"Don’t worry about John," Gabriel said with a kind, almost gentle smile. "We’ll find him... and he doesn’t need to know about this, does he?"
"..." Lolth was breathing heavily. The two of them ended up... making out passionately.
Wow. So they had a secret relationship even back then.
Holy shit. Now it makes complete sense why she was so fascinated with him and trusted him so blindly later on.
She’s such a lonely, desperate girl. He’s clearly seducing her and... using her, only to discard her over and over again whenever it suited his plans.
The memories shifted after that intimate moment. They revealed a large group of people walking toward a massive Gate. All of them were wearing white, glowing pieces of advanced technology that covered their bodies from head to toe.
They carried... guns of some kind — highly advanced technological weapons, heavy cannons, and even devices that looked like laser guns.
There were about ten or eleven of them in total. Among the group I recognized a few familiar faces. A tall and gorgeous woman with long blonde hair and bright yellow eyes... was that the same goddess who had once blessed me?! Theia!
There were other figures among them as well, but I could not recognize most of them clearly.
Were they all future gods, still in their original human forms eons ago...? Incredible.
And of course, among them stood Gabriel and Lolth, both fully equipped for the mission. Lolth carried a dark purple scythe crafted from their advanced technology, along with several guns strapped around her waist.
Gabriel held a sheathed pair of laser swords, additional guns, and was accompanied by several small floating drones that hovered around him.
In front of the entire group stood a massive Gate that looked very similar to the dungeon gates of the present day. It glowed with a mysterious and ominous light.
Every one of them exuded a slightly different colored aura, and the glowing circuits on their equipment reflected those same unique colors.
"Alright, we’re ready," Gabriel announced. "Are you all prepared?" he asked the group. "Our mission, remember it carefully. We’re going to extract as many Dimensional Stones as possible and..." He glanced briefly at Lolth’s still-angered expression. "We’re also going to try to find any survivors. But our absolute priority is extracting the Dimensional Stones from the location I discovered earlier. Understand? This time I’ve assembled the strongest team I could put together without asking the government for help. You’re all here for the same goal — to get stronger, right? To... get the hell out of this place before everything goes to shit."

They did not say a single word in response. It seemed they felt ashamed of the situation, yet somehow they all knew there was no other real choice left to them.
Did not a single one of them ever think about staying behind and fighting back against the coming threat?
Just what... what kind of enemy were they facing that was so terrifying it made an entire group of powerful Awakened decide to abandon their world?
As they walked forward, a giant machine began moving behind them on powerful mechanical legs.
"This is the extractor," Gabriel explained. "I built it myself. This machine will take us safely to where we need to go. Board it now."
Everyone nodded and climbed inside. Theia spoke for the first time since the memory began.
"I’m a little nervous. Do you think this will actually work out?" she asked a tall, handsome man with short black hair who stood beside her.
"We don’t have any other choice," he answered quietly. "It’s either this or we die once those things reach the last remaining city... Gabriel is our greatest genius. He can build almost anything. We should trust him."
"You guys really place a lot of blind trust in this man," she sighed, shaking her long blonde hair in a way that made her look like a total airhead with almost no independent thoughts of her own. Yet she was still trusting him completely and joining this dangerous, nearly suicidal mission anyway.
Yeah. That checks out perfectly. That’s exactly the Theia I know in the present. It seems some of these future gods have not changed very much since their human days.
Theia also had that same overly optimistic grin, and she blindly believed I was destined to become her personal hero... She had probably said the exact same things to countless other people before me.
Though she is a Chief Goddess now, and Gabriel was eventually exiled and became an Evil God... something truly enormous must have happened between them in the years that followed.
"John..." Lolth muttered under her breath, sighing as she looked out through the machine’s window. The giant vehicle started moving forward on its massive mechanical legs.
As the machine passed through the Otherworldly Gate, the world around them warped and twisted. A completely new reality was revealed on the other side.
It was a warped and nightmarish landscape — something not even I had ever witnessed before in any of my own experiences.
The sky was a deep, blood-red color. Giant eyeballs floated high above, constantly blinking as they watched everything that moved below.
Massive spires of jagged red stone rose endlessly toward the heavens. Rivers of boiling acid, lava, and magma exploded and erupted from titanic volcanoes that stretched across the horizon.
The ground itself was made of arid, cracked stone. The "plants" that grew there were strange, fleshy growths that formed weird geometric patterns and produced crystalized flowers of impossible colors.
From a vast sea of purple slime, a giant whale-like creature with deep red skin suddenly emerged. Lava flowed through the cracks covering its body, and massive horns crowned its head. It possessed two enormous human-like arms that it used to swim before diving back beneath the surface.
As the machine continued moving through this bizarre and alien world, the group spotted giant flying creatures — massive eyes with six wings and tiny dangling legs — that immediately began firing laser beams at them.
"They’re attacking!" Lolth panicked. "Should we fight back?!"
