Raising My Trash Ability into a Broken SSS+ Rank Skill Chapter 621 The Game Begin!!
Previously on Raising My Trash Ability into a Broken SSS+ Rank Skill...
The moment had finally arrived!!
They were set to depart from the Zoratian planet and step into the third game hosted on Argento.
Following their recent marriage, Vritra and his wives possessed limited time; any further postponement would intensify the challenges ahead.
Everyone dressed up and feasted until stuffed, after which Vritra guided his wives to the hall.
His seven wives positioned themselves in front of him, and shortly afterward, Shitless and Onest, those pair of expendable allies, showed up.
"Alright, are you all ready to leave?" Vritra inquired, scanning their faces. Each of his wives responded with firm nods, their expressions resolute.
"U- Uhm pitiful one, do we still have a choi-" the monk lifted his hand to question.
"No, anyway, there are a few things that we need to know before going there." With that, Vritra prompted Divine to begin and convey his insights to the group.
"The planet you will be heading into is very similar to your Earth. Well, in a way, Earth too is a future game location anyway.
Your strength and abilities will be locked there, unless there is absolutely no other choice, do not reveal your strength. Otherwise, not only will you be thrown back here and lose, but you will even receive penalties in the future." Divine delivered his words gravely.
Then he continued: "Also try not to die. If any of you die, then there is no chance of bringing that person back.
Their soul will immediately be consumed by the game itself."
"As I mentioned before, you have to kill the participants from Argento Planet and reach the tower. Anyway, be careful there, don't trust anyone, be as brutal as possible.
The mutant monsters might not be the only danger there." Divine cautioned them.
"Is that all?" Vritra pressed, treating the game with utmost gravity.
"Yeah, for now. I will explain things further once you are there." Divine replied.
Everyone grasped that once the game commenced, their powers would revert to baseline mortal levels.
The team exchanged some strategies privately, as even Divine couldn't disclose every minor aspect at this point.
"Alright, we are ready!" Vritra declared. They weren't permitted to take inventory items or any possessions along.
"Soon you will be sent into the game. Try your best to survive, it will be very difficult, but your growth will still be fast."
As Divine concluded, the space surrounding the ten began to tremble, the surroundings blurring into haze.
Their forms lit up and fragmented into minuscule specks, gradually vanishing from the Zoratian planet.
Within a disheveled apartment, chaos reigned with shattered glass and scattered belongings everywhere.
The ransacking appeared fresh, and ten lifeless bodies sprawled across the floor, blood pooling in the hall.
The blood remained warm to the touch.
Abruptly, the corpses illuminated and dissolved moments later, alongside the bloodstains.
In their stead, ten figures materialized, the group peering around bewildered.
Upon arrival, Vritra swiftly detected the alterations in his physique.
Though their looks stayed the same, all strength and powers had vanished entirely.
'I feel so weak, I have really become a completely normal human.' Vritra shook his head, a surge of unease washing over him.
"This place… it has been turned upside down, looks like someone looted it." Yasmine examined the area, voicing her assessment.
"Onest, lock the door first. We need to understand the situation here first. Since it's already looted, I doubt those people will come here again." Vritra instructed.
"Haa this place sure is cold." Fiona chafed her hands, a light tremble running through her.
"Hmm it's still snowing outside." Diana glanced at the window, spotting the heavy snow blanketing the landscape.
Were it not for his knowledge, he might have sworn they were truly back on Earth.
Items like a TV, fridge, and others dotted the space, evoking a strong sense of familiarity.
Vritra realized they occupied a spot near the twelfth floor.
He inspected his inventory—empty—then stated: "Let's first search this place to find any weapo-"
Mid-sentence, his eyes darted to the nearby window, chills erupting across his skin, his pulse nearly halting.
In haste, he yanked Yasmine and Maeve, positioned next to him, behind the wall and signaled the group to remain hushed.
The rest fell silent and pressed against the wall, having vaguely perceived the threat moments earlier.
From their twelfth-floor vantage, he had just glimpsed an enormous eye matching his size, peering straight into the apartment.
A chilling murderous intent radiated from that monstrous eye, capable of wiping out all ten in an instant.
THUMP THUMP
The heavy footfalls of the massive beast receding rang out.
After lingering a while, he cautiously glanced out; the deformed, shattered mutant had indeed departed.
Snow blanketed the exterior world.
"Hoo what the hell was that? Things have already mutated to this extent here?" Vritra mopped the perspiration from his brow.
Perhaps due to his current mortal state, his responses had shifted dramatically.
In the past, such fear wouldn't grip him, yet now that horrifying mutant had nearly paralyzed him.
"Haa anyway, let's check this place for any sort of weapons we can find and clothes too, we will have to soon move out of this building."
Vritra urged as the group quietly rummaged through the area.
A few minutes passed before they reconvened in the hall.
"I found this steel pipe, it's broken on one side and looks quite sharp." Onest announced, twirling the meter-long pipe.
The sensation of utter helplessness unsettled them deeply.
"I found a broken knife."
Each had scavenged something, though these makeshift arms offered scant protection.
"These will work for now. Oh wait, how do we actually grow strong here?" Vritra questioned, having overlooked this key detail.
He clutched a metal baseball bat.
"By killing the mutant creatures. As you kill some, you will awaken different abilities. Your mutant progress will continue to increase." Divine responded without delay.
Vritra eased somewhat, relieved that Divine persisted, and the progression mirrored prior systems.
"Alright, it's time to head outside and check it out. We also need to find food and warm clothes, this place is really cold." The chill seeped even into his core.
Vritra approached the door and eased it open as softly as he could.
Next, he scanned the hallway, intending initially to raid neighboring units.
His corridor featured precisely four dwellings, two per side.
Two doors stood ajar, likely plundered already, akin to their current spot.
Bloody prints marked the hallway, trailing in and out of three units.
Just the fourth showed no signs of exit.
Yet his attention locked onto a silhouette at the corridor's far end.
Towering beyond eight feet with bulging, distorted muscles, even from the rear, Vritra recognized it as a mutant zombie.
It lingered motionless, back to the wall, its form marred by gashes and gore.
"Damn, just our luck. It seems pretty strong." Vritra mused, then recalled the status feature.
He shut the door firmly and mentally summoned.
'Status?'
