Reborn As Noble Chapter 1461: The World is Not a Playground ( 1461 )

"What about me! I’m your little sister!" Lyzia protested, pursing her lips and glaring in dissatisfaction. "I’m your family too! My safety should matter just as much!"
Liana smiled, pausing her walk before turning and pinching Lyzia’s ear.
"Eeppp!!"
Liana’s smile turned dangerous, her voice dripping with sweet venom. "Me? Not care about my own blood? My precious little sister? Hmm~?"
She gestured toward Lyzia’s necklace, bracelet, and ring, her voice sharp.
"Those accessories you’re wearing? They were specially made by Young Master because I requested them, just to protect you from any dangerous attack, even the strongest magic that could instantly kill you. You should feel lucky that your room is inside the Armand Manor, just across from Young Master’s room! Not even that far!"
She leaned closer, her voice dropping into a low hiss.
"Not to mention, I made sure all the elven female officers who were assigned to accompany my spoiled little sister sleep in the same room as you. I even asked the Armand Royal Guard to be stationed outside your room. And Father-in-law, the Sovereign of Armand himself, added more security around the estate just because of your selfish request to stay longer. You should feel lucky that Aunt Mylezra is helping to ask my father-in-law for all of that!"
"Okay, okay! I’m sorry!" Lyzia squeaked, her ears burning red as she tried to pull away.
Liana released Lyzia’s ear before turning and glancing over her shoulder.
"Next time, don’t you dare say I don’t care about your safety, Lyzia. I have always cared. That is exactly why I insist you return to the Elven Nation."
She paused, her voice carrying a weight of wisdom.
"The Elven Nation has no neighboring enemies. It is surrounded by natural barriers and ancient treaties of peace. The Beastkin Nation and Armand are both treaty-bound to assist the Elven Nation immediately if any true threat arises. And the Elves themselves... they don’t have the greed or ambition that plagues the other races. They are a people of peace, seclusion, and deep wisdom. They don’t waste their long lives climbing ranks or scheming for power. They focus on art, magic, harmony, and preservation."
Liana continued walking, the others following behind her as she spoke.
"Elves are the longest-lived race in this world. We have seen empires rise and fall, watched kingdoms crumble and new ones take their place. We value peace, wisdom, and the simple beauty of life. We do not chase glory or wealth, because we know how fleeting those things truly are."
Her face turned serious, and she glared over her shoulder at Lyzia.
"That’s why I wanted you to return to the Elven Nation. It is safer there. But no~ someone who is spoiled insisted on staying longer in Armand, for reasons like wanting to be near her best friend."
Lyzia mumbled softly before moving closer to Celine, sliding her hand around Celine’s arm. "This is my first time having a human friend..." she murmured, her voice soft and vulnerable. "Back in the Elven Nation, I didn’t have many friends. Everyone was always so formal, so distant. They treated me like a princess first and a person second."
Liana’s voice remained serious, her tone firm. "That is because you are a princess, Lyzia. The daughter of the Elven King. People will always treat you differently. They will bow, they will flatter, they will keep their distance, and it is not something you can escape."
She paused, her voice carrying a firm edge.
"Still, the world beyond our borders is not kind. It is filled with ambition, greed, and cruelty. Human nobles, especially those from the other kingdoms, look upon elven women as prizes, as trophies to be captured and sold, or worse. They see our beauty as a commodity, not something to be respected. And you, Lyzia, are a princess. That makes you an even more valuable target."
Liana’s gaze sharpened as she continued.
"And now, after seeing how weak you are, how spoiled and unprepared you are for the dangers of the outside world, I am even more worried about you. Our older sisters are far stronger than you. They trained harder, they learned faster, they understood the weight of their position as princesses. But you? You still act like a child who thinks the world is a playground. If you ever left the safety of Armand or the Elven Nation without proper training, you would be captured, sold, or worse before you even realized the danger."
"Mou! I’m not that weak, Sister!" Lyzia huffed, stomping her feet before glaring at Liana with puffed cheeks and pursed lips. "I can handle myself just fine! And not to mention, if I go out, there will be an elven royal escort to ensure my safety!"
"Ara? Really?" Liana stopped walking, turned, and clasped both hands over her maid apron, giving Lyzia a sweet, dangerous smile.
Gloria exhaled softly, mumbling under her breath. "Haaa... we haven’t even arrived at the training room yet, and she’s already asking for trouble..."
She nudged her glasses up before smiling softly and glancing at her co-wives.
"It seems we’ll be here a little longer. Let’s find a seat."
Felicia smiled, nodded, and followed Gloria toward the bench, with Delya trailing behind her, still hugging her chocolate jar.
Mimi stood there, tilting her head, her tail swaying left and right before she glanced at Liana and pointed toward herself. "What about me, nya?"
Liana smiled, raising her palm to her cheek while her other arm crossed beneath her breasts. "You stay here, Mimi. I want you to show my spoiled sister why the real world is dangerous."
"Nya? Okay~"
Liana’s smile remained sweet but carried a sharp edge as she turned back to Lyzia and Celine. "You think the world is safe because you have guards? That’s a lovely fantasy. But the reality is, danger doesn’t wait for your escorts to be ready. It strikes when you least expect it, in ways you never see coming."
She gestured gracefully toward them. "Now, show me how you cast your magic. Both of you."
Lyzia smirked confidently, a glint of mischief in her eyes. "Prepare for a surprise, Big Sister!"
Liana’s smile remained serene, her voice calm and melodic. "Don’t hold back~ Go all out~ You both know I’m not that weak~"
Lyzia and Celine exchanged a glance before raising their palms. They began their incantations, their voices weaving through the air with practiced precision. Mana swirled around them, glowing with vibrant energy. Lyzia’s green light spiraled like living vines, while Celine’s silver-blue aura shimmered like moonlight on water. The air crackled with power as their spells began to take shape.
But just as the magic began to coalesce, it suddenly dissipated, vanishing as if it had never been there at all.
Lyzia blinked, her hands still raised. Celine stared at her palms, confusion in her eyes.
"Ara? What’s wrong, my sweet little sister~?" Liana tilted her head, her voice dripping with sweet sarcasm. "Do you need more time to cast your skill? Should I make some tea while you prepare?"
