Paragon Of Sin Chapter 1980 Chapter 1972: Outer Domination (1)
Previously on Paragon Of Sin...
As Element digested the Mote of Heaven, the spirit slipped into a state of growth-induced hibernation. This process was expected to last more than four hours, so Wei Wuyin chose to pass the time with Tilly once again. Her melodic, breathless cries echoed continuously within the confines of their isolated spatial bubble.
The Outer Stellar Battlefield of Order.
This was a sprawling territory dotted with residences, ranging from solitary palaces and sprawling metropolitan hubs to artificial mountain ranges housing caves that seemed plucked from immortal legends. These peaks were adorned with breathtaking vistas that felt strangely out of place on a savage battlefield defined by conflict and slaughter. It was a mask of manufactured elegance hiding a grim reality.
The entire region felt opulent and teeming with vitality. Upon his arrival, Wei Wuyin felt as though he had stepped onto a world populated by cultivators. The only jarring differences were the lingering, indelible scent of iron-rich blood and the faint, ghostly echoes of deathly wails carried on the breeze.
"Is this the Outer Battlefield?" Wei Wuyin asked. Beside him, Tilly was hurriedly adjusting her clothes and smoothing her disheveled hair, pulling it into a swift ponytail while pursing her lips. She shot him a look of suspicious envy. Even after their intense sessions of passion, the man appeared completely unfatigued and perfectly composed, particularly impressive given their recent encounters with two other partners.
Eventually, she scanned the highly developed landscape and nodded. "This specific access point for the Outer Battlefield is controlled by the Utmost Purity Galaxy. Because of that, the population consists mostly of Alchemists. Their way of life is quite... unique. Also, they are incredibly dominant."
"Dominant?" Wei Wuyin noted. He was aware that while Inner Battlefields were usually restricted to stellar regions, Outer Battlefields encompassed entire galaxies. This was a zone belonging to the Utmost Purity Galaxy. Such arrangements were common, as Greater Galaxies often expanded by absorbing smaller galaxies in their entirety.
Originally, Galactic Clusters consisted of thousands of individual galaxies grouped together. However, systemic colonization by cultivators had caused them to consolidate over time. A Mystic Overlord was capable of governing a small galaxy on their own. Given their command over the Ways of Mysticism, it was no exaggeration to view high-level cultivators of the Mystic Ascendant Realm as god-like beings.
The Utmost Purity Galaxy itself was a marvel—hundreds of galaxies merged into a single entity through miraculous means. This wasn't a random act; it was a calculated strategy to raise the environmental grade and stabilize the space of the galaxy, thereby increasing its growth potential and the quality of celestial bodies it could support.
A standard galaxy would undoubtedly collapse under the weight of a single Dominion. Furthermore, the sheer pressure of a Supreme Sage releasing their aura could disrupt an entire celestial alignment in an instant. Even the simple act of cultivation—refining a mere speck of Resonant Qi of the Heavens—might drain an ordinary galaxy of its essence entirely.
Due to this evolution and the requirement for suitable habitats, powerful experts focused on enhancing their galaxies through specialized celestial-formation arts. Some Mystic Overlords and Resonant Soul Realm experts even fashioned their own Starfields or nascent galaxies within World Realms or Secret Realms. That enigmatic woman had, in her fury, once wiped one of those World Realms out of existence.
Despite these advancements, the vast reaches of the Dark Void remained uninhabitable. This left massive stretches of empty space between galaxies that could take anywhere from months to millennia to cross, depending on one's cultivation level. The void was simply too expansive and devoid of celestial matter.
Consequently, the 3,000 Outer Zones representing various global regions were all claimed by the thirty-three galaxies. In truth, the primary reason the galactic cluster involved all thirty-three galaxies was due to these Battlefield access points. These 3,000 Zones involved every known galaxy in the cluster. Even though there were far more than 3,000 Outer Stellar Access Formations in existence, they were condensed into only 3,000 Zones.
It was an interesting dynamic...
"Hold on..." Wei Wuyin paused, looking up at the Globes of Creation. They appeared larger and more radiant here, though there were fewer of them. He understood that the Outer Battlefields provided superior War Souls, though the risks were significantly higher. The physical scale of the Battlefield, however, remained constant.
He turned his gaze toward Tilly, the Entry Moderator. "Which Galaxy do you come from?" he asked, his voice carrying a hint of curiosity.
Tilly Winehart replied instantly, "I was born right here."
"In the Battlefield?" Wei Wuyin was taken aback. Seeing her nonchalant attitude, he realized this wasn't unusual information.
She nodded, finally finishing her hair and stretching her limbs after her "work" was done. "Every Moderator, Envoy, and Overseer is born within this place. It is a mandatory requirement to be able to operate the arrays and formations here," she explained, checking the back of her hand to confirm their coordinates.
Wei Wuyin had seen her do this before. Intrigued, he extended his Spiritual Sense toward her palm. "Oh?" He detected shifting runic patterns saturated with Spiritual Divine Mist. As a cultivator who had reached the Divine State in five Spirits of Cultivations and possessed Kratos’s Primordial Divine Mist, he was one of the few capable of seeing divine mist without the Celestial Eyes of Spiritual Divinity.
The runes were written in a foreign script. However, it took him only a moment to decode them, as his Magi Royalty Bloodline granted him an instinctive grasp of all languages. The text read:
[Location: Selene Realm, Upper Luminescence Zone]
[Entry Requests: Zero]
She looked up at the distant towers bathed in a soft, silvery-blue glow. "We are currently in the Upper Luminescent Zone. Those structures are the Towers of Selene. The Inner and Outer Battlefields follow similar principles, but the Chaos Descents here are far more lethal, and gathering Creation Value is much more difficult. The primary distinction is the caliber of the opponents you face."
Wei Wuyin let her continue her explanation. Once she finished, he asked, "Then why don't Creationists just stay in the Inner Battlefield or the Lower Zones? It seems like it would be much simpler to collect War Souls there." He began walking with purpose toward the Tower of Selene for this zone.
"There are three reasons," she said, holding up three fingers as she kept pace with him. "First: You are only permitted one entry as a Soldier and one as a Commander. Second: Once your Merit reaches a specific threshold in either role, you are given a very short window to progress to the Outer or Nexus Battlefield, or you face Expulsion. And third: The quality of the War Souls."
"Quality?" Wei Wuyin had gathered most of his War Souls during his previous stint in the Nexus Stellar Battlefield. Logically, those should have been of the highest grade.
Tilly went on, "War Souls come in Gaia, Selene, and Eros qualities, and these grades significantly impact cultivation. In terms of raw valuation, they are all stellar-grade. However, the second reason is why most people are forced into the Outer Battlefield. Even though Creation Value is harder to earn here, every single point is worth triple what you'd get in the Inner Battlefields."
"Understood," Wei Wuyin acknowledged, eyeing the glowing Tower of Selene. Once again, he reached the wall of chaos.
Tilly’s heart began to race. "A-again?" she stammered.
Wei Wuyin smirked as he pressed his hand against the barrier, the Identity Rune held between his fingers. He looked back at Tilly, whose eyes were filled with a mix of stuttering nerves and intense anticipation. "Back in my home, there was a term we used as children regarding the Foundation Establishment Realm. It described kids who sprinted through the process at maximum speed without pausing, using shortcuts to get the same results in a fraction of the time. It was usually a luxury for the children of wealthy clans—and in my city, I was one of them. I was known as a bit of a young tyrant."
"Really?" Tilly’s eyes sparkled even more brightly.
"We called it 'Speedrunning'! Haha! And that is exactly what I intend to do here."
"Speedrun the Battlefield?" Her breathing grew heavy and shallow.
"Hahaha! I HEREBY DECLARE A WAR OF CREATION! AGAINST EVERY OTHER ZONE!!!"
