Raising My Trash Ability into a Broken SSS+ Rank Skill Chapter 561 The Bubble
Previously on Raising My Trash Ability into a Broken SSS+ Rank Skill...
Nearly every one of Vritra's skills was pushed to its limit.
Ignoring the agonizing pain throbbing in his skull, he funneled every available stat point into Strength, completely abandoning his defense.
Despite his efforts, the bubble remained trapped. As his mana burned away rapidly, Vritra began to trigger violent explosions in the surrounding space.
The fractures in reality widened and the dimensional passage began to tremble; it looked as though the entire structure was on the verge of total collapse.
Finally, the resistance snapped. The opposing force vanished, and the bubble was wrenched free.
Without wasting a single second, Vritra bolted back while the flow of time continued to fluctuate wildly around him.
BOOOOOOM!!
A thunderous blast echoed through the sky as his body was propelled like a cannonball, soaring hundreds of kilometers away from the mainland.
BANG
Vritra slammed into the earth, carving out a massive crater. He skidded for several kilometers, only coming to a stop after a long, destructive slide.
With both his mind and body screaming in pain, he struggled to open his eyes, finding the bubble still firmly in his grasp.
Yasmine lay inside the sphere, unconscious but unharmed.
It seemed this sturdy bubble had been the reason Vritra couldn't sense her presence earlier.
While shattering it wouldn't be difficult, he didn't have the luxury of time; his only priority was ensuring his wife's safety.
He immediately moved her into his divine realm and leaped away from the impact site.
BOOOOOOM
A moment later, a figure crashed down onto the exact same spot. The explosion made the earth tremble as the crater expanded even further.
“Oh, a demi god? I didn’t think this planet possessed one… were you a creation of those evil cults?
Last I checked, they failed because of that fist… that charged fist guy or whatever.” A heavy, resonance voice drifted through the settling dust.
Vritra hovered in the air, his gaze solemn as he looked down at the new adversary. He could sense that this creature possessed power far beyond his own.
“Not much of a talker, I see. You’re only a level 1 demi god, but that is still quite a feat for a world like this.” The creature ascended, its form finally becoming visible.
“And who are you?” Vritra finally questioned, crossing his arms over his chest.
“Just a random demi god hired by someone to retrieve that woman. Hmm, the game trials are starting soon.” Drino scanned the surroundings before adding:
“With your strength, passing the trials should be easy enough. So why not just hand her over so I can go on my way?”
Truthfully, Drino was irritated. He had handled the mission without a hitch; gaining the god’s favor had actually been too simple.
But just as he was departing, someone had managed to snatch his prize away.
He had been seconds away from completing the task and returning home.
At the final moment, this individual had appeared and nearly demolished the passage, forcing Drino to release the bubble.
Drino felt a strong urge to kill Vritra then and there, but a prolonged battle would only increase the planet’s pressure on him.
If he lingered too long, he risked being trapped on this world forever.
“That isn’t happening. Why don't you go back and tell those bastards to come get her themselves.” Vritra’s eyes glowed with a hateful red light.
Although his body had stabilized after the initial trauma, he had been fully prepared to take Drino down with him by blowing up the passage.
“Tch. And I thought this would be a simple job.” Drino sighed, shaking his head as he drew a bizarre weapon.
The weapon was over five feet long, covered in scales, and bristling with heavy spikes.
“I am a level 3 demi god. Are you certain you want to challenge me? You don't stand a chance,” Drino declared with absolute confidence.
The power gap between levels was immense.
Even with his full arsenal of skills, Vritra’s raw power couldn't compete with Drino’s. Perhaps only Titan’s Fall could grant him a victory.
However, the price was too steep; it would result in the total destruction of everything, including Vritra himself.
“We won't know that until we try.” Two long blades formed in his hands as the goop transformed.
He refused to back down, no matter the odds.
“Sigh, if that is your choice…” With a shake of his head, Drino vanished instantly.
“Forbid: Speed—”
[Forbidden Activated!]
BOOOOM!
The moment the skill triggered, a crushing blow slammed into Vritra’s back, sending him hurtling toward the ground.
However, Vritra’s state was actually improving as the mental strain faded and his physical wounds knit back together in seconds.
Utilizing his advanced comprehension of Null, he began to manipulate time and space in ways he previously thought impossible.
Just before hitting the grass, Vritra teleported.
The air around Drino began to hum. Suddenly, Vritra reappeared to the creature's right and delivered a sharp kick to its wrist.
BOOOOOOM!
“You damn lizard!” That single strike drained nearly twenty-five percent of Vritra’s energy.
Despite the massive mana cost, the attack was devastating, filling the sky with infernal flames.
It only caused Drino’s wrist to jerk slightly, but that was all the opening Vritra needed.
The T-Rex-like demi god was far too arrogant and hadn't taken Vritra seriously; otherwise, Vritra wouldn't have stood a ghost of a chance.
While this lapse in judgment didn't give Vritra a total advantage, he managed to achieve one goal.
As Drino prepared a second strike, he noticed a black substance coating his weapon.
“Noo—” This was his favorite armament, and he realized exactly what Vritra intended to do.
“DEVOUR!” With a roar, the goop consumed Drino’s weapon, making the massive object vanish in a heartbeat.
Vritra immediately teleported away to let the goop digest the prize.
Several system notifications flashed before his eyes, but he brushed them aside.
“Hmm. A fine weapon. Its rank… is quite high,” Vritra noted, surprised by the quality.
The weapon was actually at the Demi God rank, following the same hierarchy as living beings.
By consuming it, the goop’s power increased significantly.
“You miserable bug, how dare you steal it!!” Drino moved with such terrifying speed that Vritra couldn't even track the movement.
BOOOOOM!!
Once again, his body was sent flying. This was pure physical force; the power disparity was simply overwhelming.
COUGH
Vritra nearly spat out blood as he hit the ground hard.
Fleeing or hiding were not viable options, yet he knew defeating this monster was currently impossible.
‘What are my options? What can I do?’
Was his only hope to survive against this lizard demi god until the planet’s laws suppressed the intruder enough?
Vritra had no time to deliberate. Even with his mastery over time and space, he found himself struggling to make an impact.
Forbidden, Shift, Null—Vritra threw everything he had at the enemy, but Drino’s power only seemed to climb.
The scales on Drino’s body began to glow as his frame became leaner and more lethal.
A terrifying aura swirled around him as he deployed his demi god’s domain, sealing the entire area.
Suddenly, a crushing pressure weighed down on Vritra, and every one of Drino's strikes became a potential death blow.
Both Goop and Atomic were reaching their limits. His defenses began to crumble as Vritra was forced into a desperate, losing struggle.
