Capítulo 1718: Chapter 543: Mutation_6
The operator informed Timi urgently.
“Lord Timi, trouble has arisen. The troops beyond the Land of Lost have abruptly mobilized and launched an assault on the Land of Lost!”
“I’m aware.”
“Lord Timi, what’s our next move? Lord Su Ming remains within the Land of Lost.”
“Stay calm and don’t rush into action. We’ll reach out to Lord Su Ming first to understand the situation.”
Timi responded with remarkable composure.
Rash moves now, mistaking allies for foes, could spell disaster.
“Understood!”
The operator acknowledged promptly.
Suddenly, an encrypted communication appeared on the control panel.
“Incoming message from Lord Su Ming.”
The operator quickly alerted Timi.
Timi gestured to display the message, scanned its contents, and issued orders.
“Activate the battle alert, commence main cannon charging…”
“Yes, sir!”
The operator replied without delay.

————————————
Within the Lost Arena.
Su Ming and his allies stealthily returned to the arena’s entrance.
All spectators had withdrawn to the rear seats of the stands, gazing at the arena in dread.
The arena’s combat zone erupted in turmoil, yet its vast size—spanning more than a dozen square kilometers—allowed the clash to rage freely inside.
Live footage of the fierce confrontation streamed across the virtual display nonstop.
Su Ming took a quick look; things weren’t dire yet.
Fager’s mecha boasted immense power, but Otaine’s team of adept fighters surrounded and pressured him, letting him cling on by a thread.
Growing impatient with the prolonged fight—which only worsened his position—Fager became furious.
He maneuvered the Demon Hunter to savagely wield the dark blade, hacking relentlessly at Otaine.
Otaine avoided direct confrontations, pulling back and evading ceaselessly.
Jikol and his comrades seized the moment, directing their V Generation Mecha to unleash volley after volley of beams from afar.
Zi-la!
The energy blasts hammered the GN Position Barrier, sparking wildly.
The GN Position Barrier warped intensely before finally crumbling under the onslaught.
“You pesky insects!”
Fager pivoted to eliminate Jikol’s squad first.
Otaine’s gaze sharpened; he unleashed the Lord of Lost at full throttle, lunging ahead and striking down with an open palm at Fager.
A sly grin tugged at Fager’s lips; he didn’t evade but raised his energy shield to absorb the blow, then countered with his own weapon toward Otaine.
Crack!
Each strike landed on the opponent’s protective field.
The Demon Hunter’s barrier shuddered fiercely, whereas the Lord of Lost’s shattered outright.
Otaine drew a sharp breath in alarm and pulled back swiftly!
“Where do you think you’re going, old timer!”
Fager surged forward abruptly, slashing with his left-hand blade at Otaine.
Otaine lifted his weapon to parry instantly.
Crack!
Weapons clashed, sending sparks flying in all directions.
The colossal impact crushed the Lord of Lost’s frame, bending the mecha under the strain.
“Old Ao!”
Jikol and Vice City Lord Medot drove their mechas into the fray together.
Jikol struck first from the right flank, unleashing a rapid cut at the Demon Hunter.
“Seeking your doom!”
Fager swept his right blade in a wide arc.
Crack!
The Holy Light Blade got flung aside entirely.
Still, Jikol’s strike bought Otaine precious time to recover, allowing another swing at Fager.
Forced to withdraw and evade, Fager yielded ground.
Meanwhile, Vice City Lord Medot piloted his mecha from Otaine’s rear, targeting the Demon Hunter with the Super Particle Beam Cannon at peak charge.
Right before firing, a sinister smile crossed his face as he redirected the barrel.
Swish!
A crimson beam lanced out, slamming straight into the Lord of Lost.
Boom~
A tremendous blast rocked the arena.
The Lord of Lost hurtled backward, smashing hard into the floor.
“Medot!”
Hovido witnessed the betrayal and furiously commanded the Fake V Generation Mecha·Shadow Prison to rush in.
Beams then targeted Hovido.
Boom Boom Boom!
Multiple hits jolted his mecha severely.
Whirling around in rage, he spotted Black Death Society·Monrao firing at him—clearly, these traitors had flipped sides.
“We’re done for, Boss; they’ve betrayed us.”
Zhang Yi muttered grimly after seeing it all.
“I’ve noticed.”
Su Ming observed the chaotic betrayal from the entrance with steady poise.
Seizing the moment, Fager powered the Demon Hunter for a devastating strike on the recovering Lord of Mist.
“Father, watch out!”
Hovido and the others cried out in alarm.
“Perish!”
Fager unleashed a potent black beam toward them.
In that instant, Jikol darted the Holy Light Blade forward via Light Speed Fold Flash, positioning before Otaine and erecting the GN Position Barrier.
Boom!
An enormous detonation followed.
The sight shocked everyone present; no one foresaw Jikol endangering himself to block that assault.
Truth be told, Corps Commander Jikol and City Lord Otaine shared a bond far beyond mere familiarity. They had once become sworn brothers through trials, a closely guarded secret.
“Jikol, are you okay?”
Otaine inquired, worry evident in his voice.
“I’m fine!”
Jikol answered solemnly.
Right then, Fager burst into a mocking cackle.
“Now it’s clear why Father chose to defy the Dark Star Empire for the Holy Army’s sake—you two are deeply connected!”
“You scum, I’ll kill you one day! Medot, Monrao! How dare you turn against me!”
Otaine roared, his expression twisted in fury.
“Old timer, you’ve clung to that seat too long; time to retire!”
Medot shot back with a contemptuous grin.
Just then, Prince Fergus arrived in a massive sixty-meter V Generation Mecha·Wind Raider, forged from gleaming cyan metal, featuring two pairs of Vector Auxiliary Devices at the waist and three pairs of cyan Light Wings on the back, gripping dual Super Particle Light Blades, as he descended alongside a squadron of mechas.
“Fager, what’s the holdup? Why haven’t you taken out the old man and Jikol yet?”
Fergus demanded, irritation clear.
“My apologies, Lord Fergus; this geezer’s cunning is exceptional, but he’s almost done for.”
Fager responded humbly.
“Fergus, I misjudged you; I should’ve eliminated you sooner.”
Otaine stated icily.
“Haha, regrets won’t help now. Here’s the truth: my troops have the whole arena encircled, and your forces will be wiped out soon enough. Forget any hope of outside aid—they can’t breach our lines. Surrender now if you’re smart; I might let you live.”
Fergus boasted arrogantly.
