Bela presented herself as a doctor who had failed in saving an important person and was being hunted down by their thugs.

The settlement was usually quite peaceful, so there were not many people getting injured or falling sick; thus, being a doctor was not enough on its own.

The job of a teacher was perfect for her, as it gave her an excuse to interact with Allen more openly.

Nova, on the other hand, established a hidden base for herself and all the fairies that had come to the settlement to seek the ’Heaven’s Chosen.’

She even trained the fairies into becoming qualified scouts so that in the future they could become useful for the ’Chosen One.’

Nova knew that there was no free lunch in this world; in return for the assistance of the chosen one, she had to return something of equal value to him, and thus she decided to train her people into qualified subordinates for the ’Hero.’

Later on, while Nova ensured the safety of the settlement from outside, Bela became friends with Allen’s parents and started teaching Allen about the various things she had seen and experienced in the world.

Allen, who had reverted himself back to the level of a normal child, smiled with fascination every time she told him a new story.

His big eyes were filled with yearning for the vast and colourful world.

Bit by bit time passed, days turned into months, and months turned into years; several years passed away in the blink of an eye.

Just like Allen had declared, for several years, the hidden settlement ushered in peace, which allowed Allen to grow up normally like any other child of his age.

From a kid, he grew up to be a teenager with extremely handsome features and an aura of majesty in his golden eyes.

Leaning against the metal railing of the balcony, Allen sighed deeply as he took a sip of the juice in his hand.

Bela, who was standing beside him, sighed as she looked back towards the living room where Allen’s parents and friends were still chatting and dancing happily.

The atmosphere was filled with happiness and peace; it was an environment that both Allen and Bela loved deeply and wanted to be a part of, but even if they wanted, they could never be a part of it anymore.

Their destinies carried the fate of the world itself; for them, peace was but a fleeting dream, and they both knew that from that day onwards, their lives would never be the same anymore.

In the past few years, they had already rested and enjoyed a happy, peaceful life, but now it was time to leave these mortal shackles behind and walk the ’Path’ that was meant for them.

Delaying the inevitable was not going to benefit them or the world at all.

"If I may say... how about negotiating with the ’Law’ of ’Death and Destruction’ to let your parents live?"

"I have already made up my mind, Bela; do not make me falter now that I have barely managed to keep myself steady."

"To be a ’Hero’, I have to make this sacrifice; there is no other way out."

Allen knew that the future would carry tremendous chaos, and in that kind of era, miasma would be running rampant everywhere.

The entire world was aware that a ’Hero’ had been born in the world; Miasma was obviously aware of it too.

Once Allen steps out in the vast world, his identity will soon be exposed to miasma, and his parents will definitely be targeted every single day by miasma, which would create a major shackle for Allen.

A ’Hero’ like him who was destined to be at odds with miasma could not afford to have shackles like that.

He had to make a decision right now or he would fail as a ’Hero’ and as a ’Son’ in the future.
