Rebirth from the Ashes Chapter 795 Happy Ending
Previously on Rebirth from the Ashes...
As fresh parents, Shen Xi and Li Yuan had Shangguan Yanqiu and Fu Handing stepping in to help. Diving deep into childcare, the elders savored a chill life of tending gardens and doting on their grandkids.
Song Wenye often handed off her son to Shangguan Yanqiu and Fu Handing. The kind-hearted couple stayed calm, patient, and devoted to the kids. Best of all, their love for children made them overjoyed to care for them.
Time flew by in the wink of an eye. Before long, the kids progressed from crawling and toddling to dashing about and chattering after the grown-ups.
Crybaby Mianmian outgrew his habit of wailing over every little thing. Still, he fiercely challenged anyone who brought up his old ways.
Tangtang, mirroring Mianmian and Yu Song, transformed from a proper little princess into a total tomboy. She scaled mountains, scrambled up trees, snagged fish from rivers, and hunted bugs. No adventure scared her off.
Just yesterday, during hide-and-seek, she tucked into the bushes. Her hair ended up a tangled, knotted disaster impossible to brush out. Finally, Shen Xi grabbed scissors in a rage and chopped it short.
Li Yuan always backed his wife fully, endorsing her choices and handling the fallout. Now, at least, the girl's messy locks sported a neat buzz cut.
Shangguan Yanqiu and Fu Handing returned home heartbroken. They scolded Shen Xi for hacking off Tangtang's hair. It had taken ages to grow it that long.
Due to their little sister's hair mishap, Yu Song and Li Mianmian stood in the corner for timeout on their own. They vowed to shield Tangtang from any repeat incidents.
Tangtang ended up the happiest of them all. She flaunted her buzz cut to everyone like it was a huge badge of pride.
Shen Xi hovered between laughter and tears, declaring she ought to abandon the child.
Li Yuan comforted her, noting that girls like Tangtang stayed tough and avoided becoming doormats later on. Children deserved to act like kids while their youth lasted.
At Tangtang and Mianmian's second birthday bash, Fu Qingli popped the question to Lu Li, who finally agreed. Now it was their shot at bliss.
Their wedding was scheduled half a year out.
A seaside castle served as the wedding spot.
Shen Xi and the others arrived a month early to scout the area, though really it was just a vacation.
After a week of wild fun, the spectacular wedding unfolded. It outshone Shen Xi and the girls' ceremonies in energy, a enchanting display bursting with flowers, stunning scenery, and heartfelt wishes.
Tangtang and Mianmian served as flower kids. The cute two-year-olds injected extra cheer and adorableness into the event.
With Lu Guoguo in Shen Xi's arms and Lu Zhen in Li Yuan's, they watched the pair swap rings and pledges. Memories of their own wedding day flooded back to Shen Xi and Li Yuan.
Three years had vanished without notice. Their toddlers now hit two years old, stealing the show as flower bearers. Joy made time race ahead.
Li Yuan gazed lovingly at his wife beside him and clasped her hand.
Shen Xi leaned in close. 'Brother, I can't believe how time slipped away.'
Time had sneaked up fast. It seemed like only yesterday they wed. Those recollections and the pounding heart from that day stayed vivid in her thoughts.
'Yes.' Li Yuan replied with joy, weaving their fingers together. Her skin's warmth filled his heart to the brim.
...
Post-ceremony, Shen Xi whisked the children to the beach. Packing snacks, she spread a blanket and settled down.
The endless white sands and deep blue waves offered a stunning view.
Strawberries ranked as Tangtang's top fruit. Super fussy, she only munched the tip.
Shen Xi sparked that quirk by eating just the pointy strawberry tops herself. Both Tangtang and Mianmian copied it from her.
A gentle sea wind refreshed them, particularly as evening cooled things down and sunset splashed orange across the waters. This glorious moment was perfect for beach playtime.
Their private beach stood empty save for their family.
Spotting Shen Xi and the kids gone, Song Wenye dashed out and discovered them on the shore, digging into strawberries.
Shen Xi savored the strawberry tips, leaving the rest on an empty plate for Yu Song to finish.
Tangtang nipped the strawberry top and shoved the leftover into Yu Song's mouth.
Mianmian bit the strawberry tip, then frowned in confusion. He pondered what to do with the rest.
'Give me.' Yu Song offered.
Mianmian paused a moment before passing the remains to him.
Song Wenye didn't know if she should laugh or cry. This little guy truly lacked big dreams. Their family could easily buy strawberries, but he was settling for the scraps.
Feeling his mom's stare, Yu Song kept munching and muttered, "Mom, I love strawberries. The strawberry butt tastes the best."
He sneaked a quick glance at Tangtang.
Song Wenye silently pointed at him. Sitting down next to Shen Xi, she teased, "Look at that? My boy loves strawberry butts."
She took a bite from a strawberry and stuffed the remainder into Yu Song's mouth. "Eat more if you enjoy them. They're all for you."
Yu Song nodded obediently. "Okay."
Song Wenye gritted her teeth. The foolish child missed the sarcasm completely.
Shen Xi let out a soft laugh.
"Why the laugh?" Song Wenye whispered while smiling. "You owe it to Tangtang."
Song Wenye's boy took any food Tangtang didn't want or had left behind. He was utterly obsessed with Tangtang.
Shen Xi grinned back. "Your son would be a great husband."
Yu Song's everyday actions showed his sharp IQ and EQ. He was thoughtful, kind, and sensitive to others' emotions—impressive for his young age.
Song Wenye responded, "He's loyal as well. Has he ever been this sweet to any other girl besides Tangtang?"
With Shen Xi flipping around, the women shared glances and smiled.
The three little ones, savoring strawberries in the corner, looked their way. Though clueless about their mothers' smiles, they beamed right back.
A short distance off, Li Yuan and Yu Yuanxi strolled shoulder-to-shoulder toward the others.
The glowing sunset, the vast ocean, the women and kids by the shore, and the men approaching with affection painted a timeless scene of pure joy and warmth.
