Rio explained to Liam and Link the importance of walking one's own path to true strength, rather than relying on external help. Later, their group boarded a luxurious carriage provided by Selain for their journey. Inside, Rio teased Link about his hygiene, leading to a round of laughter among the friends. Their carriage then traveled through a portal, instantly transporting them to the Dragon Valley, where they arrived at the foot of a massive mountain range.

The entire mountain range was covered in various kinds of seals and powerful sealing artifacts, and gigantic golden chains were floating all around in the air as if they were suspended in the void via magic.

Strange symbols glowed faintly on the rocks and on the huge floating plates, and the sheer amount of work that had gone into the barrier was staggering.

Those dozens of seals and chains were all wrapping around the miasma-emitting portal tightly, but it was clear that the seal was having a hard time containing the power of that miasma portal as the chains were trembling and cracking constantly.

Every few seconds a low, grinding sound echoed across the valley, like a giant gritting its teeth, and a few tiny sparks fell down from the straining links.

"You are finally here."

The voice was deep and steady, and it carried the weight of someone who had not slept properly for a very long time.

"Although it’s not the best time for a greeting, I welcome you all to the Dragon Valley."

The Dragon King Idri himself came to welcome the group when they arrived at the front gate of the giant fortress.

A faint, weary smile hovered on his face as he spoke, though it did not entirely hide the worry in his eyes.

Several dragon guards bowed deeply as he passed, and the whole fortress seemed to hold its breath for a moment at the sight of him.

"Rio Flash, I never expected that I would get to see someone stronger than me appear in the era so suddenly, but I must acknowledge, you are truly extraordinary!"

Though his words were polite, there was a hint of rueful amusement in them, for the Dragon King had never imagined he would have to say them to a man so young.

Idri was a tall man with broad shoulders and silver streaks in his hair, and the faint scales along his neck glinted gold each time he moved.

The Dragon King Idri shook hands with Rio with a happy smile as if he were relieved that Rio had come to the dragon valley to provide reinforcements.

His grip was strong and warm, and the relief in his expression was obvious to everyone watching.

"Oh, Link and the others too? I didn’t expect you were coming too, or I would have arranged the carriage to go to the dragon king’s palace first...."

He scratched his chin in slight embarrassment, and it was strange to see such a mighty ruler appear so human in front of the young visitors.

The Dragon King thought that only Rio and Lia would be coming, and since there was not enough time, it was better to first solve the problem of the dungeon before arranging a welcoming banquet.

A proper welcome meant a long table, rich food, and polite speeches, and it did not seem right to him to delay the matter any further.

"No worries, we also want to visit the fairyland; the welcome parties can wait, we should help save lives first."

Link immediately replied with a steady and sincere smile, and the others behind him nodded in agreement.

Hearing Link’s words, the Dragon King was happy, but he shook his head and replied in a calm voice,

"Although I know that you want to help, the situation here is too dangerous."

He knew the young man was sincere, and he also knew from long experience how quickly sincerity could turn into disaster in a place like this.

His eyes drifted briefly towards the distant summit, and a shadow of grave concern crossed his face.

"Even a person as strong as me dares not get close to that miasmic hellhole; it wouldn’t be a good idea for you all to go with Rio."

It was not easy for a king to admit such a thing in front of his guests, and the heaviness of those words clearly showed how dangerous the situation was.

At those words, Selain waved her hand and clarified,

"Oh, don’t worry about that, Father; the others will only visit the fairies, Rio will escort them there, and they will not challenge the dungeon itself."

A small confident smile appeared on Selain’s face while speaking, as if to say that she had thought the situation through very carefully and had not forgotten anything.

Link and the others also agreed with her words.

Although Link and the others also had some level of miasmic resistance due to the fact that they all possessed a legendary skill or other unique characteristics, they weren’t arrogant enough to think that their ability to deal with miasma was as strong as Rio’s.

They knew their own limits well and knew that a reckless move in a place like this would help nobody and only add one more burden to Rio’s shoulders.

In the entire group, aside from Rio, only Ellie had the highest resistance to miasma, thanks to her mastery of the ’Shadow’ element and her long time living in the spirit realm.

The quiet shadow elemental powers within her seemed to hum faintly under the influence of miasma, as if recognizing an old and familiar friend, though she was careful not to show it.

Others did not have Rio’s or Ellie’s ability so it wasn’t a good idea to be reckless.

"Good, then let’s go inside; I will explain the current situation to you all in the meeting room."

He gestured towards the great iron doors with a broad sweep of his arm, and the guards at the gate pulled them open with a deep, rumbling groan.

With a happy smile, the Dragon King led the entire group inside the fortress, arranged for the servants to prepare refreshments, and held a meeting for the next plan.

Their footsteps echoed down the long stone corridors, past rows of tall windows that revealed the unsettling glow of the distant portal.

Thus, with the approval of the Dragon King, a new adventure of Team Astra into Fairyland began in earnest! Whatever waited for them beyond the mountains, they would face it together, as they always had.
