Gracelle's life faded as she whispered her final thanks to her grieving parents, Sylvia and Rolland, her body going limp in the midst of their despair. Javier burst into the room with his entourage, immediately deploying advanced mana devices and casting Purify and Cleanse to combat the curse ravaging her frail form, while performing urgent mana-based resuscitation. As tensions escalated with the Mathrias guards, Garius, Francesca, and their allies asserted Armand's authority, ordering Sylvia and Rolland to leave and entrusting Javier with saving Gracelle.

"Myra! Begin channeling the healing skill." While Javier persisted with mana-infused CPR, he concentrated completely on detecting Gracelle’s weak mana trace.

With a nod and a subtle smile, Myra lifted her palms elegantly. She oriented them outwards before pointing them at Gracelle, her hands radiating a gentle white glow that surrounded the girl’s body in a comforting, restorative energy.

Javier withdrew his hands and grabbed the mana defibrillator, an advanced magical tool built to send a precise jolt for reviving the heart. From his spatial storage, he fetched a container of spirit-conducting gel and spread a thick layer under Gracelle’s breasts to maximize conduction.

Activating the mana defibrillator, he picked up the two unique paddles, made from mithril mixed with a scarce mana-channeling metal, their faces inscribed with complex runes.

Firmly, he placed the mithril paddles on the gel-covered spots, his actions accurate and composed.

"Step back a bit and avoid contact with the patient, Myra."

Myra acknowledged with a nod and kept up her healing channel.

Javier’s finger rested on the switch, and he yelled after confirming nobody touched Gracelle. "Clear!"

As soon as he activated it, a measured burst of mana flowed via the paddles, and through his special monocle, Javier followed the subtle mana trace and pulse.

"Myra, maintain the healing flow, plus add cure and purify skills."

"No need to fret, Your Highness. I’m already upholding cure, purify, and anti-curse measures alongside the healing channel. It’s our routine at the Armand Healing Facility Corp for dealing with mysterious ailments."

A slight smile crossed Javier’s face as he nodded approvingly. "I’m pleased Father boosted the funding for the Healer Corp. And I’m pleased he included you. Just ensure you remain beyond the barrier created by the hovering cubes. They’re meant to trap any released curse or toxin from Gracelle’s system."

Thoughtfully, he looked at Myra. "I believe we ought to enhance the Armand Healer Corp more. Perhaps create the Armand Royal Surgical Hospital & Academy."

Politely, Myra replied, her tone carrying a spark of enthusiasm. "That sounds splendid, Your Highness. And maybe include a Pekko in the emblem?"

Javier offered a faint smile. "Naturally. But right now, let’s prioritize getting her stable."

He accessed the mana ventilator and set it to provide a consistent oxygen stream to Gracelle’s lungs. Next, he extracted a cube glowing with pure white light and suspended it above her face.

Turning to Myra, he said, "I feel we need to set up an operating room." He pulled out a flask of unique fluid and a needle infused with surgical spirit, readying it to inject a stabilizing substance.

As Javier prepped the injection, Myra observed his hands. He dipped a cotton pad in surgical spirit, wiped the spot softly, and injected the stabilizing agent into Gracelle’s arm with care.

"Excuse me, Your Highness, but could I inquire?"

"Of course, Myra? What’s on your mind?" Javier responded after completing the injection, then started connecting monitoring tools—a mana multi-parameter patient monitor, an electrocardiogram, a pulse oximeter, and various vital monitors. Following the shot, Gracelle’s state steadied, but she stayed out cold.

"What was that device you used just now?" Myra questioned, pointing to the injection.

While watching Gracelle’s even condition via the enchanted devices, Javier clarified. "It’s a stabilizing agent, crafted to bolster her body’s inherent processes as we pinpoint and address the root issue. It sustains her key signs while we gear up for further actions."

"Ah..." Myra nodded, grasping the idea.

Javier gave a relieved faint smile. "You can cease your skill channeling now, Myra. It could wear you out if prolonged, and I’d rather not endanger your stamina."

Myra simply smiled. "Rest easy, Your Highness. Like most Armand healers, I’ve endured strict drills in mana management and stamina. We’re capable of ongoing healing for more than a full day without facing mana drain or fatigue."

Smiling, Javier settled into a chair, his gaze fixed on Gracelle. "I understand... but even so, people require breaks. Even top healers must moderate to prevent overload."

Leaning back in the seat, Javier looked over at Liana.

"Liana?"

From afar, where she’d been standing by, Liana approached smoothly with a soft smile.

"Yes, Young Master?"

Javier patted his knee, gesturing for Liana to take a seat there.

Liana shook her head and gave a tired, subtle smile. "Young Master... is this the moment for such tender moments?"

She eyed Myra. "See your prince attempting romance amid a crisis."

Myra chuckled lightly. "That’s typical of him."

Javier merely smiled and gazed up at Liana silently.

With a gentle sigh, Liana settled gracefully onto his lap, reclining against him.

"Young Master?"

"Hmm?"

"Will Gracelle pull through, do you think?"

Javier looked at Myra first, then placed his chin atop Liana’s head.

"We can only hope. For the moment, though, she’s holding steady." He shifted his attention to Myra.

"Myra?"

"Yes, Your Highness?"

"Do you have additional healers accompanying you?"

"Indeed, Your Highness." Myra nodded gently. "My assistant and a veteran healer joined me."

"Excellent. Head to Erinette and have her ready an appropriate chamber in this manor for the procedure in half an hour. After picking the space, instruct Erinette to station two combat maids and two top guard squads to secure it." Javier halted, his face growing grave. "Entry and exit restricted to Armand staff and kin only."

Slightly leaning in, Liana peered at Javier, as Myra regarded him with interest.

"If I may ask the reason, Your Highness?" Myra wondered.

"Because I believe someone in this Mathrias household caused Gracelle’s plight and current state," Javier answered quietly. "Though confirmation awaits."

Drawing Liana nearer, Javier embraced her from the back and set his chin on her shoulder. "I reckon it ties to a curse toxin or similar, slipped into her meals or beverages. It’s a gradual harm meant to imitate sickness."

Arms folded, Myra tapped her chin in contemplation, lips slightly pressed. "That explains why fellow healers failed to mend her, and priests proved useless." She drew a notepad and stylus, scribbling while murmuring to herself.

"This could teach a fresh approach to healing and spotting such threats."
