Novlin accepted weapons and a gift from Su Ming's Thunder Extreme, watching it depart with silent tears as her people rejoiced. Fanluo God Emperor's fleet rendezvoused with the Dark Star Empire at the Bright Star Sea's edge. In a frosty hall aboard the Void, Fanluo proposed alliance against the Federation, but Emperor Igoshim mocked his form and rejected cooperation outright, taking only the attack schedule before departing.

Forbidden God Abyss.

In a starry sky of profound darkness, resembling an endless abyss.

Kroos guided the VI Generation Mecha·Purgatory Blade steadily onward. All scanning instruments lay useless, with only optical sensors faintly detecting nearby shapes.

"Pamie, are you sure there’s no issue? We’ve searched for ages without spotting anything."

An instinctive discomfort gripped Kroos.

Amid the abyssal starry void, countless eyes appeared to scrutinize him.

He felt as though dancing precariously on death's brink.

"It can’t be that straightforward to locate. Scanning devices fail entirely here. The Mechanical Clan’s innate skill functions marginally, yet the detection range remains extremely confined."

Pamie responded to Kroos.

"Alright."

Kroos answered, smiling.

"Veer left!"

Pamie directed at that instant.

Following Pamie’s order, Kroos promptly maneuvered the mecha toward the indicated path.

Time trickled by slowly.

Kroos continued steering the Purgatory Blade ahead.

Then, eerie wails echoed in his ears, the cockpit growing ever darker, as if devoured by shadows and pulled into the depths.

After an indeterminate period, the scene around him shifted dramatically.

"Kroos!"

....

Faces known to Kroos surfaced from the obscurity, approaching him warmly.

Kroos observed his classmates, family members, and allies present.

His consciousness blurred further.

Suddenly, the figures before him transformed into icy cadavers, blood painting the world scarlet.

Kroos’s face muscles twitched subtly.

A gentle voice then sounded.

"Kroos!"

Kroos raised his eyes.

Qing Yin appeared in a spotless white gown, sweeping hair behind her ear, smiling as she called to him.

In the blink of an eye, Tamke stepped behind Qing Yin, embracing her while directing a derisive grin at Kroos.

"Incompetent waste!"

Kroos offered no reply, merely staring vacantly at Qing Yin.

Pamie swiftly recognized Kroos’s deteriorating mental state and warned him promptly.

"Kroos, concentrate—resist the abyss’s corrosion."

Sadly, Kroos’s mental metrics showed no recovery; anomalous levels climbed steadily.

Pamie grew alarmed, suspecting Kroos neared loss of control.

But then, Kroos calmly extracted a cigarette from his pocket, lit it without expression, drew deeply, and exhaled languidly.

Pamie stared in brief surprise.

Kroos stood unshaken, beyond mere willpower.

Through Kroos’s mind, Pamie sensed intense frigidity and ruinous impulse, heightening her concern.

Kroos extinguished his cigarette and declared evenly.

"I’m fine!"

Before Pamie could speak, she cried out.

"Finally found it!"

At Pamie’s words, Kroos peered into the distance.

A stone radiating violet light hovered amid the dark cosmos, its glow unquenched by the void, space twisting savagely around it.

Kroos directed the Purgatory Blade nearer, grasped the stone, and grinned.

"Got it!"

"Looks like you’re in luck, securing the Dimension Stone."

Pamie said hoarsely to Kroos.

"Can we head back now? Staying longer might spell disaster."

Kroos inquired with cheer.

"We can. Let’s leave!"

Pamie proceeded to navigate Kroos out.

Within Starlight City·Federation Administrative Building Office.

Long Bai sat behind the desk, quickly processing paperwork.

Yun Rou stood respectfully nearby.

Knock knock~

A knock resounded at the door.

"Come in!"

Long Bai uttered coldly.

The door opened, and Ferion entered hastily, delivering his report to Long Bai.

"Lord Long Bai, latest reports indicate the Dark Star Empire and Heavenly Revelation Divine Country have allied, worsening the crisis."

"Is their assault timing confirmed?"

Long Bai set down his pen and questioned.

"Not yet, no precise time. However, conditions point to an attack soon!"

Ferion briefed Long Bai.

"Status of the Mechanical Clan?"

Long Bai asked right away.

"Unfavorable. Deputy Clan Leader Elrosatin absorbed the war remnants from Bright Star Sea, finishing another troop buildup. Their armies advance on our position! Our agents in Heavenly Revelation Divine Country bring even graver tidings."

Ferion went on.

"What news?"

Long Bai inquired, frowning deeply.

"The forces of the Chilami Clan have emerged from their stronghold, infiltrating the Heavenly Revelation Divine Country’s domain and advancing toward the Tidal Star Sea. This time, all three primary defensive lines are likely to face simultaneous assaults!"

Ferion declared gravely.

"What’s the situation with troop placements on the three main defense lines?"

Long Bai inquired in a solemn tone.

"Deployments have been reinforced, yet the outlook stays dire. Sky Dome City’s troops are securing the Black Flame Star front, so no major worries there—their battle prowess is renowned. Commander Alekde’s personal oversight keeps the Cui Lan Star Defense Line fairly stable too. The real peril lies at the Nether Moon Star Defense Line; you’re aware how the Rain Capital forces fall short compared to the others in combat power. Compounding it, Heavenly Revelation Divine Country elements are scheming with Chilami, making the Nether Moon Star Defense Line fight two foes simultaneously! I dread that the Rain Capital will buckle first and shatter."
