Ratna's intuition becomes confused as an unknown figure appears, radiating a powerful miasmic aura and unsettling presence. The stranger, who calls himself a 'Pilgrim' on a journey for higher understanding, claims to be drawn by Ratna's attempt to sense him. Despite Ratna's fear and skepticism about the Pilgrim's presence in the demon lands, the stranger calmly brews tea and professes that they are all fellow strugglers seeking hope.

Rio’s intuition had always been exceptional, and he believed in it a lot.

Ever since Rio ventured into the spirit realm and used the soul energy of the creatures there to enhance his own soul, the power of his perception, soul, and intuition has become exceptionally stronger.

Moreover, with his skill in soul manipulation and the newly acquired ability to see and manipulate the strings of fate to a certain extent, Rio now had insane anti-tracking abilities.

As long as someone tried to track him down, tried to find him, or tried to use their intuition or skills to predict things about him, the disturbances created in the strings of destiny would become easily noticeable to Rio.

Thus, when Ratna was using his intuition to predict how to make it out of the situation alive and find some source of external help, his intuition unknowingly locked onto Rio, who was in the area nearby.

This was just a mere play of fate trying to make Rio meet with Ratna. If Rio wanted, he could just ignore this all and leave completely, nullifying this manipulation of fate.

But Rio decided to see for himself whether this so-called ’fateful encounter’ was worth his time or not.

With the prior experience with the young kid in the dwarf kingdom, Rio knew that these ’chance encounters’ were not always bad and could prove to be useful.

Moreover, Rio was currently on a pilgrimage to seek his own truth and wanted to get involved in these ’chance encounters’ to make his own mind clearer.

’Although my expectations were at the lowest... I am surprised that I actually found such a big gem in this dark mud of miasma and filth.’

Just one look was enough for Rio to notice the strong concentration of fate and destiny on Ratna.

’A Demon King in the making. He’s got enough potential to rival Alverto one day...’

Rio could even feel the possibility of a ’Legendary Technique’ awakening in this random demon kid.

’As I suspected... the demon race is filled with talented individuals. ’Alverto’ level geniuses are hard to find in other races and rarely appear in ages, but for the demon race, they seem quite easier to form...’

One of the most significant differences between the other races and the demon race was that the demons had a massive population base and a gigantic variety of species!

From a broader perspective, they were a race of mindless demons that loved violence, but the population they had was so massive that the birth of rare talents was much easier among them.

The only reason the demon race hadn’t yet managed to dominate the entire universe, despite being filled with thousands and thousands of geniuses, was that these geniuses usually had a very low life span!

And the reason for their small life span was also very simple, all demons were inflicted with the curse of rot from the moment of their birth!

The very energy that granted them power and strength beyond mortal means was itself harmful for their bodies and souls in the longer term.

Miasma not only harmed those attacked by it, but even the demons were horrified of it just as much as any other race!

Many young demons that lived in tribes watched their elders and close comrades become insane and overly violent due to miasmic corruption brought by age and accumulation over time.

In stronger demonic tribes and species, the corruption of miasma spread slower, but even the longest-living demons could not make it past a few decades.

Only those high-rank demons and generals were able to live for centuries and millennia at the cost of changing bodies every once in a while, through possession.

Even the Demon King himself had to change his body every few hundred years, as it would get corroded to the point of becoming a dark blob of filth due to the high concentration of miasma in his body over time.

The Eldor tribe was no exception; they were low-rank demons that usually didn’t even reach rank C and lived a life of only three years before going insane from miasmic decay.

’And yet... despite all these debuffs... The strings of destiny still try to concentrate on the demon race...’

As one of the most powerful races in the universe, the demon race was terrifyingly influential, and to control this influence, the heavenly will usually tried to use the strings of destiny to control various rare, talented demons.

Alverto was one such example.

He was destined to die at the hands of his siblings despite having the ’time’ elemental talent that is rare in several centuries.

If not for the ’God of Decay,’ who interfered with this destiny and changed its flow, Alverto’s death would have been a non-changeable matter and was bound to happen one way or another.

The same was true for the various other demons who gained ’legendary skills’ through one method or another.

These legendary skills usually ended up becoming their demise later on in life as they were given to them to control them and make them march to their death at the manipulation of the heavenly will.

This was a clever method of controlling and destroying the influence of miasma and was used very often.

’The heavens have already chosen to eliminate this fella it seems... perhaps that’s why the strings of destiny tried to make me come here so I would destroy this encampment and solve this future trouble...’

This ’Fateful encounter’ created by the strings of fate was a double-edged sword; it could either help Rio or could become a trouble for him in the future. The outcome depended on how Rio would choose to handle it.

’To be honest, I am tempted to destroy this tribe, as I don’t want another Alverto to appear among the demon race, but I have a feeling that I shouldn’t be impulsive...’

’To destroy this gem before it could even make its debut on the real stage would be too hasty... I have to bet on the future...’
