Divine Country, severing their supplies and crumbling their rear production is essential, sparking logistics woes for their forces and blocking sustained battles.
Yet, pulling this off hinges on the Divine Word Legion as a key element, with the Emkaine Bishop at its heart, so rescuing him is imperative if feasible.
"Got it."
Wicket nodded in agreement.
"Stay cautious during the probe; avoid drawing notice."
Su Ming cautioned Wicket and the rest.
"We get it, sir. Eaten anything?"
"Haven't yet."
"Want some dried rat meat?"
Jieva and the others offered, a bit sheepishly.
With a smile, Su Ming replied.
"No thanks, let me treat everyone."
"Huh?"
Wicket and his group froze in shock at those words.
"You'll see shortly."
Su Ming lifted his wristband, firing off a message to Ankaga and company.
Before long.
A sudden gust brushed Wicket and the others, though their eyes caught nothing.
That's when Su Ming addressed the group.
"All of you, fall back and empty the square!"
Puzzled as they were, Wicket and his fellows withdrew promptly.
All at once, Green Wing Mechas entwined with Mechanical Octopuses, clutching mechanical supply crates, materialized smack in the square's heart.
Wicket and the others gawked in disbelief.
The mechas set down the crates, then popped their cockpits open.
Ankaga and his team descended lightly, yelling joyfully.
"Boss, we've arrived!"
"Mm, unpack every supply box!"
Su Ming ordered Ankaga and the crew.
"On it!"
Ankaga and his bunch moved in, hitting the release buttons.
Inside each crate spilled packs of beef jerky, compressed biscuits, loaves of bread, and more grub, instantly grabbing Wicket and others' eyes.
"This much food?"
Wicket and his mates cried out in awe.
"Dig in freely, help yourselves to your heart's content!"
Su Ming told Wicket and the group.
"For real?"
Wicket and the others wondered if it was all a dream.
"Absolutely real!"
Su Ming assured the crowd.
Thrilled beyond measure, Wicket dashed forward, snatched bread, beef jerky, and such, ripped the wrappers, and wolfed them down.
"So tasty!"
"Is this actual meat flavor?"
"Whoa, vegetable crisps too?"
…
Tears flowed as Jieva and the rest chowed down heartily.
Beholding the sight, Ankaga looked baffled and murmured to Su Ming.
"Boss, who's this lot? Acting like they starved for centuries?"
Su Ming placed a hand on Ankaga’s shoulder and explained.
"They're my subordinates as well, all part of our crew. Spot on—some haven't savored a decent meal in a century."
Ankaga's eyes softened with pity toward Wicket and the others upon hearing this; he called out to them.
"Eat slow, no rush. We've got plenty, tons more if needed!"
"Thank you."
The group responded with excitement.
"Damn, the Heavenly Revelation Divine Country treats folks worse than dirt. Can't fathom why they ditched the Federation."
Ankaga muttered under his breath.
"Not everything boils down to right or wrong."
Su Ming stated evenly.

Semikani Planet·Production Base.
In a lavish office of utmost luxury, Vice Sect Hierarch Du Saka lounged on a leather couch, cradling a goblet of blood-red wine, relishing it slowly.
Misak fawned servilely.
"Lord, does this wine please you?"
"Merely passable."
Du Saka responded coolly.
As Misak drew a blank, Froco swiftly presented an opulent gift box.
"Lord, a humble gift from me. Kindly accept it."
"Alright, but the quantity is too small."
Du Saka seized the box, pried it open, and inside lay a fairly sizable chunk of Eternal Metal, prompting his remark.
"Got it, next time I’ll definitely fetch you a larger one."
Froco silently damned Du Saka’s forefathers with vicious curses in his mind, all while forcing a bootlicking grin onto his face.
Right then, the office door swung wide, and Fei Alu stepped inside, his face etched with clear discomfort as he began to speak.
"Lord Du Saka."
"What’s wrong?"
Du Saka cast a quick glance at Fei Alu and questioned.
Fei Alu gathered his courage and gave the report.
"Lord Du Saka, reports just came in from down below—the No. 3 production plant on Atido Planet got bombed, production has ground to a halt, and the Long Distance Voyage transport ship was seized by leftover forces of the Divine Word Army....
Bang!
Du Saka smashed the wine glass to the floor before Fei Alu could wrap up his briefing.
The whole glass burst apart into fragments, with the blood-red wine soaking into the ground.
