Luo Yanqing and Kang Li drive the children home, discussing Bun and Tangyuan's desire to skip a grade in school. The children are excited to reunite with their older siblings, Min Rui, Ming Han, and Ming Wei, upon arrival.
"Mom!" "Mom!" Witnessing Kang Li approaching, Min Rui, Ming Han, and Ming Wei simultaneously called out. "Let's head back home now." Kang Li offered a smile to the children, led by his eldest son, then gestured with his hand. He proceeded ahead like a monarch among children, guiding the group into the courtyard. Around the same time, Luo Yanqing's car was pulling up close to the entrance. "Teacher Kang isn't teaching today?" Typically, when classes were in session, Kang Li avoided returning to the courtyard to bypass any complications. "No, I'm not." Exchanging pleasantries with acquaintances encountered along the way, Kang Li responded courteously with a smile. After proceeding a short distance further, another familiar face waved. "Teacher Kang, you're back?!" Kang Li replied with a simple, "Yes." "Teacher Kang, you truly possess a gift for raising children. Just look at yours – the elder ones and the little ones are all as charming as blooming flowers!" While Kang Li was genuinely pleased by the compliment to his children, he observed Min Rui and Ming Han blushing. He then gently corrected the acquaintance, "Aunt Wang, when my sons look good, we call it handsome!" The middle-aged woman, identified as Aunt Wang, quickly let out a soft chuckle. "Oh, yes, yes, my apologies for the poor choice of words. Your boys must feel a bit embarrassed, shouldn't they?" Min Rui and Ming Han both shook their heads at Aunt Wang's remark. In reality, their cheeks grew even redder. Even the usually composed Loh En's delicate face flushed as Aunt Wang's teasing gaze fell upon him. It must be said that Loh En had inherited the most striking features from both his mother, Loh Xue, and his father, Xiao Shen. His handsome appearance was on par with Min Rui and Ming Han. More specifically, upon closer inspection of Loh En's features, a subtle resemblance to Min Rui could be discerned. However, whether comparing the brothers Min Rui and Ming Han, or Loh En, their good looks were slightly overshadowed by Bun and Tangyuan. Even the beautiful Ming Wei paled slightly in comparison to Little Guoguo in terms of sheer stunning appeal. For the moment, Guoguo was merely an adorable toddler, whereas Ming Wei carried herself with an innate grace, perfectly embodying the image of a lovely young fairy. As they continued their walk, the children exchanged greetings with various acquaintances, and before they realized it, they had arrived at their destination. "Mom, you should rest. I'll handle the cooking." Upon entering the courtyard and hearing activity from the kitchen, Kang Li washed his hands at the outdoor tap and proceeded directly inside. Before Cai Xiufen could utter a word, he took the apron from his mother and guided her out of the kitchen, instructing Ming Wei and Guoguo to escort Cai Xiufen to the living room. Unexpectedly, Ming Wei was determined to assist Kang Li. At this point, Luo Yanqing approached and intervened, "Take your sister and Grandma to the living room to play. Your dad is here to help your mom in the kitchen." Noticing Kang Li's dismissive gesture, Ming Wei finally relented, saying, "Oh." "The porridge on the stove is ready. Only the stir-frying remains, so your help isn't needed here." Kang Li excused Luo Yanqing. "Let me handle the onion chopping." After washing his hands, Luo Yanqing picked up half an onion, which had been soaking in a bowl of cold water, and began to slice it. "Standing here might sting your eyes. Go stand by the kitchen doorway." "Aren't you concerned about your own eyes tearing up?" Kang Li asked with a smile. "Mom put them in cold water, so there's no need to worry now," Luo Yanqing replied casually. Hearing this, Kang Li chuckled, "If chopping onions doesn't bother you, then standing nearby certainly won't bother me." Glancing at the other two plates of prepped ingredients, Kang Li announced, "I'll stir-fry these two dishes first." "Alright." Luo Yanqing nodded in agreement. One dish featured tangy shredded potatoes, another was stir-fried pork with wood ear mushrooms, and a third was stir-fried meat with large chili peppers and onions. Complementing these were Cai Xiufen's braised chicken pieces with mushrooms. The resulting four dishes offered a balanced combination of meat and vegetables, filling the air with a delicious aroma. For the main course, fluffy white steamed buns and sweet red bean porridge were served. The family partook in the meal with great satisfaction. "I'm feeling quite full!" Ming Han rubbed his belly and grinned at his elder brother, Min Rui. "How about you, big brother?" "Just because you lack self-control doesn't mean everyone else does. Eating past your limit will naturally lead to feeling stuffed." Rolling his eyes at him, Min Rui then called for Loh En and Bun to join him for a stroll outside the courtyard to aid digestion. "Second brother, Guoguo is also a little full!" Holding her small tummy, Guoguo playfully pretended to be stuffed, bestowing some consideration upon Second Brother Ming Han. "Good Guoguo, you're such a wonderful sister to Second Brother!" Patting his little sister's head, Ming Han shot Min Rui a triumphant look: See? Guoguo cares deeply about me as her second brother; she even considers my feelings! But Min Rui simply rolled his eyes again, leading Bun, Tangyuan, and Loh En out of the living room.
