Han Chaoyang asks Xinyan for help regarding a relationship his family disapproves of. Xinyan advises him to be open with his parents, while also reflecting on past family disputes. Later, Xinyan attends a celebration for her nephew Han Feifan and discusses family planning with Aunt Su Aihong, unaware He Jinxuan is listening. Suddenly, Han Chunxue receives shocking news over the phone.

Through the phone, Yuan Yikai’s voice was laced with urgency: "Mom, Zhenling is in the hospital right now, please come quickly."

Han Chunxue, also caught off guard, exclaimed: "What happened? How did she end up in the hospital?"

Yuan Yikai, too hurried to elaborate, said: "Mom, we can discuss it when you arrive. I’ve seen my cousin’s senior sister and I’m heading over there now."

Without allowing Han Chunxue another question, the call abruptly ended.

Overwhelmed with anxiety, Han Chunxue could barely stand. Putting down the phone, she urged: "Second Brother, quickly, take me there! Zhenling is about to give birth; she's already at the hospital."

Recognizing the gravity of the situation, everyone sprang into action.

Old Madam Gu promptly instructed the kitchen: "Prepare the chicken soup we just finished stewing. It might be needed for Zhenling."

Considering the time, the young woman likely hadn't eaten lunch yet. Han Chunxue graciously accepted: "Auntie, thank you for your thoughtfulness."

With the exception of the young Han Chaojun, who was left with the Gu family elders, the rest hurried to the hospital.

Upon arriving at the hospital, Xinyan immediately sought out Shen Guqing: "Senior Sister, where is my cousin now?"

Shen Guqing, seeing her junior sister’s arrival, replied: "She’s in room 206. I just finished examining her; her condition is quite stable."

Xinyan inquired with concern: "Her due date is still a few days away; why did she go into labor early?"

Shen Guqing explained: "Apparently, she was accidentally bumped by a child playing in the courtyard."

Hearing this, Xinyan’s expression shifted dramatically: "Senior Sister, I’m going to see her right away."

She then turned and hurried out.

Shen Guqing wished to say more, but Xinyan was already gone.

Xinyan quickly led her family: "Let’s go, she’s in room 206."

The hospital room was a triple-occupancy ward, with Sun Zhenling resting on the innermost bed.

Han Chunxue anxiously asked: "How did she end up admitted so early?"

Yuan Yikai's face was etched with worry: "It was close to her due date, and Lingzi felt she should be more active. However, a child from the family that recently moved into the compound accidentally ran right into her stomach.

Had a neighbor not noticed something was wrong and helped Zhenling, I dread to think what the consequences might have been."

Xinyan approached to check her cousin’s pulse, reassuringly saying: "Don't be alarmed. You were agitated, and this impact likely triggered the early labor."

Gu Wanqing offered a thermos: "Lingzi, we brought chicken soup from home for you. Have some to start."

At this moment, the pregnant woman occupying the middle bed displayed irritation: "All of you crowding in here, it’s so noisy I can barely stand it."

The man accompanying her gently tugged her sleeve: "Xiao He, don’t make a fuss."

"I’m not wrong! This room isn’t large to begin with, and with so many people suddenly barge in, I feel like I can barely breathe."

Although everyone understood the woman was being deliberately difficult, they also acknowledged that such a large group entering at once might be considered inappropriate. Su Aihong called out: "Chunxue and Xinyan, you two stay. The rest of you, find somewhere to eat."

Xinyan also realized her cousin couldn't be taken to the delivery room immediately: "Aunt is right. You should all go eat first."

Han Jingchen looked towards the other two families in the ward: "Listen to Eldest Sister-in-law."

He then turned to his niece: "Lingzi, with your cousin here, don’t you worry. We’ll be back after eating. We’ll stay with you. Just tell me what you’d like to eat, and Second Uncle will have your third cousin bring it over."

While sipping the chicken soup, Sun Zhenling requested: "Second Uncle, I really feel like eating Guobaorou."

Han Jingchen chuckled: "Certainly. Your third cousin will have it brought up to you shortly."

Once the group had vacated the hospital room, the woman in the middle bed resumed her complaints: "Showing off, as if no one else can afford such things."

Xinyan walked directly towards her: "I tolerated your earlier remarks because they did disrupt her rest. But if you continue to whine now, you’re actively seeking a confrontation. I can’t hit you, but I can certainly deal with your family. Do you want to take that chance?"

The woman, taken aback by Xinyan's directness, stammered: "What do you intend to do?"

Xinyan clenched her fist, making it audibly pop: "Nothing much. My temper is quite bad, so don't test my patience."

The woman glared at Xinyan: "Are you threatening to hit someone?"

Xinyan smiled thinly: "Of course, I wouldn't hit you. But I might just hit your man. Now, don't let me hear you utter another unnecessary word."

As if to ensure her words carried weight, Xinyan picked up the enamel cup from her nightstand, left five clear fingerprints on it, and then considerately handed it to the man at the bedside.

Observing the sudden change in their expressions, she turned back to Sun Zhenling’s side.
