Previously on Re: Tales of the Rune-Tech Sage...
Eagle, disguised as an ANBO operative, assassinated Viscount Dunhill with a poisoned blade. The Viscount's guards attempted to cover up his death, but were subsequently eliminated by other ANBO operatives. The news of the Viscount's demise spread, demoralizing the Stronghold's defenders and allowing the Vulture Bee Drone swarm to intensify its assault. Meanwhile, Udara (Eagle) prepared for the next phase, initiating a new wave of attacks using drone replicas of dangerous beasts. These beasts split into two groups, one to besiege the Stronghold and the other to advance on Mirador City, forcing the defenders to choose between fighting for themselves or their city. Inspired by a brave private, soldiers began to rise up and lead.
