Agony-filled groans escaped the boss as three enormous holes ripped through its body. It hit me fast that my Living Weapons were way more reliable than I'd ever dreamed.
"You've already battled two bosses, Master, so let the girls take this one," Yggdra urged, softly stroking my head.
"Yeah, check them out—they're amazing, right?" Alice chimed in.
"T-They really are... damn..." I breathed out in shock.
Armageddon and Nephilim proved to be total beasts, battling side by side with Scarlet and Sapphire. They made a killer team of their own, while the others handled the lesser monsters to stop any interference.
But shouldn't this boss have been ridiculously powerful? What Tier was this thing?
[Glacial King of the Frozen Kingdom – Curse Of Miasma Corruption Form (Tier 9: Rank 5)]
"T-Tier 9, Rank 5! No way—they can't deal with this by themselves!" I shouted, jumping ahead. "Alice, Yggdra, follow me— Huh?"
Before I could get close, the King crumpled to its knees. Black miasma blood gushed from its mouth, and numerous deep gashes wrecked its armor.
Pale blue skin showed underneath—a sturdy build that Scarlet was now slicing apart non-stop as she zipped around it.
"Hahahaha! Behold the might of the Sword Goddess!"
The boss couldn't tag her at all—she moved way too quick. It called forth a mighty Spiritual Domain just like the Dryad's, yet Sapphire barreled forward, switching to humanoid shape and smashing her whole form into the colossus.
Her extreme density and weight made her a living cannonball, punching right through the giant's chest and shredding chunks of its huge core.
The titan crashed down. Its pair of magic swords floated up and attacked independently.
Then...
Armageddon and Nephilim rocketed upward—crimson and golden-purple streaks—slamming into the tainted, spectral blades. They pinned them down, flung them to the ground, and smashed them to bits.
As the King wailed, endless frozen curses burst from its jaws—only for Scarlet to ignite with rage and Sapphire to surge with deep azure darkness.
They both lunged together. Sapphire soaked up the curses as Scarlet hit with everything. Then Sapphire fired back the taken damage in a horrifying mega-cannon blast!
Without even hitting a second phase, the Dungeon Boss... vanished.
Sword Goddess and Shield Goddess shifted back to humanoid forms. Perched on the giant king's helmet, they beamed proud grins my way.
"We nailed it, Master!"
"All for you!"
They partied hard, thumbs up and air kisses from across the room.
"A-Ah... yeah..." I stammered, brows jumping in astonishment. "What sort of beasts did I even make?"
As they came closer, I saw the boss wasn't totally done yet!
A spectral phantom exploded from the beast's wrecked corpse—part miasma, part icy tempest—with scores of arms and cursed ice blades.
[The Glacial Cavern Dungeon Final Boss: [Glacial King of the Frozen Kingdom – Curse Of Miasma Corruption Form (Tier 9: Rank 5)] has activated its final ability {Cursed Miasmic Frost Rebirth}, transforming into a [Cursed Frost Specter King (Tier 9: Rank 6)]. All Stats have increased by an additional 300%!]
"You're joking, right?!" I yelped, instantly crafting swords via Holy Divine Thunder Armament Creation and targeting the looming giant.
However...
Suddenly, a huge titan burst from Sapphire's magic—a manifestation of her upgraded powers.
An enormous golem like a armored bulky humanoid, its helmet head hollow save for blazing red eyes.
Six massive metallic, cursed, ghostly arms sprouted from it. It hammered the ghost king repeatedly, punching voids through its essence.
This violet-tinted golem marked the fresh evolution of Sapphire's longtime summon. She'd started as my Coral Golem Shield from a dungeon.
Across her evolutions, the golem changed with her—from a basic, kinda feeble summon to something epic.
I'd rarely deployed it earlier since it lagged and paled against her strength.
Now it was a whole new beast. Matching her stats and divinity, it had become a true Divine Guardian.
A quick status peek showed the skill updated to...
[Abyssal Mithril Golem Guardian: Lv10] → [Abyssal Cursed Divine Orichalcum Golem Titan Guardian: Erebus: Lv1]
From a basic dark mithril golem—pretty underwhelming—it evolved into an Abyssal Cursed Divine Orichalcum Golem Titan Guardian.
Plus, it got a name: Erebus!
It exuded huge cursed and divine energy fused together. Towering over a hundred meters—bigger than the specter king—it felt almost unbeatable. It battered the foe with blazing, cursed punches.
The boss resisted wildly, but Erebus unleashed a Sea of Abyssal Shadows from itself—shaping into tons of fists, tentacles, chains, and curses.
Overwhelmed by the brutal barrage, the dungeon boss's second phase fell. Erebus smashed a fist into its Soul Core, exploding and ripping the soul apart.
With a tormented, shrieking wail of doom, the spectral king got wiped from reality. Its soul broke into shards like crystallized glass.
And so, this dungeon's ultimate boss got crushed... by my absurdly OP Divine Weapons and Sapphire's "boy"—her cherished golem summon Erebus, risen from a lowly Coral Golem to his current glory.
"Great job, Erebus!" Sapphire cheered, zipping to him and hopping on his shoulder. She tapped his giant helmet head.
Erebus bellowed. "Did... I... do good... mother?"
"You sure did, sweetie! Haha! Thrilled you can speak now!" Sapphire laughed, planting a kiss on his massive helmet noggin.
"Hehe..." Erebus boomed loudly but behaved like a bashful kid—squirming cutely at the acclaim. "Mama... praised... me..."
I headed over as the crew reveled in triumph. Hundreds of shining loot items lay ready for pickup.
The boss dropped a massive stack of Boss Soul Orbs and Spirit Orbs, plus a big treasure chest packed with fresh gear.
"Outstanding work, team!" I grinned broadly and sincerely. "You smashed it today! That was badass! For real—amazing job, everyone!"
"Haha, told ya, Master? We're powerhouse strong now!" Sapphire smirked smugly.
"Puny bosses like this? Easy pickings," Scarlet agreed with a nod. "So next time, kick back. We'll handle it all."
"W-What?! No way I'd slack off completely! I'll let you lead sometimes, but I gotta fight too—how else do I level up? You power up with me, so we'd all stall if I sat out," I shrugged. "Still... epic stuff! You two rock. Never figured you'd drop the final boss that quick... and Erebus? You're nuts strong! Talking now too!"
