Reborn As Noble Chapter 1180: Beyond Conventional Magic ( 1180 )

"Hmm..." Javier gave a nod. "I think it’s the right moment for Armand to push our healing practices further than ordinary magic healing, by blending in superior methods and equipment that make our healers stand out from the crowd."
"That sounds like a solid plan," Myra replied gently. "And I’m especially curious about those cubes, the defibrillator, and that special monocle you employed."
"No need to fret. I’ll talk it over with Father. For now, head out and tell Erinette to locate an appropriate room for the procedure. If there’s no fitting space or any problems arise, come back to me. Also, make sure Erinette stations two battle maids and two elite guards on standby."
"As you command, Your Highness." Myra curtsied elegantly before heading leisurely to the double doors.
"Oh, Myra?" Javier shot a look her way.
Myra halted and spun around to face him. "Yes, Your Highness?"
"Instruct your team to prepare themselves. You and your colleagues will be the initial ones to grasp the procedure protocols and help with the necessary healing abilities."
Once Myra had departed the chamber, Liana’s gaze shifted to the spot where Gracelle lay resting, fixating on the oxygen mask over her nose and mouth, the cables linked to monitoring equipment, and the IV pouch suspended by the bed, steadily infusing liquid into her arm.
"Young Master?"
"Hmm?" Javier, with his chin still propped on Liana’s shoulder, peered at her ear. "Yes, Liana?"
"What are those things?" Liana nodded her chin toward the devices fastened to Gracelle’s form.
Javier grinned and started to clarify in a hushed tone. "That’s an oxygen mask; it aids her in breathing with greater ease. The cables link to devices that observe her heart rate, mana circulation, and various vital indicators. The pouch up there is an IV, supplying liquids and nourishment straight into her bloodstream to bolster her while she remains out."
Liana bent ahead and pivoted to Javier, squinting her eyes in a teasing manner.
"How come you’re familiar with all this?" she inquired, lifting a finger and jabbing it teasingly at him with a faint grin. "From everything I’ve learned, there’s no documentation of such expertise. It’s completely innovative."
Javier let out a light chuckle and beamed, drawing closer until their noses brushed. "Have you forgotten I’m a genius?"
"Is that so? Hmm?" Liana grinned and tightened her squint, her face showing doubt.
"Yeah." Javier grinned. "No cause for concern there. You’re aware of my nature, constantly experimenting and creating. Similar to Father, who’s forever conducting mental simulations and strategizing far ahead, I follow suit. The distinction lies in my emphasis on creation and wisdom, whereas Father concentrates on tactics and rule."
Liana rotated and settled against Javier’s frame, placing her head on his shoulder.
"Do you believe she’ll pull through?"
Javier offered a subtle smile. "We can only hope. She’s endured over four years already, and she just endured the revival ordeal not long ago."
Liana looked over at Gracelle. "Young Master?"
"Hmm?" Javier angled his head and regarded her. "Yes, Liana?"
Liana gave a gentle smile. "Nothing."
"Truly? Hmm?" Javier squinted his eyes in jest.
Liana gradually slid from Javier’s lap and rose to her feet.
"Where to, Liana?"
Liana grinned. "I’m off to see about Myra and my fellow wives. Why do you ask?" She squinted teasingly.
"Oh..." Javier flashed a soft smile and snapped his fingers. A pair of his newest puppet knights appeared next to Liana.
"Liana?"
"Yes, Young Master?" Liana grinned and wagged her head as the two puppet knights positioned themselves rather near to her.
"Stay cautious. And avoid any recklessness." Javier’s face grew grave. "I won’t tolerate any harm coming to you."
"Rest easy, Young Master." She cast him a teasing scowl. "If you’re truly anxious about all of us, you ought to call forth more like these." Liana cast a sideways peek at the puppet knights beside her. "To safeguard everyone, particularly your kin and ladies~"
Javier reclined in his seat and extended his arms overhead. "Well... there’s no need for you to fret over that." He regarded Liana with an assured grin. "Since they’re already encircling the whole estate."
Outside.
Mathrias Estate.
The Mathrias guards observed as the vicinity swarmed with Armand’s ultra-elite troops, dressed in streamlined, cutting-edge armor and wielding armaments unlike any they’d encountered before.
One guard, positioned beside his comrade close to the entrance, bent in and murmured.
"Check out their gear and protection."
"Yeah..." the partner murmured in response. "It’s gear I doubt we’ll ever handle."
The initial guard nodded, his stare locked on the distinctive arms, barriers, and what appeared to be a sword fused into the armor.
Their attention stayed on a single soldier making rounds in the zone.
"Look at that helmet. Way too awesome, dude."
"I’m curious what the wearer looks like inside."
"Gotta be massive, right."
"Yeah. I got startled when they popped up out of nowhere."
"Seems Armand leaves nothing to chance with King Garius present."
"Yeah. Particularly alongside the Queen and the Prince."
"I’m wondering where our master is at the moment."
"No clue. But from the rumors, our lord called for aid since nearby areas are scheming something. That’s the reason King Garius arrived."
"Yeah... with Armand’s support, at least we’re secure."
A nearby guard edged over gradually, entering the quiet discussion.
"What’re you pair chatting about?"
The duo looked at him and shook their heads.
"We’re discussing Armand’s forces, buddy. See that one? The armor’s slick. Wonder if it weighs a ton." He remarked, eyeing his own basic leather and chainmail gear.
"Yeah... we’re both pondering when we might don something similar. But you realize, complete plate like that... not quite as stylish as theirs." The other guard waved toward the polished, advanced armor on the Armand fighters.
"Heh... wanna try that kind of armor? Enlist with the knights then." The third fellow grinned while gripping his pike.
"Not a chance. Knights get thrown into the front lines against beasts or in fights. Nah... no thanks." The first guard declined with a head shake.
The second guard grinned. "By the way, noticed the Armand maids accompanying their king? And those women officers?"
The first guard eyed him. "Uh... they brought some?"
The third fellow shook his head and grinned. "You actually missed them?"
"Uh... no... why?" The first guard rubbed his head, pike still in hand.
The second and third guards grinned. "Oh~ if you’d seen their beauty..."
"But don’t we have lovely maids too?" the first guard questioned.
The pair’s eyes bulged, and they released a prolonged breath. "Sure, but just a couple. Here it’s a full dozen. Wow... Armand’s on another level, eh?"
"Yeah. Occasionally I ponder if Armand’s packed with stunners."
"Who can say." The second guard grinned. "Next opportunity, I might head there for a visit."
