Reborn as an Extra Chapter 808: The ’Fated Miracle’ And The ’Goddess of Life’. Part-6.
Previously on Reborn as an Extra...
"Born in the town of ’Reinhart,’ the Child of Miracles is named ’Allen von Reinhart’!"
Although Allen’s father Gaius did not like the town of Reinhart because of its short-tempered residents,
The town itself had a long history of being the birth place of an ancient hero called ’Reinhart’ who was just a mortal and yet managed to save his people from a calamity.
Moreover, Allen was born under circumstances that resembled a calamity for Gaius and his wife Lillian.
Just by being born, Allen had saved the lives of Gaius and his wife by averting the calamity of certain death at the hands of the villagers!
Allen was born a ’hero’ from the very beginning, and a ’Hero’ must have a name deserving of their reputation; thus, Gaius had decided to name his son Allen Von Reinhart!
"Seeing that you were injured and had fainted, the Chosen One asked his friends to help carry you back to the settlement; meanwhile, I entered my stealth mode to avoid being noticed by those adult humans..."
"The people in this settlement are more friendly than I expected; they accepted you pretty easily!"
"The only infuriating thing is that those idiots actually dared to raise their voices in the presence of the great heaven’s chosen and actually scolded him! Calling him reckless and impatient!"
"Hah! If not for the fact that I didn’t want to reveal my presence, I would have beaten the sh*t out of them all back then! How dare they disrespect the ’child of heavens’ like that!"
"Also, that woman called Lillian, who claimed to be the mother of the chosen one, even punished the chosen one with mundane homework and called him reckless for going into the forests!"
"I barely managed to control my anger after hearing those words; if she weren’t the chosen one’s mother, I would have blown her away on the spot!"
Hearing Nova’s words, Bela was a bit taken aback but then realized the problem instantly.
Nova was a fairy who hated human beings to the core, and thus she had never attempted to learn about human society and inner workings.
For fairies, being able to live independently since birth is a normal thing; they can think for themselves from the start and make their own decisions.
There is no such concept of ’Parents’ in the fairy race, so no one stops the newborn fairies from doing whatever they want, and no one imposes any restrictions on them, as fairies are naturally freedom-loving creatures.
Moreover, fairies wander in forests almost all the time, and the forest is like a second home to them aside from their birthplace!
So, Nova could not understand why Allen and the other children had to be scolded for going into the forests without permission and why Allen’s mother punished him with homework.
These kinds of acts were common for human beings, but for the fairies, it was an unheard concept that they couldn’t accept.
"Uh, Nova, calm down; human society works very differently than what fairies are used to... let me handle the trouble of dealing with all this; you can stay hidden for now."
Hearing Bela’s words, Nova agreed readily; she wanted to hang around Allen all day long and didn’t want to waste her time on human affairs that she hated; it was better to leave this matter to Bela.
"Good."
Bela didn’t reject the idea and agreed instantly.
It wasn’t anything new; ever since they left Kenorland, they have both wandered across the world and have visited many nations.
Throughout the entire journey, Nova has always remained in stealth while she herself worked hard to fit in with society.
From initial immaturity and timidness, Bela has grown into a mature and confident person who can survive and thrive anywhere in the world as long as given a bit of time.
Even without her healing powers, she still had many mundane skills like, medicine crafting, alchemy, herb growing, sewing, etc.
She had even made sure to learn all the modern medicine and had even completed a basic doctor’s course from a private college under a false name and identity.
Living in stealth, changing identities easily and erasing traces of her existence are skills that she has honed over several decades of time under the constant pursuit of her enemies.
In terms of knowledge and wisdom, she was now leagues ahead of even Nova, who was once her teacher!
"Hmmm?"
Just when Bela was making plans in her mind, her intuition suddenly reacted to something, and a subtle hint from the ’World’ appeared in her mind.
Without wasting a second, Bela suddenly got up from the bed and walked out of the small hut.
Nova, who had been talking with Bela happily, was taken aback by Bela’s sudden actions, but she immediately quieted down, as she had seen this situation happen before many times.
After living with Bela for several decades, Nova knew that Bela’s intuition was extraordinary, and she could easily react to things that others could not guess even in their dreams!
With Bela walking barefoot on the small road, Nova followed behind her silently, and the two made their way towards a secluded area of the settlement located near the outskirts.
The place looked like a training ground or a small park with trees planted in neat rows on both sides of the square field.
Bright moonlight shone on the small pond, and Bela’s eyes immediately noticed the figure of a young child sitting on a bench under the shade of a tree near the pond.
The young child’s golden hair shone brightly under the moonlight, and his golden pupils made people feel mesmerized.
As if possessed by a ghost, Bela’s body moved forward on its own, and she made her way to the child’s side.
Noticing Bela, The child looked at her with a gentle smile on his face and greeted her with his sweet voice,
"Nice to meet you, Ms. Bela Anant, ’The Greatest Healer In The World.’"
