Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven Chapter 686: Drastic Changes In the Inner World And Interference
Previously on Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven...
His internal cosmology had become vastly larger, more sophisticated, more stable, and more alive than ever before. What was once a relatively modest universe had transformed into something approaching the cosmic structures found within the 10th Plane of Existence.
Then something unexpected began happening.
Grey frowned as he sensed unusual activity within his universe.
The beings living inside his cosmos were changing.
Numerous inhabitants who had previously reached around the 7th Rank were suddenly ascending. Their evolutionary bases expanded, and their power increased without any apparent effort on their part.
Grey watched in genuine confusion as civilization after civilization experienced simultaneous breakthroughs.
8th Rank.
9th Rank.
By the time his universe completed its transformation, countless beings had reached 9th rank. There was not a single being in his universe that was not at the 9th rank.
Grey stared at his internal universe with a baffled expression.
“What is happening?”
This was not how an ordinary universe was supposed to function.
Normally, beings living within a universe must cultivate through their own efforts. They needed to comprehend their own paths, overcome their own bottlenecks, and become stronger through personal struggle and achievement.
The creator of a universe becoming stronger should not automatically drag every sufficiently powerful civilization upward with him.
Yet that was exactly what had happened.
What about balance? What the heck was this?
Grey examined the phenomenon more carefully, his confusion growing with each observation.
His universe was no longer behaving like an ordinary internal universe.
He was now hundred percent sure that this had something to do with his Nexus energy, nothing else can explain this phenomenon. Alissa’s universe was not like this after all and she followed the Summit Of Nexus, hence, he ruled out the possibility of it being due to the Summit Of Nexus.
Grey became increasingly speechless as the implications sank in.
“What will happen when they eventually open their own Dao?”
Normally, reaching that point could eventually lead beings to transcend their native universe entirely. But Grey realized his universe had already evolved enough to accommodate increasingly powerful existences.
After reaching the peak of the World Opening Realm, its quality now resembled a universe belonging to approximately the 11th Plane of Existence. Its inhabitants did not necessarily need to leave simply because they became stronger.
They could stay and grow.
The Nexus Continuum had undergone another major improvement as a consequence of this advancement. Grey’s control over everything connected to it had increased substantially, giving him considerably greater authority over the entire network.
Then Grey noticed something else.
The powerful inhabitants of his universe had discovered undeniable evidence of his existence.
Some of them were now actively attempting to contact whatever being was responsible for their cosmos.
Prayers, rituals, scientific experiments, dimensional probes, countless methods were being employed across Grey’s universe as its inhabitants desperately tried to reach their creator.
Grey found this development both fascinating and troublesome.
Dealing with trillions or potentially countless beings who had suddenly realized their creator existed would be an enormous distraction from his current priorities.
He created a clone and sent it into the universe.
“Handle communication with them for now,” Grey instructed his duplicate. “I have other things to deal with.”
The clone nodded and disappeared into the internal cosmos.
With his advancement complete, Grey returned his attention to his immediate situation.
He looked around the ancient forest and considered his priorities.
“Alright,” he said. “I need to find intelligent inhabitants of this realm, locate Alissa and the others, figure out the path toward the 11th Rank, and discover what happened to the Higher Realm’s consciousness.”
Grey turned his attention inward.
“What do you think it was, Fragment?”
The Fragment of the Heavenly Dao stirred within his consciousness.
“I genuinely do not know,” it replied. “Strangely, I cannot remember that occurrence either.”
Grey became thoughtful at its words.
“If you had been within my Heavenly Dao state, you should theoretically have been capable of understanding or remembering what happened.”
“That is correct,” the Fragment agreed. “My Heavenly Dao state is, one way or another, extremely close to the Ascendancy Domain.”
The Fragment emerged from Grey’s body and began floating around him in a casual rotation.
“Don’t worry, Grey. If it comes down to it, we can use the Heavenly Dao mode and flatten them to the ground.”
Grey smiled at its reassurance.
“True.”
“There should be additional Fragments somewhere within the Higher Realm. I intend to find them so you can eventually become complete.”
The Fragment nodded at his words.
There are no longer any Lesser Heavens remaining within the Mortal Realm. The remaining Fragments or related existences should be somewhere within the Higher Realm.
This place also has an extensive history involving the Abyss and Azatharoth. It’s one of the places most frequently attacked by them, potentially even more frequently than the Mortal Realm.
“Alright, let’s go now.” Grey said to the Fragment.
Luckily he wasn’t truly alone. He had Finality, Fragment and even the World Tree.
And coincidently, his consciousness could now cover the entire forest but beyond that there seemed to be some sort of interreference. he naturally had to check it out. Perhaps that might be the way to leave this placce.
During his journey, he repeatedly discovered more absurd natural treasures. More Flowers containing miniature universes, fruits radiating concentrated Dao.
Grey collected the valuable ones he recognized or comprehended, storing them away without much ceremony.
The Higher Realm’s resource abundance was simply on another level entirely.
Eventually, Grey reached the area of interference and a massive barrier blocked his path forward.
The shimmering wall of energy stretched upward beyond his current perception and extended in both directions as far as he could see.
Grey stopped in front of it and frowned.
“A barrier?”
He examined it briefly, studying its structure with careful attention.
“Who placed something like this in the middle of the forest?”
Grey investigated more carefully, his eyes flickering with golden circuits as he analyzed the formation.
This was not an ordinary barrier.
It was a genuine 13 Star array formation.
The difference between this formation and lower-level arrays Grey had previously encountered was staggering. It possessed an absurd number of interconnected layers, spatial principles, isolation mechanisms, overlapping formations, and Dao woven together with extraordinary precision.
Under ordinary circumstances, someone at Grey’s current Realm should have essentially no chance of casually understanding a 13-Star formation.
However, Grey was not “someone”.
He was him.
His comprehension ability activated.
[Your comprehension defies the heavens! By observing the Absolute Spatial Solitude Array, you’ve understood how it works.]
Grey slowly grinned.
