Raising My Trash Ability into a Broken SSS+ Rank Skill Chapter 632 The Dragon

The leader of the survivor camp, distrustful of the newcomers, orders them watched closely while preparing for an imminent battle. Vritra and his companions set up tents and rest uneasily through the night, aware of the leering threats from the camp's men. In the morning, Vritra meets the boss, Bull, who assigns him to the dangerous vanguard role in an attack on the rival Bull Eater group and propositions him crudely, which he rejects. When pressed by Tat to disclose their abilities, Vritra provides misleading information, deftly dodging an aggressive challenge from the burly enforcer. The group shares a tense meal, steeling themselves for the perilous fight ahead.

Vritra and his companions trailed Bull's team as they navigated the underground sewer tunnel. Surprisingly, no filth cluttered the way, and no foul smell assaulted their senses.

In short order, a ladder came into view ahead. Bull led the way, scrambling up it first.

The outside world lay blanketed in snow, yet she slammed her palm against the cover, unleashing a surge of flames.

The ice thawed in an instant, shoving the manhole lid aside as she emerged into the open.

Before long, the entire party of eighty-two individuals had surfaced. Vritra's crew came out right behind, stunned by the chaotic scene around them.

Over half the structures had crumbled to ruins, and the earth looked freshly torn apart in places.

Far off, traces of the explosion they had triggered the day before still lingered visibly.

"Seems like a formidable mutant rampaged through this area." Bull remarked. This worked in their favor, as the enemy wouldn't anticipate a strike right now.

"Move out fast, we've got to hit them when they least expect it!" she bellowed, then locked eyes on Vritra.

"Adam, you'll spearhead the charge shortly." She instructed.

The large assembly pressed onward without delay. Naturally, a force this size drew nearby mutants, though they only had to watch for the tougher threats.

Merely moments passed before a bunch of mutants barreled toward them.

Vritra drew his machete, darting ahead with blinding quickness to sever their heads clean off.

'Oh! He's clearly aiming to catch my eye. Smart fellow—he'd make a fine asset if he proves faithful.'

Bull observed the display and resolved that, should he make it through, she'd bind him to her side for sure.

Meanwhile, Vritra merely racked up bonus points, harboring an additional purpose in his actions.

Along their path, he dispatched more than twenty mutants.

Bull found herself genuinely awed, certain he was performing solely to win her favor.

Prior to the end times, a striking, towering man like him would have ignored her completely. She relished drawing his focus now.

"Well done, Adam. We're nearly there." She commented, gesturing toward a school enclosed by a towering barrier.

The barrier had evidently been bolstered with extra fortifications and deadly snares.

"Form up, slaughter every man inside, spare not a soul!!" she commanded fiercely, as her followers shifted into battle lines.

"Form up, slaughter every man inside, spare not a soul!!" she commanded fiercely, as her followers shifted into battle lines.

Vritra and his nine allies, of course, held the vanguard spots. They'd be the initial casualties.

Her men gazed with sorrow, unwilling to see those stunning women perish so pointlessly.

TRRRRRRRRR

All at once, the school's internal siren blared to life. They stood exposed before the assault could launch.

"Damn it, who the hell snitched on us?" she snarled, scanning the crowd in fury but spotting no culprit.

"Just rush them!!" she thundered.

"Hold on, Bull! You positive about hitting us? We're all set for you. Guess your crew isn't as solid as you believed.

Besides, charging in will summon those colossal mutants. Certain about that?" A burly figure approached the perimeter fence, grinning derisively.

"You bastard, today you're dead no matter the cost. I'll throw away every last pawn if needed, but you won't escape me." Bull yelled. Deep-seated grudge clearly fueled their clash.

'Sigh, with mere survival this brutal, these fools chase vendettas without the power to back it up?' Vritra inwardly sighed.

Positioning himself next to Bull, he declared with assurance.

"Relax, Bull, I'll handle this one. I've got a secret technique that'll flip the battle entirely." His words stunned folks on both factions.

"Huh? What are you—Fine, I believe in you, Adam. Go on and unleash it." Bull forced a bold front, though uncertainty flickered within her.

'What's his scheme this time? Still chasing my approval, perhaps. Isn't his power only about velocity? What could he possibly achieve?' she pondered.

Vritra lifted his arms skyward, palms aimed upward like he was summoning some apocalyptic force.

Upon his cue, his nine companions discreetly retreated a bit, primed for their scheme.

"What's that fool up to? Did you recruit a con artist? He's really hamming it up—"

Yet abruptly, all eyes widened in shock toward the heavens as a colossal crimson dragon soared upward from the rear of their ranks.

This explained Vritra's mutant slayings—he'd gathered their blood as well.

The gigantic beast consisted purely of coagulated mutant blood.

"Whoa, a dragon? H-How in the world?" Shock rippled through the crowd as the grand serpent ascended loftily.

"A- Adam, you truly possess such a power?!!" Bull abruptly realized squandering him as bait would be a grave error.

She vowed to elevate him to her inner circle. That mighty dragon guaranteed their triumph.

The vast creature circled overhead, instilling terror in both camps.

It parted its jaws as though to bellow, halting hearts in dread. The Bull Eaters especially sensed impending doom.

BOOM

However, the dragon detonated out of nowhere, as if its energy had depleted.

"W- What? That's it? Explain yourself, Adam?!!" Bull reeled from astonishment to rage.

"Hahahaha! So he's a total fake after all. Gotta admit, you almost fooled me there. Hahaha, clever ploy, Bull. Some squad you've got!" The opposing chief cackled wildly.

She shot him a venomous stare, then whirled to confront Vritra, seeking explanations.

TIP TIP TIP TIP

In a flash, a downpour of gore rained from above, soaking all in the reek of decayed blood.

Vritra had observed something key: mutants shunned devouring kin, yet blood always lured them irresistibly.

Not one droplet touched him or his kin, halting precisely over their heads.

"What are you standing around for? FLEE!!" Vritra bellowed, pivoting to sprint at top velocity. His family sprang into motion without hesitation.

Those within and beyond the school walls froze briefly before grasping the horror—it was blood.

"T- That scum, he's drawing mutants straight to us!!" Comprehension dawned. Such a volume would summon every beast nearby.

"ADAM!! YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS!!" Bull howled. She'd begun warming to him, only for this betrayal.

Brushing off the chaos, she lunged after him, but a barrage of abilities hammered her.

Her form weakened swiftly, the descending blood poisoning her further.

For a split second, paralysis gripped her before she shattered it and pursued anew.

Vritra had briefed them on the getaway strategy. True to form, soon hordes of mutants swarmed that way.

Panic erupted as everyone scattered in frenzy.

"Yenni, lead them to safety ahead. I'll catch up shortly." He called, veering off course.

"Husband…" Yennefer hesitated visibly, yet she acted fast as the soil caved in beneath them, engulfing the group in seconds.

The ground sealed seamlessly, erasing any sign of them.

A tremendous swarm of mutants charged toward the sanguine lure.

'I won't squander this prime opportunity. Wonder how far I can advance from it.' Vritra mused, but then a torrent of fire consumed him.
