Javier confronts Gioni, severing his hand. Gioni, enraged and hungry, regenerates his limb and attacks. Javier reveals Gioni is a mere fragment of a larger being, and that he is furious Gioni targeted someone dear to him.

His leg shot up in a blur, his boot connecting squarely with Gioni’s chin. The impact sent the massive creature hurtling backward, his body flipping through the air before crashing into the ground, carving a deep trench in the earth.

Before Gioni could recover, Javier raised his palm. A blinding white flare erupted from his hand, engulfing Gioni’s body in searing holy fire. Gioni screamed, his voice cracking with agony as the flames ate into his flesh, his body writhing and convulsing.

"I’m not going to play with you, creepy guy. And I’m not in the mood for games."

Javier’s voice was cold, devoid of emotion. He vanished and reappeared beside Gioni in an instant, his kick sending the burning creature hurtling into the sky. He appeared above him, driving his heel down into Gioni’s chest, slamming him back into the ground with a deafening crash.

He appeared again, kicking Gioni upward, then again, and again, each strike accompanied by another burst of white flame. The sky lit up with the brutal, one-sided assault, Gioni’s screams echoing across the plain.

Javier paused mid-air, his eyes cold and unreadable as he looked down at the burning, broken creature plummeting toward the earth.

"You went after my beautiful elf. My first love. The one who means everything to me."

His voice dropped, low and dangerous, his eyes glowing with cold fury as he descended, following the falling body.

"So I’m going to make sure you feel real pain. The kind of pain that makes you beg for death. The kind that makes you realize how small and insignificant you are. The kind that breaks you apart piece by piece until there’s nothing left but ash and regret."

Gioni slammed into the ground with a deafening crash, the impact carving a massive crater into the earth. White flames continued to burn across his broken, twitching form, his regeneration struggling to keep up with the sheer volume of damage.

Javier landed softly at the edge of the crater, his aura still flaring, his eyes fixed on the writhing, burning figure below.

"Hey~ wake up~ You said you were going to eat. You’re hungry, right? Hmm?"

Javier smirked, raising his palm toward the burning Gioni, who writhed and screamed in agony, his flesh sizzling and bubbling under the relentless white flames. His voice was cold.

"The punishment for even trying to target my girl... is real pain before death. Don’t think I’m going to stop with just a few attacks. There’s more coming for you. Much more."

Just as he was about to launch another wave of searing light, a voice called out from the distance.

"Master."

Javier paused, turning his gaze toward the source. A figure walked toward him, graceful and elegant, wearing a beautiful elven dress that flowed with each step. Her silver hair shimmered in the fading light, her emerald eyes soft and warm.

"Don’t kill him, Master." She smiled gently, her voice calm and soothing. "Lady Fransesca gave the order. We should capture him alive."

Javier’s cold expression softened into a smile. He lowered his hand slightly and turned to face her fully.

"Okay."

He watched her approach, his posture relaxed, his hands at his sides. She moved closer, her steps light and unhurried, her smile never faltering.

But just as she was about to step within arm’s reach, a magic circle flared to life beneath her feet, glowing with a brilliant, binding light. Her eyes widened in panic as she leaped back, barely escaping the trap.

"M-Master!? Why are you attacking me!?" Her voice cracked with confusion and fear. "Did you forget about me? It’s me, Liana! Your first love! Why would you..."

Javier tilted his head, his smile never fading, but his eyes grew cold and sharp.

"Liana would never wear a dress like that to a battlefield," he said quietly, his voice dropping into something dangerous. "And she would never call me ’Master.’ She knows everything about me, what I like and what I hate. And she would never appear on a battlefield when I told her to stay away."

He glanced at her up and down before raising his palm toward her, his aura flaring around his hand.

"So, bitch. Mind telling me who you are?"

He smirked again, his eyes narrowing with recognition.

"Ah, there’s no need to. Since I’m sure you’re with this creepy guy who keeps going on about being hungry. And you have the ability to copy someone almost perfectly. Their face, their voice, their mannerisms... You’re Envy. And this guy is Gluttony, right? And the other two Marcellus and Cedric encountered, according to them, calm, relaxed, lazy... that’s Sloth. And the rage girl is Wrath?"

Javier let out a low whistle, his smirk widening.

"I can’t believe I’m meeting something that’s always mentioned in every story from my old world! Oo~ So exciting~"

His eyes turned cold, his voice dropping into a dangerous whisper.

"You want to join the fun and end up dead, like this creepy bastard too?"

The girl clicked her tongue, her face twisting with irritation as she hissed. She threw a thick, dark rope that wrapped around Gioni’s massive body, pulling him toward her before casting a dark water skill over him, the murky liquid sizzling as it slowly smothered the white flames.

Javier chuckled softly, his eyes cold and amused.

"Unlike Marcellus, who’s too lazy to launch a powerful white flame despite being the strongest wizard with a magic talent none of us have... I don’t play when it comes to punishing a bastard who tried to aim at my beautiful Liana. And that includes you, who tried to impersonate her."

He raised his hand, and a dozen radiant light spears materialized in the air around him, each one gleaming with divine radiance, their tips crackling with holy energy. With a flick of his wrist, they shot forward, streaking toward the girl like comets of pure light.

The girl’s eyes widened. She leaped, twisting mid-air to evade the first wave, but the spears curved, chasing her trajectory. She landed, rolled, and sprang up again, barely avoiding the relentless pursuit.

Javier tilted his head, a cold smirk on his lips.

"How does it taste? Hmm? Keep running, bitch. Because once one of those hits you... you’re going to feel every ounce of pain I was saving for that creepy bastard."
