Shadows of the Deep Space Chapter 1716 - 543: Mutation_4
Previously on Shadows of the Deep Space...
All the far-off onlookers revealed faces twisted in sheer horror and screamed out.
"Run!"
...
The whole arena plunged straight into pandemonium.
Even though these watchers were all reckless thrill-seekers, none of them actually sought death.
Once the shockwave faded, Novlin’s face shifted subtly as she raised her gaze, eyed Su Ming briefly, then turned toward the primary viewing stand.
"Lord Jikol!"
...
Numerous Holy Army soldiers cried out in utter desperation.
Su Ming stared at the primary viewing stand engulfed by the blast, his expression turning incredibly grim. From that blast, probably everyone atop the main viewing platform was finished.
Yet, as the blaze and fumes from the detonation dispersed, a sturdy eternal metal barrier wall emerged from the main viewing platform.
However, the middle of that metal barrier wall dipped inward, its exterior riddled with fissures.
It had evidently taken heavy harm, yet it managed to endure.
Fager’s countenance grew dark, and he promptly maneuvered the mecha to charge energy once more, firing off yet another beam.
Boom!
In a flash, the metal barrier wall got breached, obliterating the entire main viewing platform.
Witnessing this, the faint optimism that had sparked in Novlin and her companions vanished in an instant.
Still, once the blast concluded, a massive crater appeared right in the heart of the main viewing platform.
Upon seeing that, Fager knitted his brows; clearly, the old fellow had fled.
Right then, the virtual display switched on, showing Otaine’s hologram, who spoke to Fager in icy tones.
"Rebel, do you truly believe you can slay me this way? Far too naive—your doom approaches shortly!"
"Father, are you buying time for reinforcements from outside? If so, abandon those delusions."
Fager lifted his arm and gestured skyward.
His followers piloted the Green Wings Mecha to launch a signal flare upward.
Bang!
A crimson skull materialized high over the city.
At once, ferocious blasts erupted across every corner of the Lost City, while shrill alarm klaxons wailed nonstop.
"Very well! Let’s see who has the last laugh today—attack!"
Otaine, seething with fury, issued the command.
Platforms ascended within the arena at that instant, unleashing Iron Guards, Barbarian Beasts, and Shadow Slayer Mechas that charged at Fager with savage assaults.
Streams of light beams streaked toward him.
Fager swiftly engaged the GN Position Barrier.
Those beams striking the GN Position Barrier resembled rain pattering on a pond, utterly ineffective.
Fager powered up the mecha anew, unleashing a devastating sweep.
Rumble~
Mechanized mechas got eradicated like mere garbage.
"Just these weaklings?"
Fager scoffed.
Then, the arena’s ground trembled violently, followed by a colossal platform emerging. Atop it loomed a Fake VI Generation Mecha·Lord of Lost, towering 150 meters high, clad in ebony heavy plating etched with intricate designs, a multifaceted light ring set in its torso, a massive Super Particle Beam Cannon on the shoulder, twin obsidian metal swords clutched in its grips, and six pairs of mechanical light wings fitted to its rear.
Su Ming eyed this Lord of Lost. Though a Fake VI Generation Mecha, its build was plainly subpar compared to the Demon Hunter, probably hastily assembled by the Land of Lost.
"Old man! You’ve finally shown yourself."
Fager gazed at Otaine and sneered coldly.
"Rebel, surrender immediately and disembark the mecha, and I’ll let you live; else, today marks your end."
Otaine, reining in his inner wrath, issued the frosty warning.
"Haha, think you can force my submission? Still lost in fantasies?"
Fager shot back with derision.
"Look around you!"
Otaine declared icily.
Fager whipped his head to survey the surroundings, as platforms lifted sequentially. Two V Generation Mechas, twelve Fake V Generation Mechas, plus endless mechas materialized throughout the arena.
Among those two V Generation Mechas, one reached fifty meters, sporting a falcon-like helm, forged wholly from lustrous dark gold alloy bearing unique motifs, its emblem bearing the Holy Army mark, razor-sharp claws wielding dual dark gold swords, four pairs of mechanical light wings on its back, and its shoulder adorned with one red sun, two black suns, fifteen red moons, twenty-one black moons, alongside myriad stars: the V Generation Pure Mechanical Mecha·Holy Light Blade (high-end version).
The second stood sixty meters, featuring a human-like metal visage with twin scarlet electronic optics, sheathed in deep crimson plating with an eerie glow, beastly talons clasping a scarlet metal broadsword, and four pairs of mechanical light wings on its back: the V Generation Pure Mechanical Mecha·Bloodthirsty Messenger (standard version).
Its operators were Jikol and Vice City Lord Medot, in turn.
"Think these puny additions will save you? Excellent, I’ll dispatch you all to Hell at once!"
Fager scoffed contemptuously.
"Very well, your stubborn refusal leaves no choice—die!"
Otaine directed the Lord of Lost to rush ahead.
"Hmph!"
Fager, commanding the Demon Hunter, surged forward in turn.
The mechas smashed together, unleashing a horrifying shockwave that raged outward.
In moments, the Demon Hunter dominated the Lord of Lost, compelling it to fall back repeatedly as its frame groaned loudly, obviously inferior in capabilities.
Seeing this unfold, Su Ming swiftly faced Novlin and the rest, exclaiming.
"Quick, get out of here—a huge battle’s erupting right now."
Novlin and her allies promptly shifted the control lever on the platform.
