With a satisfied grin, Lu Qiqi finalized the shot, immortalizing the perfect moment.
"How does it look?" Zhang Zhaodi had a strong premonition that the photograph captured would possess significant artistic merit.
What young woman doesn't appreciate beauty? Bursting with excitement, she dismounted the hammock with haste.
Indeed, the resulting photograph was stunningly beautiful, requiring absolutely no digital touch-ups to achieve perfection.
Zhang Zhaodi declared, "I suddenly remembered there's a photo printing shop nearby. I want to get this printed and gift it to my boyfriend."
Lu Qiqi responded with a strained smile, "If you wish to give it, then by all means, go ahead."
Having made her decision, Zhang Zhaodi grasped Lu Qiqi’s hand, and they joyfully proceeded outside towards the open-air corridor.
Zhang Chi, reclining on the hammock and preparing for a nap, observed the departure of the two boisterous women and slightly opened his eyes.
Abruptly, a faint ringing sound reached his ears.
Possessing an uncanny talent for spotting opportunities to make money, Zhang Chi leaped from the hammock with agility. He hurried back to the hammock previously occupied by Zhang Zhaodi and, as expected, discovered a ringing cell phone.
Though inherently greedy, Zhang Chi would never stoop to such a base act as to pocket this item for himself. However, securing some form of personal benefit was not entirely out of the question.
Zhang Chi called out towards the two girls who had not yet gone far, "Zhang Zhaodi, your phone!"
Zhang Zhaodi paused her enthusiastic stride, turned around, and replied, "Zhang Chi, I now have a boyfriend."
Zhang Chi held up the phone, indicating, "It’s yours, it belongs to you."
However, Zhang Zhaodi, eager to print the photograph without delay, politely declined, "I apologize, but my boyfriend strictly forbids me from adding any other male acquaintances."
With those words, she quickened her pace, rounded a corner, and vanished from sight.
Zhang Chi exclaimed, "Damn it all!"
He glanced down at the incoming QQ call, noting the caller ID displayed the nickname "Brother Wu."
Zhang Chi contemplated the possibility of extracting a benefit through Zhang Zhaodi’s brother.
Therefore, he tapped to accept the call: "Hello, yes."
Wu Tie, who had called with considerable excitement, was taken aback upon hearing a male voice.
The companions gathered around Wu Tie exchanged glances, their expressions betraying a comical surprise.
This was because Wu Tie, in his eagerness to demonstrate the strength of his relationship, had inadvertently activated the speakerphone.
Wu Tie, now exhibiting signs of paranoia, heard this and his demeanor darkened: "Who the hell are you, and where is my girlfriend?"
Zhang Chi, finding the caller’s demeanor rather uncouth, knitted his brows tightly: "Your girlfriend just departed."
Wu Tie pressed further, demanding, "Who are you, and why are you in possession of her phone?"
Zhang Chi simply stated, "I found it."
Wu Tie roared in anger, "You absolute scoundrel, you actually picked it up? How incredibly arrogant! And she’s already left? Let me ask you, where are you right now?"
Zhang Chi, not one to sacrifice his dignity entirely for monetary gain, felt an overwhelming sense of misfortune. Already in a foul mood, he was now subjected to baseless insults!
Zhang Chi shot back, "Get lost, I’m in bed!"
A classmate who had just requested nude pictures from Wu Tie, a seasoned internet user, interjected loudly, "You’re in bed? Did you just take a shower?"
Zhang Chi answered truthfully, "Yes, I just showered."
He had been vomited upon by Zhang Yifei, necessitating an immediate shower!
Wu Tie felt as though the world was tilting, his despair immense: "You’re as good as dead, finished, totally finished!"
Young people are prone to impulsive actions; Wu Tie issued a threat: "Tell Zhang Zhaodi that I’m going back to smash her heart-shaped succulent plants!"
Zhang Chi erupted into uncontrollable laughter, finding the situation absurdly amusing: "Don’t smash them! She was actually planning to give the heart-shaped succulents to me! You should safeguard them for me instead!"
Wu Tie’s composure completely shattered: "I knew it, damn it, I knew this would happen!"
Zhang Chi ended the call, feeling a surge of elation. He tossed the phone back onto the hammock, unconcerned with it any longer.
Wa Temple Middle School.
Several boys from Class 3 of Year 2, basketballs in hand, were searching for Wu Tie near a comfortably shaded spot.
The leading boy grinned confidently, certain of victory in their upcoming basketball match: "Wu Tie, I’ve devised a strategy to dismantle your defense!"
However, the anticipated cheerful banter failed to materialize. The atmosphere was thick with unspoken tension as Wu Tie leaned against the wall, his eyes red as if he had been weeping.
The boys from Class 3 inquired with concern, "What’s wrong, man? Not feeling up to it?"
One of them offered comfort, saying, "You’re already incredible. If I had a girlfriend as beautiful as Zhang Zhaodi, I’d wake up smiling every morning."
Upon hearing this, Wu Tie’s face contorted in pain; the agony was simply unbearable!
"Its teeth seem quite sharp." Chen Siqing offered some grapes to the creature.
Chen Siyu exclaimed, "Amazing! It only took seven bites to devour a green grape!"
Xue Yuantong clenched her small fist, calling out as if summoning a puppy, "Little Nine, come here."
The tiny panda scampered over immediately, its ears bobbing cutely.
It dashed to Xue Yuantong, but when she opened her hand, her palm was empty.
The little panda playfully nipped at Xue Yuantong's finger in mock anger.
"Hehe." Xue Yuantong chuckled triumphantly.
Chen Siqing pondered seriously, "If we truly decide to keep it, we must ensure we care for it diligently, correct?"
Chen Siyu dismissively produced two bags of konjac snacks, stating, "Only the strong are worthy of being our pets!"
After their meal concluded, Jiang Ning rested by the stream for a bit, and the clock approached one in the afternoon.
"We have two hours until the gathering, let's wander around for a while," Xue Yuantong proposed.
"Let's return the cooking utensils first."
With that, Xue Yuantong placed the little panda onto the floral cart, and Jiang Ning guided the twins toward the animal park's administrative office.
Midway through their journey, they encountered Zhao Xiaofeng operating a sightseeing vehicle.
