Yes! From the memories of the giant worm of parasitism, Rio found that Zain Dred, the ancestor of the Flash Family bloodline, a member of the first golden generation and the world’s strongest necromancer, was actually still alive to this day!

From what Rio had seen in the memories of the crown, Zain Dred was lured into the demon continent by the ’Demon King’ and the ’God of Decay,’ using their powers to corrupt his senses.
Even King Allen felt helpless against the God of Decay, let alone Zain, who was much weaker than him, so Rio had assumed that Zain was finished!
’Come to think of it... in the crown, when the Demon King ambushed Allen, he only verbally said that they had killed Zain... They never showed any real proof, and demons are always famous for lying...’

Miasma rarely lets go of its captured enemies easily.

It was completely possible for the God of Decay to have concealed Zain’s presence and hide him until Allen left the planet with Astra just so they would not find Zain until the end!
’No... I am perhaps thinking from the wrong angle... the God of Decay might have chosen to keep him alive to use him as a trump card later!’
Cunning and dirty tactics were usual practice for miasma; the God of Decay was no different.
It was entirely possible for the God of Decay to have kept Zain alive so that he could show his tortured body to Allen and Bela later on and make them feel horrified for not being able to find and save their friend!
’Could it be that the God of Decay used the captured Zain to force Allen to make some kind of deal, thus causing Allen to fail in his ultimate mission of eradicating miasma?’
’No... That’s not right. Allen is indeed a kindhearted person, but he would have likely sacrificed Zain’s life in that kind of situation and wouldn’t have agreed to such a losing deal...’
Rio knew that Allen was the type who had willingly put his own parents to death just so he could start his ’Hero’s Journey’ without hindrance!
So the life of Zain was likely not going to make his steps falter at all.
’But then why is miasma keeping Zain alive until now?’
The more Rio thought about this, the more confused he became; in the end, he had no other choice but to completely analyze Ahankar’s memories and change his original route!
"It doesn’t matter if he’s dead or alive... if he’s there, I must go meet him!"
