Several knights immediately moved aside as the beam passed between them and struck a distant mountain. The upper section of the mountain exploded and collapsed under the impact.
One of the Transcendent Knights stared at the destruction with disbelief.

He quickly moved away as another blood-red attack passed beside his body.
"So what is this weird energy attack that he is spewing?"
His question was met with a brief pause.
Even several of the Emperors had the same thought.
Alaster had always been known as a swordsman. His strength, techniques, and reputation had all been built around his sword, yet he had not even drawn a weapon since the battle started.
The strange blood-red energy alone was enough to suppress them.
Alaster slowly emerged from the smoke.
There was barely any damage on his body.
Emperor Ezekiel's face twisted in anger.
"Don't get distracted!"
He shot forward and brought his greatsword down toward Alaster's head.

Alaster raised his arm.
The greatsword stopped against his forearm.
Ezekiel's eyes widened.
Alaster immediately swung his other hand.
Emperor Ezekiel pulled his sword back and crossed it before his body.

The impact still sent him flying backward.
Emperor Aldric and Emperor Caelus attacked from both sides before Alaster could follow him.
Two powerful sword attacks struck toward his neck and waist.
Alaster twisted his body and avoided the first blade. His hand caught the second weapon before it could reach him, and with a violent pull, he dragged Emperor Caelus toward himself.
Caelus immediately released his weapon and retreated.
Queen Ophelia attacked at the same moment.

Several glowing chains appeared around Alaster and wrapped around his arms and legs.

Alaster slowly looked around at everyone surrounding him.

They had attacked him from every direction and had barely forced him to move.

Emperor Ezekiel's roar echoed across the battlefield.
The moment his order was given, every Emperor, Transcendent Knight, and court mage attacked together. Sword aura, magic, arrows of light, walls of ice, and waves of pure aura surged toward Alaster from every direction. The attacks completely surrounded him until there was almost no space left to escape.

The battlefield shook under the combined assault.
Several attacks reached Alaster almost at the same moment.
Instead of meeting them head-on, Alaster suddenly disappeared.

His figure blurred and slipped between the attacks with frightening speed. He twisted his body just enough to avoid a sword arc before stepping past a beam of magic. An ice spear missed him by only a few inches, but he leaned slightly to the side and let it fly past. Every movement was clean and precise as though he had already predicted where each attack would land.
"What?"
Several Transcendent Knights stared in disbelief.
"He dodged all of them?"
Before anyone could react further, Alaster suddenly appeared directly in front of Emperor Ezekiel.
The distance between them vanished in an instant.
Ezekiel's eyes widened.
"So fast..."
Alaster did not waste a single movement.
He pulled back his fist and drove it straight toward Ezekiel.

The punch landed heavily against Ezekiel's guard and the force exploded outward. Emperor Ezekiel was blasted backward through the air before he managed to steady himself several hundred meters away. His boots scraped across the ground as he finally stopped, leaving two long trenches behind him.
At almost the same moment, Emperor Aldric attacked from the side.
His long blade flashed toward Alaster's neck.

Alaster calmly lowered his head.
The blade swept just above his hair before missing completely.
He took another quick step and slipped past Aldric's attack as though he had seen it coming long before it was thrown.
Emperor Caelus immediately seized the opportunity.
He rushed in from behind with his weapon raised high.
"Take this!"
His heavy strike descended toward Alaster's back.
Alaster turned around at the last moment.
He caught the weapon with one hand before twisting his body and grabbing Emperor Caelus by the shoulder.

Using the Emperor's own momentum, Alaster slammed him heavily into the ground.The earth split apart beneath the impact while broken rocks flew into the air.
Emperor Caelus coughed and immediately rolled away before another attack could follow.
Several sharp icicles suddenly shot through the air.

Alaster's eyes shifted toward them.
His figure moved again.
He stepped between two of the icicles, turned his shoulder to avoid another, and leaned backward as a fourth spear passed just in front of his face. One last icicle grazed his sleeve before striking the ground behind him and freezing the surrounding rocks into solid ice.
Without stopping, Alaster immediately changed direction and charged straight toward Heliana.
His speed was so great that the distance between them disappeared within moments.
Heliana tightened her grip around her staff.
Just as Alaster was about to reach her...

A gigantic mace made entirely of holy light came crashing down from above.
The dazzling weapon struck Alaster squarely in the side before he could attack.
The impact echoed across the battlefield.
Alaster's body was blasted away and sent flying across the ruined land. He crashed through several large boulders before finally stopping after carving a long trench through the shattered ground.
