Song Wen, under the alias Ji Yin, gathered information on Fan Kang and Tang Qing, who were robbed by Xuan Gu. He then spent fourteen years cultivating, enhancing his shadow void and refining numerous puppets. After receiving rewards and items from Wang Qiuyue, Song Wen boarded a Giant Flying Ship with Wang Qiuyue and others, including a resentful Fan Kang, to set sail for the Western Rong Continent. They met with representatives from the Myriad Swords Pavilion and the Profound Sky Sect at Thousand Blades City, preparing for the expedition.
