After subduing the leader of Glass, Vanessa uses her ability to locate the nearby Flame Stones mine. Vritra and his group seize control of the mine for one day, with Vritra, Fiona, Yasmine, and Yennefer devouring the stones to absorb their powerful energy while the others extract and collect them. The group works tirelessly throughout the day, filling the mine with activity. Upon emerging, Vritra questions Glass about surrounding hostile organizations to target next, then departs with his companions toward the Blood Fang. During the exchange, Ming's unfaithful wife boldly attempts to seduce Vritra but faces swift rejection.

BOOOOOM

A horde of enormous crabs was hurled backward by a tremendous blast, their forms shredded into fragments.

Atop a single-story edifice, a figure loomed with his right arm lifted marginally. Devastation struck wherever his gesture directed.

A handful of other fellows lingered nearby, gazing at him with wonder, admiration, and trepidation.

'Denir's power is immense; we've trailed him from the start, yet why does the divide between us widen endlessly?' one fellow muttered.

'Why not step up and inquire directly?' the rest snickered, causing the initial speaker to tremble.

Nearby, a fellow riddled with injuries lingered, one eye utterly missing while the remaining one appeared damaged.

It was astonishing that he clung to life amid such grievous harm.

Morgan, the player who'd clashed with Vritra earlier, watched Denir's combat skills unfold.

He was equally stunned that, though not a player himself, Denir had advanced so remarkably, wielding an exceptionally potent ability.

'Perhaps these perils are the traps set by the gods for us, akin to that individual and the restricted areas.' Recalling Vritra sent chills racing down his back.

That vision had been utterly horrifying, freezing his blood even in memory.

Yet now it was under control; until he located the other players, he'd leverage Denir to eliminate that foe and seize the loot from the creature's lair.

'Excellent work, Denir; through my skill, I can aid your growth to even greater heights, at an accelerated pace!' Applauding, he advanced.

'Can you truly? Still, I lack faith in you, so you'll need to demonstrate your value in combat.' With those words, he aimed his hand at Morgan, who paled instantly.

Yet a smirk crept across his features, as though he'd foreseen it, and turmoil engulfed everything.

Vritra and his companions traveled atop the blood cart, regretting the loss of the wolves and carriages.

He vowed to slaughter that aberrant creature.

'Are you feeling alright?' he inquired.

In truth, he yearned to hasten back home so Yasmine could rest properly and avoid further perils.

For the moment, traveling and battling posed no issue, but circumstances would shift before long.

'Yes, hubby, I'm okay.' She responded, still struggling to accept her pregnancy.

Undeniably, this was a poor timing and location for such news.

'Our subsequent objective is the Blood Fang; rumors say their chief awakened a blood-based skill and lost his sanity.' Maeve commented.

'Then handling him ought to prove straightforward.' Vritra remarked.

BOOM

Any aberrant being that neared them burst into a crimson haze without delay.

Vritra gazed skyward, noting the intensifying heat as increasing amounts of snow began to thaw.

Perhaps with all the snow melted away, navigation would ease considerably.

That advantage would extend to the mutants as well.

His musings shifted abruptly as he pondered whether their child would be a boy or girl, starting to contemplate potential names.

At the thought, he couldn't resist turning toward Yasmine and planting a tender, affectionate kiss on the dragoness's brow.

She was taken aback but beamed after his soft, loving peck.

BOOOOOOOOOM!!

Precisely then, a distant detonation erupted, forming a vast plume of smoke like a mushroom.

For an instant, Vritra sensed an eerie stare fixed upon him, one that appeared intent on consuming him entirely.

More potent than any before.

However, it faded swiftly.

'What's happening? Have I been spotted so soon?' he pondered, urging greater velocity.

He had no desire to be detected by the Administrators or the World Bank's guardians.

Regrettably, or perhaps providentially, the initial discoverer was a woman acquainted with him long before his birth.

The very one who'd summoned the laws to bring him to the Zoratian world.

The same figure who'd bestowed Mutamorphis, Divine's powers, the Mythic Halos, and more.

His covert benefactress, somewhat unhinged.

Perhaps unhinged solely for him.

Across the years, the violations of rules she'd committed numbered in the stars; she even forged an alliance with the Divine, despised by gods and superiors alike.

Should her kin or peers learn of it, she'd face dire consequences, yet she risked it once more to reach this place.

And exerted every effort to ensure Vritra could ascend to Titan status.

That same golden-haired, staggeringly stunning woman—ethereal enough to rival Teresa—hovered over the smoke pillar.

It originated from that affection elixir; she'd dwelled alongside him for years prior to his emergence.

Her present incarnation had supplied Divine with that love pill, only for him to prompt Vritra to discard it.

The larger fragment had traversed dimensions and epochs, landing with her earlier self ages ago.

During her most fragile phase.

Thus, it remained puzzling whether the pill sparked her affection or if her pre-existing fixation led her to provide it.

'Just a little longer… My beloved, you'll join me shortly, and then you'll belong to me alone!' Her stare fixed on him before her form vanished.

She burned with envy toward the women encircling him, though she tolerated their presence.

Otherwise, none would have approached him.

Moreover, each of his companions played crucial roles in his future, explaining their access to him.

Oblivious to the deranged, infatuated woman's nearness, Vritra and his group soon reached Blood Fang's stronghold.

They dispatched numerous mutants en route, fortunately avoiding any overwhelmingly formidable ones.

'These wretched beasts, they're utterly revolting!!' Yennefer spat, as the party stormed into Blood Fang's lair.

The victims' scenes could readily induce nausea, with countless deaths and the earth soaked in blood everywhere.

'Huuuuuuh? Who's intruding huuuuh?' An odd noise echoed, followed by a mutant-resembling man emerging from a structure.

He clutched a ripped human limb, gnawing on the uncooked flesh.

Cannibalism—this swine devoured his fellow humans with savage brutality.

Vritra didn't view himself as wholly virtuous, but certain boundaries he refused to breach.

'Ohhhhh Meaaatttttttt, come for me uhahahaha.' His speech pattern was bizarre too, confirming his transformation into an odd mutant.

Throughout the outpost, none served under this brute, having become his prey.

As madness overtook him, his own followers fell first to his hunger.

'Woommeeeennn meat meat meat!! Surrender alllllll meaattttttttt!! Sooffffttttt meakkkkkk.' Discarding the appendage, he slapped his hands and charged at the party.

'You crave meat so fiercely, huh? Then savor this delicacy!!' Vanessa advanced, her gaze igniting.

In a flash, Blood Fang's chief was ensnared in a peculiar hallucination, howling and weeping briefly.

Then he started devouring his own body, ripping chunks from arms, legs, shoulders, and wherever his jaws could access.

'This fellow's remarkably limber…'

Ergen attempted to ease the tension as the chief contorted to consume his own genitals.
