Vritra's recent actions caused alarm, though no one openly challenged him. As the Yate family prepared to depart, Vritra received several powerful items from the Divine to aid his family and allies. However, a miscommunication led to Vritra shouting at Teresa, causing her distress.

‘Divine, you bastard, I’ll make you pay for everything you’ve done.’ Vritra swore internally, certain that the being had orchestrated this on purpose.

Standing up, Vritra rushed to Teresa’s side. She was weeping, and the sight filled him with genuine guilt, even if the situation was nothing more than a misunderstanding.

He pulled her into a warm embrace and began to stroke her back soothingly as Teresa hid her face against his chest.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't yelling at you. I was... speaking to someone else who made me lose my temper. I would never raise my voice at you," Vritra whispered softly.

Knowing she was prepared to abandon everything just to be with him, he couldn't bear to see her in pain or tears.

"I- I was *sob* the only one here, *sob* there is n- no one else..." Teresa managed to say between her sobs, her small fists gripping his clothes tightly.

Her cheeks puffed out in distress.

"It’s a telepathic ability of mine, so please stop crying. Seeing you like this makes me sad too." Vritra continued to comfort her for several minutes.

It took a while before her breathing finally steadied and she calmed down.

The two remained in an embrace, Teresa’s arms locked around him and her face tucked against the crook of his neck.

Still stroking her hair, Vritra asked, "But why would you ever think that I hate you?"

"I know you were trying to call off our wedding before; you didn't want to marry me. I'm much older than you, I'm blind, I can't have children, and my family demanded so many conditions..." Teresa murmured.

To her, his hatred seemed only logical.

Vritra let out a soft chuckle and tightened his hold on her. "You silly girl, I could never hate you. Regarding the marriage, there are things you don't understand yet. I'll explain everything to you soon."

Realizing she had already processed a lot, he decided to reveal the truth to her gradually.

After a brief silence, a thought occurred to Vritra. "You mentioned I didn't want to marry you, but you're saying it as if you’ve wanted this for a long time."

"Yes, I did," Teresa replied in a small voice.

"Hmm, but you didn't even know who I was. If it had been anyone else, would you have wanted to marry them too?" Vritra teased, adopting a mock-upset tone to brighten the mood.

He was curious; perhaps she possessed some hidden knowledge as well.

"Huh? No, I wouldn't!" Teresa pulled back suddenly, her stunning face inches from his.

"So, you knew I was the groom? I’ve been gone for quite a while, so how would you know?" Vritra questioned, though he had his suspicions.

"Uhm... let's discuss that once we are somewhere else," Teresa suggested.

"Alright, Tess, let's do that. By the way, what were you trying to show me earlier?" he asked, relieved to have addressed her insecurities so quickly.

"Oh, these rings! Do you like them?" Tess remembered suddenly. She retrieved the rings from the floor to show him.

"Wow, they are as beautiful as my Tess. I love them," Vritra remarked. He took one of the rings and gently slid it onto her finger.

"Now, it's your turn to help me," Vritra said, placing his hand over hers.

Even though her senses provided a partial view of the world, Vritra desired for her to see everything clearly. He knew he had to find a cure for her eyes soon.

They both donned the silver rings. Holding hands, they made a perfect pair.

They spoke for a while longer, the bond between them growing stronger.

"Are you ready to go?" Vritra asked. Teresa had donned a veil and garments that completely shielded her body from view.

She looked adorable in the oversized, loose clothing.

"Yes!" Tess exclaimed, eager to begin her new life.

Taking her hand, they exited the room. She wore a glove on one hand, while the other remained bare to hold onto him.

Gunter and the rest were waiting outside, engaged in conversation with Shen and his group.

"You've arrived." Ava looked toward her son and daughter-in-law, though she couldn't see Tess through her heavy coverings.

"Yes, let's depart." Vritra nodded, leading the way out of the Ford palace where a fleet of vehicles awaited.

The Fords were sending them off with numerous gifts. One particular vehicle was exceptionally lavish, intended by the Yates family to transport Vritra and his new bride.

Sakshi was present as well, her neck wrapped in bandages, rendered unable to speak for the time being.

The Fords were shocked to see Teresa out in the open. Sir Giant stepped forward, protesting, "Teresa, what are you doing? This is far too risky! Return to your room immediately!"

"She’s out here because she is leaving with me," Vritra stated firmly. He had already cast multiple layers of protective barriers around her so no one could get close.

Even his other wives would be unable to touch her by accident.

"What? That’s impossible; it’s far too dangerous. She must remain within the Ford realm. If you wish, you are welcome to stay here with her.

But for her own protection, we cannot permit her to leave. Do you realize the danger of her just walking around like this? Even a stray insect touching her could be fatal," Sir Giant argued, determined to keep Teresa confined.

"Don't worry. Even the air she breathes will be filtered. She will be safer by my side than in this realm," Vritra countered.

"Art, try to understand, this is for her well-being. Why can't you just live here?" Shen added, standing behind Sir Giant.

"No. Let's ask her if she wants to stay or come with me," Vritra said, as all eyes turned toward Teresa.

"Fine, let's do tha—" Sir Giant began confidently, but then he hesitated. He wondered what kind of spell the boy had cast to make Teresa so submissive to him.

"I will g—" Teresa started to reply, but Sir Giant cut her off.

"Her safety is paramount, regardless of her wishes. We cannot take risks. I'm sure we can find a compromise if we discuss this rationally, such as you staying here or visiting her frequently," he suggested.

Rich remained silent, offering no opinion. Sakshi also stayed quiet since she was physically unable to talk.

Otherwise, she would have insisted on Teresa staying. She had no intention of letting such a talented slave go.

Gunter stepped forward. "Sir Giant, we acknowledge your concerns, but we will do everything in our power to protect her. Do not worry; she is like a daughter to me now."

"No, you don't understand. You won't be able to shield her from the outside world, especially now that her identity is public. So just—" Sir Giant was interrupted as a plume of black smoke billowed nearby.

The sudden sight silenced everyone as they turned to look.

A figure emerged from the haze, dressed in black and wearing a golden mask.

"I am Smog, one of the seats of the Golden Moon. I have come to take Teresa Ford to our organization," the man declared, his eyes locked onto Teresa.
