Vritra and his new wife, Teresa, share a quiet moment as he reveals his true identity and the existence of his other wives. While he explains their shared history and the dangers ahead, several intruders breach the Yate realm to target Teresa. Although the spirit Psyche and the monarch Gunter successfully repel the initial threats, including an envoy from the Golden Moon, the pressure from outside forces continues to mount. Worried for her safety, Vritra begins to insist that the pacifistic Teresa must learn to protect herself before the upcoming games.

Throughout the rest of the day, the Yate realm became a magnet for assassins, various organizations, and a diverse crowd of individuals.

While some attempted to infiltrate the territory in secret, many others arrived seeking to establish positive connections or hoping to purchase mystical treasures from the witch.

The day proved to be incredibly hectic for Gunter and Psyche, as both were occupied managing visitors within their respective departments.

Vritra, on the other hand, simply enjoyed his time with Teresa, assisting her as she settled into their new temporary residence.

The day concluded without much interruption for Vritra; the pair eventually fell asleep peacefully together, cuddling beneath the blankets.

Teresa showed less hesitation this time as she embraced him, resting her head against his arm while they chatted about various topics.

Because the bed lacked the space to accommodate four people, Fiona and Yasmine set up their own beds to sleep within the same room.

Vritra awakened early; his senses told him that Psyche was still occupied with the task of eliminating intruders.

Meanwhile, Gunter remained engaged in negotiations with powerful figures from influential organizations.

"Good morning, Tess." Vritra planted a kiss on her cheek. The stunning woman in his arms opened her eyes, a smile forming as she experienced such a gentle awakening.

"Good morning, husband," she whispered in response, before pressing her face into the crook of his neck and pulling him closer.

She required just a couple more minutes of rest.

"Don't forget we are visiting the Star realm today. We should start getting ready," Vritra reminded her after a short silence, gently patting her head.

"Mhmm," she murmured, finally pulling back. After a brief moment of shyness, she returned the gesture by kissing his cheek, her soft, dark lips pressing lightly against his skin.

She then rose from the bed and turned away, a warm sensation blooming in her chest.

The moment she stepped into the bathroom, Fiona and Yasmine revealed themselves.

"Darling, where is my morning kiss?" Fiona asked with a pout, stepping toward his bed.

She leaned over and pressed her soft lips to his. After allowing the kiss to linger for several seconds, she eventually pulled away.

Yasmine followed her lead, offering him a brief, tender kiss of her own.

Both ladies were already fully dressed and prepared; Yasmine had no intention of missing the upcoming events.

...

Before long, Vritra and Teresa were both ready, wearing matching attire that had been prepared by Ava.

"Tess, you look stunning," Vritra remarked, admiring the beautiful sight she presented.

"Thank you, husband," Teresa replied with a wide grin. She, too, took a moment to admire her husband's appearance.

She was equally captivated; he looked even more handsome than she had envisioned.

As Teresa moved to cover her face with a veil, Vritra stopped her.

"Tess, there’s no need for the veil. Let’s go out just like this," he suggested. Standing directly behind her, he rested his chin on her shoulder, both of them looking at their reflection in the mirror.

"But wouldn't that cause too much trouble...?" Teresa looked up slightly, her gaze becoming a bit dazed.

"It won't be an issue. Remember, I possess the Misty Essence mythic halo. They won't truly be able to see you, as I will mask your features with an illusion," Vritra explained, his arms sliding around her waist.

"Oh, I see. Thank you, husband." Teresa gave a bright smile. She wasn't particularly fond of wearing the veil constantly, but she knew that if ordinary people saw her true face, they would likely lose their minds.

Even without her saying a word, he understood her desires—even the ones she hadn't realized herself. She felt herself falling deeper and deeper in love with him.

"You are my wife. There is no need for 'thank you' or 'sorry.' Instead, you can provide something else in return—a reward for thanks and compensation for an apology," Vritra said, slowly turning her to face him.

"W-What?" Teresa felt her heart begin to race. Her focus shifted to his lips for a second before her senses started to blur.

"I'm waiting. Go ahead, give me my reward." Vritra leaned in closer. His arms remained firmly around her waist; otherwise, Teresa’s legs might have given way, causing her to fall.

"Uh, O-Okay..." Clenching her fists, she shut down her external senses and moved forward slowly.

Her pulse quickened and her body temperature rose.

A moment later, her moist, dark lips met his warm ones, though her aim was slightly off center.

Her lips only made contact with the left side of his mouth, yet the touch was enough to send shivers through her entire body.

Just as Teresa prepared to pull back, Vritra’s hand moved to the back of her head.

Vritra tilted his head, his lips grazing hers softly until they were perfectly aligned.

He didn't push further, simply pressing his lips firmly against hers; the sensation was absolutely divine.

The kiss continued for nearly half a minute before their lips finally parted. Her dark lips lingered against his for a heartbeat longer before they separated.

Her lips tasted so sweet that Vritra had to exert significant self-control not to lose himself in the kiss. He licked his own lips while gazing at her blushing face.

"Mm, delicious... So, you understand how to apologize or give thanks from now on, don't you?" Vritra asked, the feeling of her lips still fresh in his mind.

Teresa had her head tilted back. She had thoroughly enjoyed her first kiss; she never imagined that something could feel so incredible.

"Hmm." She gave a small nod, softly biting her lower lip in a way that tempted Vritra to keep going.

"Very good. Let's depart then. I want to see what the Star realm has to offer." Vritra finally stepped back, moving away from her warm, soft form.

Teresa turned away quickly, her face burning with heat. She pressed her hands to her cheeks, feeling the warmth radiating from them.

Vritra was in no rush. He intended to slowly nurture her feelings and strengthen their connection.

Shortly after, the pair exited the room.

Gunter had stopped seeing visitors for the time being. He was currently conversing with Yasmine and Fiona, who he assumed had just arrived to meet with Vritra.

"Please, come inside. I'll have my finest chefs prepare a meal for you while we wait for Art," Gunter said with great respect.

These two were easily the most significant individuals to visit the Yate realm thus far; everyone else was merely there to negotiate business deals.

"There is no need for that," Fiona declined, her expression remaining perfectly stoic.

'The rumors were true; the Phoenix Empress is truly intimidating. She has slain so many lords. I'm just glad she's on our side,' Gunter thought, breathing a silent sigh of relief.

He made a mental note to ask his son later how he had become acquainted with all of them.

"You two are here? Excellent. We'll head out once we've had breakfast," Vritra said as he appeared with Teresa. She wasn't wearing her veil, though to everyone except his wives, it appeared as if she was.

"Okay," Fiona agreed immediately.

'Wait, didn't she just refuse?' Gunter looked at them with confusion, but he quickly moved to order the chefs to prepare a feast.

"You two seem to be in quite a good mood. Did something happen?" Yasmine asked Teresa in a teasing tone. Since Fiona was now fully grown, she wasn't as entertaining to tease anymore.

"..." Teresa’s face turned a deep shade of crimson instantly. The memory of the kiss made it feel as though his lips were still on hers.

"Yes, she gave me her thanks," Vritra cut in.

Soon, the group of six took their places at the dining table. Ava and Gunter sat together on one side.

The four of them occupied the opposite side.

A variety of dishes were soon served, many of which were quite substantial for a morning meal.

After combining breakfast and lunch into one meal, the group finally set off toward the Star realm.
