Capítulo 1715: Chapter 543: Mutation (Part 3)
Right then, the surviving Black Death Society members cried out in pure horror.
“We give up!”
…
“Victory for the Holy Army!”
The female host yelled with wild excitement.
“War God!”
“War God!”
…
The crowd erupted in frenzied cheers.
Su Ming maneuvered the Gun Knight toward the pair and declared.
“Let’s go!”
“Alright!”
Novlin and the rest trailed after Su Ming as they departed.
The trio guided their mechas back to the prep area, popped open the cockpits, and drifted downward.
Mechanics rushed in immediately to handle the fixes.
The spectators kept their gazes locked on Su Ming, with hordes whistling and cheering like mad.
Just then, a stunning blonde beauty clutching a goblet of deep crimson wine approached Su Ming and said deferentially.
“Sir, Lord City Master sends this special brew as a gift!”
Su Ming felt a touch of surprise yet accepted the glass, lifting his gaze to the primary viewing stand.
There stood City Lord Otain, who rose and lifted his own glass toward Su Ming.
Su Ming responded with an airborne toast to City Lord Otain.
They both tossed back their drinks at once.
Witnessing this, Jikol grinned and remarked.
“Old Otain, that’s playing favorites—trying to steal my guy?”
“Nah, I simply enjoy sharing a toast with him!”
City Lord Otain shot back smilingly.
“A toast’s okay, but hands off my man!”
Jikol joked.
“Fine!”
Otain chuckled in response.
Right now, the female host proclaimed with fervor.
“Ladies and gentlemen, time to pick the next battling team!”
The icon began hopping about, soon halting once more—this time landing on Camton.
“Lord Camton!”
As Camton got chosen, eyes snapped back to him, fervent fans hollering with glee.
Camton then piloted his mecha onto the stage alongside his team.
The icon jumped anew, freezing to reveal City Lord Otain’s second son, Hovido.
Hovido swiftly directed his mecha onstage and sighed.
“Didn’t think I’d clash with big bro this early.”
“No big deal—we’d face off eventually.”
Camton grinned back.
“Okay then!”
Hovido shrugged casually.
As the pair geared up to clash, the arena floor trembled violently.
“What’s going on?”
Camton jolted in surprise.
Suddenly, the arena’s core cracked apart, a platform surging upward.
A colossal machine emerged—towering 100 meters, sporting a fiendish metallic skull with jet-black gemstone eyes, forged from shadowy rare alloys etched in complex designs, dual ebony blades at its hips, eight obsidian light wings sprouting from its back, radiating dread menace—the Fake VI Generation Mecha·Demon Hunter loomed before all.
The female host froze, words failing her.
The whole stadium exploded in chaos, gasps rippling everywhere.
“Wow! What mecha is that? It’s huge!”
“Heavens! It screams power!”
“Hold on, didn’t they say only Third Generation Mechas allowed?”
“Right!”
…
“What... what mecha is that?!”
Novlin and Hokas gaped in shock.
“That’s the Dark Star Empire’s Fake VI Generation Mecha·Demon Hunter!”
Su Ming identified it at once, his expression shifting abruptly.
Up on the main platform.
City Lord Otain’s visage darkened instantly.
Jikol and company leaped to their feet in disbelief, blurting out.
“Fake VI Generation Mecha!”
…
“Just who are you?!”
Camton demanded, face ashen.
“Guess who, dear brother?”
Fager boomed with laughter.
“Sixth brother!”
Camton paled green immediately.
Fager then seized Camton’s Slayer in Demon Hunter’s grasp.
“What’re you doing? Release me!”
Camton bellowed in fury and alarm.
“You punk, release him now!”
Otain thundered wrathfully.
“Release? As you wish!”
Fager smirked, then unleashed the mecha’s full might.
Crack!
Demon Hunter pulverized Slayer outright.
“Ah!”
A agonized wail tore through the arena.
Panic gripped the crowd instantly.
“Oh god, Lord Camton’s done for.”
…
Hovido spun and fled upon seeing it.
Fager flung the wrecked Slayer remnants down, smirking at Otain.
“Father, here’s your precious boy back.”
“You insolent fool, staging a revolt?”
Otain roared lividly.
“Can’t you tell?”
“Fine, fine, you’ve got guts!”
Otain fumed with bitter laughter.
“Father, you’re too obstinate, even ready to provoke the Dark Star Empire over those absurd rules. Lost City will crumble under your rule before long. Since you won’t yield, I’ll seize control and forge a new fate! Haha!”
Fager erupted into frenzied laughter.
“Then you’d better possess the strength for it.”
Otain snapped back in rage.
“I’ve lost my mind, blabbering on with you like this—time for all of you to perish!”
Fager directed the Demon Hunter to widen its jaws, charging up a devastating energy ray before unleashing it directly at the primary observation deck.
The dark ray shredded the arena’s protective shield, slamming into the main viewing platform.
Boom!
A colossal blast roared outward.
Su Ming instantly triggered his Symbiotic Armor to envelop his form, shielding Novlin as he threw himself flat.
The spectators closest to the main viewing platform were struck in a flash, wholly swallowed by the detonation.
