The bosses from the underground tower floors have emerged, led by the Divine Sentinel Zerathiel. Arafunn and Ninhursag attempt to hold them back while survivors are evacuated, but they are quickly overwhelmed. Just as the situation seems hopeless, Allan, Faylen, and Shade arrive and join the fight.

Monsters tore through Evercraft with unrelenting fury. The King and the royal family, along with the nobles, began a swift evacuation after raising the barrier around the castle. Meanwhile, unseen heroes continued guiding survivors who raced toward the castle as fast as their legs could carry them.

An underground emergency cave had opened, and civilians poured through it, fleeing toward special airships waiting on the far side of the mountain. They desperately sought to escape the overwhelming catastrophe that had caught everyone completely off guard.

The monsters, however, attacked the barrier with relentless savagery. Two young guardians—warriors who had arrived from distant lands—stood firm against them. They battled hundreds, thousands, even tens of thousands of monsters without pause.

They were not growing tired. On the contrary, the endless slaughter granted them massive amounts of Experience. Their Levels and Skill levels rose steadily as they fought. Yet it still wasn’t enough to turn the tide against such overwhelming numbers—especially with dozens of powerful boss monsters among them. Nonetheless, the large quantities of experience granted a sizable amount of levels, and fighting like this also increased their skill proficiency rather fast, allowing them to keep up even as they still continued growing tired.

In the southern district, two other heroes faced an even grimmer situation. The civilians there were too far from the castle to reach it safely, so they rushed instead toward an underground evacuation center created by the Hero of Winds. Wave after wave of bosses surged from the dungeons, and their numbers only continued to grow.

Another group of ten mutated boss monsters, now surpassing Tier 10, burst from the underground tower dungeon. They roared with fury, spreading their domains and coordinating their assault against the two unseen heroes, pushing them dangerously close to their limits.

It was an utterly ridiculous, nightmarish scene.

Zack and Luck had never imagined things would turn out this way. The disaster exposed the fatal weakness of overreliance on dungeons—especially economic reliance. At the end of the day, these dungeons had been forged by an evil god. Today, the people of Evercraft, who had built their prosperity on them, learned the brutal truth: they had only ever been cattle to that malevolent deity.

"Damn it, this is ridiculous!" Luck roared. He fused with two divine spirit beasts, taking on the white-gold tiger’s mighty form and the vermillion frost phoenix’s fire, ice, and wings. Wielding his ancient relic weapons—a pair of potent golden claws that grew larger as they absorbed his power and drained his enemies’ mana—he unleashed devastating attacks.

Spiders, wendigos, titans, ogres, cyclopes, golems, slimes, wyverns, drakes, manticores, chimeras, and countless other monstrous creatures—mutated, dark, and purple-hued, covered in growths of miasmic and cursed crystals—charged relentlessly. His giant spirit claws mowed them down by the dozens, then by the hundreds.

"For how long must we fight?!" Zack screamed. He spun through the air with his twin axes, unleashing a devastating tornado. His beast aura, evolved even further, manifested as a titanic bear larger than any other monster. It smashed and tore through their ranks with claws crackling with thunder. "When are the reinforcements coming?! Where are the heroes?! Where’s Sylphy and everyone else?! Damn it...! At this rate, we’ll be forced to retreat! Evercraft... Evercraft is done for...!"

Even with all the strength they had gained during their training, this threat lay far beyond their power. They couldn’t simply rush into the dungeon and destroy its core—the path was blocked by dozens of incredibly powerful mutated boss monsters that had grown disturbingly intelligent and were now working together.

"Another one’s coming!" Luck screamed.

"Ah!" Zack’s eyes widened as a gigantic fifty-meter Thunder Wyvern Lord descended from the skies, accompanied by four other Tier 10 bosses—a Flame Cyclops King, the Revenant Emperor, and the Golem Maker—some of them reaching Tier 11.

Whatever wicked power had granted them these abilities, the boss monsters had gained immense strength and terrifying intelligence. With their ever-growing numbers, it was clear that the balance of the entire world was about to shift once this "curse" spread.

Humanity, demons, elves—every race would fall before the endless tide of intelligent monsters. With intelligence, power, authority, and magic, these creatures would prove vastly superior to anything that had come before.

They would forge the greatest empires the world had ever seen and overwhelm humanity without end. Perhaps not even the gods would be able to stop them.

This was the plan he had devised—a terrifying scheme that, even in its early stages, could not be allowed to continue.

"This will lead to the end of the world if we don’t do something!" Zack realized with dawning horror. "A curse that spreads through the air, mutating monsters into stronger, intelligent beings... even killing humans or twisting them into mad aberrations...! It’s the end...! We cannot let this happen. We cannot let it spread, Luck!"

Luck roared, his voice shaking with fury.

Both friends charged forward together, clashing against the four almighty bosses. Explosions of wind and thunder erupted across the battlefield. Flames and ice surged wildly as claws tore through scales, stone, and flesh. The bosses fought with desperate ferocity, cooperating, healing one another, raising barriers, and striking from afar while their tanks held the line.

They were truly formidable, forcing even Zack and Luck—who had been conserving their strength—to unleash everything they had.

"We won’t let you end humanity!" They roared in unison.

"It’s time. Fuck this!" Zack roared.

He summoned his secret weapons: six golden and emerald drums forged from Windsteel and Thunder Mithril, embedded with the highest-quality Wind and Thunder Spirit Stones, and bonded to his very soul as Soul Treasures.

Indeed, in addition to his two trusty axes—the Thunderstorm Axe and the Bone Beast Axe—Zack’s true secret weapons were these drums, overflowing with the power of the skies: wind, thunder, and...

Sound.
