The Mechanical Emperor nearly captured Lu Ze and his companions, exposing the terrifying gap in power between them and the supreme rulers. The Star Spirit Emperor intervened to protect them, sparking a tense confrontation that forced a temporary truce. Following the escape, the Star Spirit Emperor revealed that the universe is nearing total collapse, urging Lu Ze to continue his cultivation because his unique power source may hold the key to salvation.

As Lu Ze and the girls remained lost in thought, the figure of the Star Spirit Emperor dissolved into glittering stardust.

Exchanging wary glances, the group fell into a contemplative silence.

After a protracted pause, Lu Ze broke the quiet. "Let us find somewhere suitable to focus on our Cultivation."

The girls gave quick nods of agreement.

Deep within the Machine Cosmic Realm, a planet composed entirely of metallic structures hung in the void.

The Mechanical Emperor suddenly snapped his eyes open, and the surrounding cosmos shuddered with the force of his awakening. He cast a frigid glare toward the expanse where the stars resided.

"Star Spirit Emperor..." His voice was laced with biting frost.

Rising to his feet, he projected his indomitable will across his domain. "Summon every member of the Mechanical Race! Mobilize all forces to the Barren Realm and hunt down these individuals!"

He transmitted the data regarding Lu Ze and his companions immediately.

Across the galaxy, every unit of the Mechanical Race registered the command without delay.

Without exception, those capable of the journey began their trek toward the Barren Realm.

Simultaneously, the other emperors detected the violent friction between the Mechanical Emperor and the Star Spirit Emperor.

Conflicts between such entities were incredibly rare. Given that each had mastered a unique law, determining supremacy was arduous, often boiling down to who possessed a superior grasp of their respective principles rather than brute force. Yet, the Mechanical Emperor had acted with such overt aggression against his rival.

This display left the remaining four emperors deeply unsettled.

They promptly instructed their own kin to keep the Mechanical and Star Spirit Races under close observation. In a flicker of movement, they converged upon the Mechanical Empire.

The Mechanical Emperor perceived their arrival instantly. Manifesting before them, he demanded in a glacial tone, "What business do you have invading my empire?"

The Insectoid Mother let out a hollow, mocking laugh. "I am merely curious about the nature of your dispute with the Star Spirit Emperor. Perhaps we might offer some assistance."

Internally, the Mechanical Emperor sneered. Assistance? If they discovered the truth about those beings, they would be far more than mere helpers.

"It was a trivial matter concerning the universal barrier," he countered. "If you truly wish to assist, why not join forces to seal the Star Spirit Emperor away?" The Divine Empress offered a serene smile. "You have quite the sense of humor. If we continue to escalate this fighting, the universal barrier will disintegrate all the faster. When that happens, no one shall escape the aftermath."

"Since that is the source of the trouble, we shall take our leave," the Heaven Emperor remarked with a faint smirk, vanishing from the scene.

The remaining emperors followed suit, departing as quickly as they had arrived.

They clearly harbored doubts regarding the mechanical ruler's explanation, intending to uncover the truth through their own devices. Feeling a sense of mounting desperation, the Mechanical Emperor realized his ability to conceal the secret was waning. He could only pray to find those individuals before his ruse collapsed.

The Insectoid Mother wore a cold, predatory smile.

"I may not grasp the root of their conflict... but suffice it to say, this is enough."

She issued a decree to her cosmic lords. "Depart. Lay waste to the border galleries, and let the destruction begin."

"As you command!"

Legions of insectoids flickered out of existence.

At the remote edges of the universe, far from the influence of the emperor-level races, the insectoids emerged to bare their fangs. A tide of monsters surged toward the trade centers and civilian hubs.

Countless civilizations stared in horror at the infinite swarm, their hopes shattered by the sight of impending ruin.

There were simply too many to contain. Upon initial contact, the insectoids obliterated everything in their path with overwhelming force, leaving nothing but ruin in their wake.

Deep within the insectoid lair, the Queen glowed with an eerie, crimson light. She appeared transfixed, the sanguine energy pulsing through her biological frame.

"It seems to hold promise..." The Mother murmured with a thin smile. "Proceed with the harvest then. Ravage this universe, so that I may ascend beyond its limitations."

Had she attempted this previously, she might have waited for a more opportune moment. However, with the encroachment of those grey silhouettes and the stirrings of the Barren Emperor, the time had finally come.

Even the Star Spirit and Mechanical Emperors were at each other's throats. The age of chaos had dawned.

By initiating the carnage from the fringes, she ensured that by the time the major powers took notice, she would have amassed enough power to push the destruction toward its zenith.

"Let me bear witness... to what remains when all is reduced to dust..."

Three months passed within the Pocket Hunting Dimension, amidst a sprawling, obsidian mountain range.

"Roar!"

A dragon of midnight scales unleashed a thundering cry.

Lu Ze and his companions were locked in a grueling assault against the creature. Its physique was monstrously resilient; even the combined force of their simulated law-level god arts could only etch shallow grooves into its armored hide.

The dragon lacked blistering speed, relying entirely on its formidable physical god art.

After an hour of intense struggle, the beast finally collapsed, shaking the earth with its weight.

Nangong Jing watched the blackened dragon begin to turn to ash, sighing in relief. "Finally dead. Talk about a thick hide."

Lu Li chimed in with a nod. "Any longer and my spirit force would have been completely exhausted." Both Lin Ling and Alice echoed her sentiment.

Lu Ze smiled broadly. "Don't squander time; go gather the spoils."

This black dragon was a beast of the peak cosmic lord state.

It was the same species of emperor beast he had encountered on the very first map he explored. Only a few days prior, their skirmish had inadvertently provoked the beast, and unable to utilize space transmission, they had been nearly swatted to death by its raw power.

Just as the group prepared to depart the battlefield, the heavens darkened above them.

Five radiant pillars descended from the sky.

One of them struck the ground not far from where Lu Ze and his group stood.

A triumphant cheer broke out among them.

The long-awaited pillar of light had finally descended.

They had been waiting for this opportunity for a very long time.
