Ethan looked at the pillar for a moment before slowly reaching toward his back. His fingers wrapped around the handle of his greatsword, and he pulled it out with a steady motion. The heavy blade came into view, and a faint pressure spread through the underground chamber.

"Time to work Solaris!" Ethan spoke, pulling out his mana.

The moment his mana surged through his body, a heavy flame blast erupted from him. Intense flames poured out from his body and quickly gathered around the greatsword. The blade began to glow as the flames wrapped around it, and waves of heat spread through the chamber.

The energy around Ethan continued to rise. Flames moved around his body and then gathered toward Solaris, forming a thick layer of fire around the greatsword. The ground beneath his feet started to heat up, and the nearby magic formations flickered from the sudden pressure.

Behind Ethan, a faint silhouette of a flame dragon slowly appeared.

Garran stood before the Capital with a darkened face. His eyes remained fixed on the city walls as the soldiers continued bombarding the barrier with attacks. Explosions kept appearing across the surface, but despite the constant assault, the barrier still stood firmly.

"Just what is going on?"

Garran clenched his fist and stared at the barrier with growing frustration. He looked at the people around him before speaking again.

"We have attacked with all our might, but still it isn't enough to shake the place."

He stared at the barrier for another moment and then turned toward Lancelot.

"Duke Lancelot, what is this?"

Duke Lancelot also maintained a sombre expression. Even he had been taken aback by what he was seeing. As someone who had personally overseen the construction many decades ago, he knew the barrier was formidable, but he had never expected it to be this strong.

Several Transcendent Knights had already struck the barrier with their attacks, yet it was not enough to put even a proper dent in it. The barrier continued to shine as it absorbed the attacks and spread the force across its entire structure.

Lancelot slowly narrowed his eyes.
