With a decisive confirmation, Naturia’s transformation commenced. The piled-up materials began to levitate around her, gradually being assimilated into her spiritual essence.
The skill scroll presented was one I had painstakingly assembled from fragments, a 'Random Spirit Skill Scroll.' While the potential for a novel acquisition was tempting, my curiosity was piqued to observe its effect on a familiar absorbing it.
Naturia emitted a cry, not of distress, but of sheer wonder, as the hoard of resources poured into her. Hundreds of spirit orbs and soul orbs vanished, followed by the offerings from her mother and the remaining equipment pieces.
Lastly, the skill scroll. A brief resistance seemed to occur before...
The scroll radiated an ethereal glow, merging completely with her being.
A tremor shook the ground beneath us. Astonishingly, a forest sprang forth, not of fire, but of vibrant life and verdant growth. Life force and spiritual energy permeated the area, spawning a cascade of spirits.
At the epicenter stood Naturia, as an immense tree erupted from the earth, scaling ever higher.
"A tree?!"
I had witnessed Naturia's gradual growth, from a minuscule seed to a sapling, then expanding in size and strength until she embodied a dryad-like spirit. Already a Divine Spirit and a Dryad possessing formidable abilities, she had reached new heights.
Prior to Yggdra's arrival, Naturia had been my primary ally in mastering Nature element spells. However, following her mother's integration into our ranks, I had to concede, with a touch of melancholy, that her relevance in spellcasting support had diminished.
As my own power surged, my familiars largely transitioned into mere conduits for absorbed power. Though the reality felt stark, acknowledging their utility was crucial for ensuring their continued effectiveness in future conflicts.
This realization propelled my decision to elevate Naturia beyond a simple nature spirit, aiming for a profound self-redefinition.
And as a consequence of this endeavor...
The tree expanded to approximately one-third the stature of her mother before its growth ceased. Then, it slowly dissolved into shimmering motes of light.
Indeed, she did not mirror her mother by remaining a tree. Despite being birthed from Yggdra, Naturia had never fundamentally been a tree. Yggdra's essence was intrinsically plant-based, with spirituality as a secondary aspect; Naturia, conversely, was a spirit above all else.
Her spiritual nature rendered her power exceptionally adaptable. This very malleability was the reason for my choice to guide her transformation into something distinctive. While much of this process lay beyond my direct influence, I harbored a strong intuition that it would bestow upon her a unique and distinguishing quality.
And now...
A column of emerald and gold light ascended as Naturia's new form materialized. She radiated a divine aura, albeit less potent than her mother's, yet nearly on par with Scarlet and Sapphire, perhaps only half a rank below their might.
I understood the improbability of instantly elevating every familiar to godhood, but this outcome... this was more than sufficient.
Nay, it was magnificent!
"Hehe, I believe I've evolved into something truly remarkable!" she declared with a giggle.
Her endearing features persisted, though her apparent age had advanced from that of a five-year-old to approximately ten. Her hair had transformed to a golden hue, and she was adorned in a exquisite gown woven from pink blossoms. Golden and pink fairy wings sprouted from her back, and her previously bright eyes now gleamed with striking pink and gold iridescence. A pair of delicate, antler-like horns fashioned from wooden branches crowned her head, elegantly embellished with cherry blossoms.
"Oh my goodness! My precious child has finally blossomed!" Yggdra exclaimed joyously. "Behold her radiance! She is no longer a tender sapling; she has fully bloomed! She is officially an adult amongst the spirits of nature."
"Adult?!" I echoed, surprised. "Well, she still strikes me as an adorable little girl..."
"Hmph! Master, I am grown now!" Naturia retorted with a pout, which only enhanced her cuteness. "Is my hair color acceptable? I was apprehensive about becoming unrecognizable..."
"No, it's perfect!" I assured her. "But that power... you've attained Divinity, haven't you?"
"Heheh, it's more than just that!" she chirped, her aura flaring with brilliance. "I CAN DO THIS!"
She exhaled a breath towards me, merging seamlessly into my form. Wooden branches and pink flowers cascaded over me, morphing into a lustrous pale pink metal adorned with intricate golden floral patterns and delicate pink jewels.
"Woah?!"
"Ta-da! I can transform into your very own personalized Spirit Armor! Am I not magnificent?"
"T-This is absolutely incredible!"
Now, the daunting task of nurturing a Living Armor like Scarlet and Sapphire from inception was circumvented. Naturia had become my armor!
Or perhaps...
"Apologies! I can only encompass your torso for the moment, but I can also craft a splendid helmet!"
The armor, fitting snugly around my body, materialized a helmet atop my head as well. It allowed my hair freedom while ensuring a comfortable fit.
The armor was a magnificent sight, shimmering with both spiritual and divine energy.
"It's sufficient for the current moment, Naturia. Thank you," I expressed. "And when I'm outfitted in this manner, my strength surges! It's akin to wielding Scarlet or Sapphire."
This effect transcended the typical stat-sharing phenomenon between a master and their familiar; it was a direct infusion of one hundred percent of Naturia's attributes onto my own being.
The sensation was truly astounding!
I could perceive my Spiritual Energy reservoir expanding to at least three times its former capacity. My Spirit Spells manifested with heightened potency, and my innate connection to the Nature Element had been profoundly amplified.
An intriguing observation was that upon equipping Naturia as armor, my magic circle suddenly erupted with a multitude of what felt like a hundred thousand nature-attribute runes. It became so saturated with the essence of nature that, with but a thought, I could conjure an entire forest instantaneously.
And this was merely scratching the surface; there was undeniably much more to explore.
"This is incredible!" Alice exclaimed with visible awe.
"Indeed, she has truly evolved into something extraordinary," Yggdra commented, her voice resonating with satisfaction.
"She radiates such immense spirit energy... Hmm, now I find myself feeling envious," Ignatius grumbled, circling us with his flight. "When will it be my turn?!"
"Ugh, soon! Calm down, little one," I replied soothingly.
"Who are you calling 'little one'? I am a magnificent dragon!" he retorted, nearly snapping at my head in protest.
"In any case, this is Naturia's moment to shine, so do not disturb her," I stated, gently nudging him aside as he raged and unleashed fiery breaths. "Naturia, what else do you sense you are capable of?"
