Xu Qing miraculously saves a newborn with CPR, but faints from blood loss. An old doctor, impressed by her skills, decides to help her. Upon arrival, Xu Qing's mother and a midwife are shocked to find three babies and a seemingly unconscious Xu Qing. The doctor reveals she narrowly survived childbirth and prescribes expensive medicine. When her mother can't afford it, the doctor provides the money himself, stating he doesn't save people without hope.

For four days, Xu Qing remained in an unconscious state. Qu Feng, positioned at the head of the bed, held the frail hands of the person lying there. With a face etched with exhaustion, she gazed upon the figure in the bed, and tears began to stream down her cheeks. "Little Qing..."

A persistent, noisy sensation permeated Xu Qing's awareness. She yearned to escape the disturbance but found herself utterly incapable of movement. Indeed, it was true... she appeared to have transmigrated into the body of a woman who had recently given birth. To save the infant, she had indeed expended every ounce of her strength during childbirth. She had resigned herself to death in an era characterized by primitive technology, never anticipating that she would survive.

With considerable effort, Xu Qing managed to pry open her eyelids, only to witness the woman by her side weeping profusely. A pang of remorse struck her. This woman was the Host's mother, an individual of profound gentleness. However, the Xu family was nothing short of a den of vampires. Qu Feng's husband was deplorably weak-willed, her in-laws were cruel, and a coterie of sisters-in-law reveled in causing discord. Even after bearing several children, Qu Feng's existence remained fraught with hardship.

Despite these immense challenges, Qu Feng fervently endeavored to shield her daughter, who had been on the verge of perishing. In the process, she had also forfeited the monetary resources she brought from her maternal home, including a cherished family heirloom. Stripped of funds, Qu Feng navigated the treacherous currents of the Xu family as if walking on fragile ice.

"Mother..." A faint, weak voice emerged.

"Little Qing? You are finally awake! This is wonderful news..." Qu Feng exclaimed, her voice thick with overwhelming joy.

"Mother, I am famished." Xu Qing's gaze met the ecstatic expression of Qu Feng, and a warmth spread through her heart. She was, by origin, an orphan devoid of any connections, possessing only her medical acumen. Now, confronted by genuine affection, how could she not cherish this newfound bond?

"Very well, Mother shall prepare something for you immediately!" Without delay, she bustled towards the kitchen, her movements filled with purpose.

A gentle smile graced Xu Qing's pale countenance.

"What remarkable fortune," the old man mused with a sigh.

The sudden appearance of the old man did not startle Xu Qing. "I had a feeling you had not departed. My gratitude, old man!" Xu Qing offered a smile. She could readily sense the improvement in her physical condition; it was undoubtedly the work of this physician. Although she possessed advanced medical knowledge, she was undeniably outmatched by him in matters of bodily regulation.

"My designation is not 'old man'; it is Bai Xian! Such disrespect, hmph!" Bai Xian expressed his displeasure at being addressed as an old man. He merely presented an aged appearance and had by no means reached senility!

"Indeed," Xu Qing responded with practiced calm. Internally, however, she was filled with profound gratitude. Her many years as an orphan had honed her ability to mask her true emotions.

"I shall not quibble with you further!" Bai Xian, his curiosity piqued, proceeded to voice the myriad questions that had been accumulating in his mind over the preceding days. "How did you ascertain the necessity of applying pressure to that specific area to facilitate the birth? And why did you introduce your finger to the infant's heart that day? How did the child truly revive? Do you possess medical expertise?"

Xu Qing arched an eyebrow, on the verge of responding, when she observed Qu Feng approaching with a bowl of porridge.

"Physician, you grace us with your presence as well? Have you partaken in a meal? There remains rice congee in the pot; allow me to fetch some for you." Qu Feng's reaction to seeing Bai Xian was devoid of surprise. Much like her earlier reaction to Bai Xian treating her daughter, she felt only pleasant astonishment. He was, after all, her daughter's savior.

"There is no necessity for that." Bai Xian's demeanor was cool and reserved.

"It so happens that my family is impoverished, and we cannot afford such provisions." Xu Qing's gaze fell upon the bowl of porridge, which contained a meager amount of rice. A bitter smile touched her lips. To think that he, a physician, would lack the superior sustenance, lodging, and transportation she had taken for granted in her previous existence. She harbored profound uncertainty about navigating this world devoid of technology and hampered by outdated information.

"Xiao Qing, refrain from speaking such nonsense. The Divine Physician is your savior. The medicine you consumed was procured for you by the Divine Physician," Qu Feng chided gently.

"I misspoke. My apologies, Divine Physician! Mother, where are my children?" Xu Qing offered an accommodating smile. While appreciative of his benevolent intentions, her outward expression remained somewhat aloof.

"Are they not beside you?" Qu Feng inquired, looking toward Bai Xian with a hint of helplessness. Fortunately, the divine physician seemed unperturbed by the situation.

Xu Qing blushed, finding it genuinely challenging to immediately assume the role of a mother. She finished the watery porridge and lifted her sleeping infant. A sharp pain then pierced her abdomen, causing Xu Qing to gasp. The discomfort was intense! Truly, the path of motherhood was arduous!

In the ensuing days, with Qu Feng compelled to return to the Xu family's farm for labor, Xu Qing, now a mother, gradually commenced the process of acquainting herself with childcare. However, her physical weakness persisted, and she lacked sufficient milk. Furthermore, the daily consumption of rice soup proved unpalatable, a sentiment shared by the infants.

After observing Bai Xian, who was delicately stroking his beard while taking her pulse, Xu Qing noticed his expensive attire. Her expression shifted, and she then inquired, "Esteemed doctor, would you be able to lend me some funds?"

Bai Xian's hand gave a slight tremor as he heard her.

"Upon my recovery, I shall repay you twofold," Xu Qing stated, seeing his lack of response. A hint of exasperation crossed her face as she added, "Furthermore, should you ever face any challenging ailments in the future, I will personally assist in their resolution!"
