Reincarnated With A Glitched System: Why Is My MP Not Running Out? Chapter 1977: New Special Items

"W-Wait, you cannot consume them all! You have managed perfectly fine without souls until now!" I exclaimed, attempting to impede Red as he approached with his multiple manifestations.
"Ease your mind, Sylphy, everything is alright," Alice interjected. "There is no need for concern. These Soul Orbs will not cause them to develop into grotesque forms. They are incomplete, or at the very least, not fully formed souls."
"A-Are you certain? Very well, you may have a few," I conceded, handing two Soul Orbs to Red. His primary form ingested them, while his additional bodies clicked their jaws in agitation, as if they too had experienced the flavor.
A vibrant aura of soul essence subsequently enveloped Red, and he appeared remarkably joyous. He began bounding about with wild abandon. In truth, I could not suppress a chuckle—he was, without a doubt, the most adorable true demon in existence.
With seven remaining, I pondered whether to consume them myself or preserve them. "Do you think I should absorb these, or... could they perhaps serve another function?"
Alice scrutinized the Soul Orbs for a few heartbeats before answering. "I am reasonably certain they are also crafting materials. You will need to find a balance between hoarding and consuming. However, truthfully, you should absorb these immediately. Boss Soul Orbs carry far more worth; do not squander them on anything but your own advancement. Your soul and physical vessel must take precedence."
"Do you truly believe so? Alright then," I nodded, promptly commencing the absorption of the Soul Orbs, one after the next. "Ooh! Ahh! Woah!" A torrent of pulsating energy flowed through my physique and core with every absorption, causing my soul to expand and flourish outward. "T-This is incredible! It feels absolutely divine."
Upon finishing the last of the Soul Orbs, I felt my soul surge with such intensity that its aura manifested around me for a brief instant before I drew the residual energy back in. "Well, that was pleasant! Now... Oh, wait!"
That was when the breakthrough occurred.
The Psyche dwelling within my soul gained significant potency, brimming with elemental and soul energy. I felt invigorated, and my soul now appeared capable of enduring greater pressure, which meant I could maintain a constant influx of Mana.

[Your Soul Vitality, Strength, Fortitude, Endurance, and Regeneration have increased significantly.]
"Excellent! Not bad at all. We are gaining power with every step!" I declared happily. "Now, for the matter at hand... this massive treasure chest I retrieved... what exactly is inside?"
I retrieved the chest from my inventory and touched it tentatively after a moment of consideration. The container shuddered and parted, revealing its contents.
[You have opened the [Boss Monster Treasure Chest (S Grade)]!]
[You have received the following items]:
[Frozen Forest Spiritual Heart Crystal (S Grade)]
[Permafrost Forest Ruler’s Spirit Armor (S Grade)]
[Shapeshifting Cursed Spirit Frost Weapon (A Grade)]
[Lesser Soul Orbs (C Grade)] x10
[Spirit Orbs (C Grade)] x10
"This is quite intriguing..." I remarked, examining the haul. "More Soul Orbs, though these are no larger than grapes. And Spirit Orbs? I assume they serve a similar purpose for Spiritual Energy. But what of these other pieces?"
I touched the armor, finding it composed of potent spiritual energy. Upon contact, I felt a spiritual resonance, and it disintegrated into dozens of segments that encased my body.
"Oh!"
I was startled to find myself suddenly clad in a form-fitting, elegant suit of frost armor adorned with intricate rose and vine motifs. "It is magnificent! It radiates the spiritual power of the Dryad Boss."
"It is, indeed, a masterwork of armor," Alice agreed. "Do you intend to keep it?"
"I am undecided. I possess my own armor, though this appears to fit over it," I noted. "Perhaps it would improve my defensive capabilities, considering how much damage that Dryad dealt to me."
"Hah! Ice armor?! It is fundamentally incompatible with you! It would be better suited for Aquarina. She would resonate with it significantly better than you," Armageddon scoffed. "Your very internal heat will destroy it. You possess flames that clash with this material—spiritual or not, it will eventually fracture."
"You have a point, that would be wasteful..." I sighed. "And it is quite cold. This icy energy is the antithesis of my fire... I suppose it is not mine to keep. I will reserve this for Aquarina."
I unequipped the armor and stored it. Next, I inspected the weapon. It appeared to be a solitary, frozen rose attached to a long, thorny stem. "How curious. It is capable of shifting form? Let us investigate..."
By channeling Mana and Spiritual Energy into it, the rose expanded, sprouting vines, barbs, and blossoms until it solidified into a long-bladed sword crafted from corrupted purple ice.
"A sword! Wait, since it is a shapeshifting weapon..."
I experimented, transforming it into an axe, a hammer, a spear, and a dagger. The versatility left me impressed. As a Spirit Weapon, it possessed respectable strength... perhaps it could serve as a growth catalyst for Scarlet? I had not considered it, just as the armor might be perfect for Sapphire.
"It is impressive, but Scarlet is superior, and it risks shattering under heavy strain," I reasoned. "Scarlet, what are your thoughts on using this as material for your evolution?"
"That sounds acceptable. It is a potent armament," she answered. "But I also desire that..." She gestured toward the watermelon-sized spiritual heart, which shimmered in shades of azure, blue, and purple. "I believe it would accelerate my growth!"
"The Spiritual Heart..." I pondered. "Did the corpse drop another?"
"No, the entity was completely annihilated," Alice clarified. "Only fragments of the boss remain—nothing of any real utility."
"So there is only one available," I noted.
"Scarlet, your nature is already fire-based. Why not surrender that heart to me instead?!" Sapphire countered. "You always claim the finest materials!"
"Hah! I am the weapon of choice! I perform the labor! You merely endure blows while I fight alongside Sylphy!" Scarlet retorted. "Naturally, the best materials belong to me!"
"You are insufferably greedy!" Sapphire exclaimed. "I shall best you!"
"Come then, try me!" Scarlet roared.
The two, sword and shield, began sparring in mid-air. The shield blocked while the blade struck... truly, I had become quite accustomed to these two competing for my favor.
Turning my gaze away, I focused on the Spiritual Heart, touching it to feel its core. "Wait, what is this?"
I sensed that I could absorb it, much like the Spirit or Soul Orbs. This Spiritual Heart could be subsumed, likely merging with my existing one.
"Is that even a wise decision? Evolving my weapons remains a top priority," I mused, stroking my chin. "These materials are exceedingly rare, while I can simply continue to cultivate my own spiritual heart by consuming a large quantity of Spirit Orbs."
After careful deliberation, I decided to reserve it for Scarlet or Sapphire later. For now, I chose to feed the shapeshifting weapon to Scarlet and provide the spirit armor to Sapphire. It would be fascinating if they inherited the traits of these artifacts, though I would keep my expectations low.
"Very well, what remains? Ah, yes... this one."
I turned my attention to the fiery, crimson spirit standing nearby—Strength—who was currently entertaining Furoh and Ignatius.
